It is what it is

(2012) The Whirlpool (In French with English subtitles) DRAMA

Sound edited, edited, cinematography (photographed), produced, co-written and directed by Alvin Case that has Agathe (Agathe Feoux) traveling to Niagara Falls from Paris. She is then approached by another traveler who helped light her a cigarette we find out his name is Victor (Pierre Perrier). Victor who supposed to be with a group, he actually stays in his car, Agathe then offers him to share her motel room. And it is not long before they hook up, before he takes her along to meet one of the houses he used to grew up in visiting his uncle, Gerald who is a pastor and his son, Gordon (Gordon Ramsey). Nothing much happens but I do agree with one of the reviewers claiming it to be French New Wave inspired more so by the likes of Jean Luc Godard than Francis Truffault. You watch this for what it is than for the conclusion you want. One memorable moment for me is Agatha singing eating about the "Denny's" restaurant after eating their for a week with Victor.

Sexy Love Flick

What happens when a lonely girl (Agathe) on vacation at Niagara Falls meets a handsome young Frenchman (Victor)? Both it turns out have somewhat dubious careers and pasts, and they quickly fall for each other. What follows is a sexually explosive love affair shot in a retro experimental style reminiscent of the 60's Nouvelle Vague-think Goddard and Truffaut. Agathe is honest and raw in her emotions, while Victor can be controlling and mean. As their romance morphs into a road trip eastward across New York State, they discover that they may in fact be made for each other. Beautiful cinematography by director Alvin Case makes the film.

Torrid Love Affair Burns Up the Screen

Pretty but lonely Agathe (Agathe Feoux) meets charming French grifter named Victor (Pierre Perrier) while vacationing at Niagara Falls. Both have somewhat dubious careers and pasts, and they quickly fall for each other. What follows is a sometimes turbulent and sexually explosive love affair shot in a retro experimental style reminiscent of the 60's Nouvelle Vague-think Goddard and Truffaut. Agathe is honest and raw in her emotions, while Victor can be controlling and mean. Their romance morphs into a road trip eastward across New York State: could this be true love after all? Beautiful cinematography by director Alvin Case compliments bravura acting performances by both leads. A sexy and fun look at romance, French style.
