Pandy wandy

It's funny because I found out about this guy on Tom segura's and Bert kreisher's show and thought it was Chris d'elia at first; he talked about how no one wanted to buy his special and was just gonna do it regardless then put it on YouTube. I think it's kinda funny how he calls them all out, hbo, Hulu, Netflix and all, and Netflix changed their minds, bought it and still kept it in. I was kinda shocked that it's a little short at 36min but I like it. I don't want to say it but it just feels like a typical white guy comedy at first but it is funny. He seemed to wonder or try to wonder off into the edgy material content but never really commits to it here. I don't know if all his specials are like that. I love how he talks about how white guys are getting canceled and he's switching over, I loved that part. Every time I watch stand up specials I'm usually inclined to give it a 7 or 6/10 because I'm like ouu I like that, but you can't really give it a rating because humor is subjective and just depends on what you like. I just try listening to all sorts of comedy so you'll find me laughing at dry dad jokes at one moment, a girl complaining about their Frappuccino order getting messed up after spin class in the next moment and then later hear me laughing at distasteful jokes about dead babies or religion. I just think funny is funny. Chris distefano felt like white guy comedy but I still thought he was good at it and just didn't showcase what he's capable of. I mean you can tell, the specials name is speshy weshy and he calls the pandemic the "pandy wandy" and that just felt like white vibes I think.

Wasn't my fav

Its ok. I usually think he's hilarious but the whole "I married a latina" schtick is a lil annoying. Some of its funny but it gets kinda old when "typical white ____ " makes its way into every part. The whole thing basically was that context. I call this. "casual viewing" bc its something I'd leave on TV while I'm folding laundry.

Love Chris but hate this anti white crap

I've been a fan of Chris for years but I'm so tired of people thinking it's okay to joke about being white like it's a bad thing. I'll stick to listening to Chris on different podcasts where he's much funnier.

don't understand the negative reviews

I'll be honest, I don't understand the negative reviews. I thought it was funny. I laughed/chuckled at a good number of the jokes. I saw somebody said it was "white guy comedy" and honestly I can see why, but I didn't think that detracted from what he was capable of very much. "white guy comedy" is fine for me... but then again, I'm a white guy so who knows.

I like this guy, I like this special, I think he did a good job.

Of course, it's not amazing or hilarious or anything but I enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic, straightforward comedy special...

ok at this point I'm just trying to hit the character minimum.

I respect him self-producing it

I thought the special was pretty good. Maybe not pee-your-pants-hysterically funny, but definitely entertaining. I respect the fact that he couldn't get any networks to buy it so he produced it himself. I say, "Good for him.". Because of that, it was only filmed a couple months ago, which means the current events jokes are still relevant which is a nice change. I'll be interested to see what he comes up with next.

Maybe he shouldn't have had 6 martinis before the show started

I've never heard of him before, so gave it a look. He has some good ideas, but then fell away from them and circled back to this Latina wife - a lot.

Liked that he self produced this piece and then (Obviously) sold it to Netflix.

I would like to see him perform sober! Also, they kept showing one guy in the audience who had spikes for teeth - which was very disconcerting!

I look forward to his next special.

Not for me

Stand up is totally subjective. I never heard of this guy so I gave him a shot. I didn't find him that funny. Again, to each his own on stand up. It just wasn't my kind of humor.

Chris is a fantastic comedian but this wasn't his best

Chris is an excellent, hilarious stand-up......He is a master on any panel and his podcasts are absolutely fantastic......He along with Sal Vulcano, Mark Normand, Sam Morril, Gillis, List, And a few others are a group of young mid 30's coming up, really doing their thing......Size 38 waist was better but Chris is polished and is def one of the heads of the pack in the new generation of stand ups.....This is definitely worth watching and it will certainly make you LOL......Can't wait for his next special......Although unless Netflix gave Chris a boatload, He probably woulda been better off releasing on youtube.....The Super chats alone would of netted em huge $$

Meh....

He said a few things that were funny but I guess I just wasn't feeling it. Not sure if it was the round about way he got to the punch lines, the topics or the physical delivery but it just didn't quite work. Comedy is different for everyone though. So, taking that into consideration along with the belief that everyone should laugh more I say go for it. It's not a long performance. If it's not for you, turn it off but if it works, you'll be glad you watched it. :)

Love this guy

As a fan seeing chris journey to Netflix made me really happy. I've heard most of it on his pod cast but when it's in stand up form it was still funny as hell. If I didn't know chris at all and only knew him based on Netflix I'd become a fan for sure. Keep getting better and keep winning chrissy.

Love the podcasts but he's awful as a stand up

He really isn't good.

Stand up is weak, obvious and he's so awkward on stage. Jokes are mildly amusing.

How he has a career as a stand up is beyond me.

It was okay

I didn't hate nor liked most of the act. There were some funny moments, but not laugh-out-loud ones.

Him questioning his sexuality didn't seem to go anywhere, and I felt like he was going to say something more right after, but then he went on about his dad's "gaydar," which he repeated a couple of times, by which point the joke got tired.

The doctor in the audience also seemed planted and staged. I didn't believe for a second that it was improvised. He waited for the whole audience to reply (without clapping) that there was no doctor, then AFTER he made a joke about it, all of a sudden he found one in the first row sitting right in front of him, who also happened to be of an Indian descent.

It made me kind of cringe at the end.

Ignore The Bad Review

Not surprising that a reviewer that refers to Netflix as 'Neggflixx' doesn't seem to get it. If you know Distefano, then you know how funny he can be. Especially if you've heard his bit about his Dad in his last special. Now he adds a lot of funny stuff about being married to a Latina woman - and not the usual material you hear on that topic.

And if you don't know Distefano, check it out. It's short but packed full of laughs. I mean, not anything as funny as calling something 'Neggflixx' but that kind of comedy is from the REAL professionals.

Who thought this was a good idea?

If you were ever longing for a chance to watch an open mic night at a Hooters in Iowa on a Wednesday afternoon, this Netflix special is for you. Just wildly unfunny and unoriginal. Not sure why Netflix would decide this guy deserved a second of their airtime.

Example That Likability Matters

Not his best work, maybe because it's been chopped in order to be placed both on Netflix and YouTube, but you're still excited for him. Chris has a lot of heavy-hit jokes and can really rock a room, this special just didn't showcase it as much. Prime example that a comedian's likability matters, because I wasn't even upset at the result. Just excited to see him get better and better cause he's a great guy and naturally funny.

Love you Chrissy

Overall a good decent special, obviously comedy is always gonna be subjective. The people commenting below referring to bapa have more of an issue with the comedians he surrounds himself with. Chris has great story telling had me laughing out loud. Definitely has great potential and will most likely only get better.

Love Chris

Felt like he was trying to duplicate his 9/11 set, I didn't think it was funny so I rewatched it before I review and ya not funny. Kinda Brendan Schaub Latin by proxy angle. No actual jokes more inflections and impressions.

I'd like to see more punchline jokes rather than stories but I'll watch everything Chris makes, literally got Netflix strictly for this special.

Chrissy being WILD

If you know Chrissy Chaos, then you need to watch the special. His humor is original and dark and you can't help but laugh non-stop at his ridiculous stories with that signature delivery. Watch it with someone that does not know Chris and witness them walking into true chaos.
