Too much emphasis on kindergarten being a big deal. This show doesn't ease worries. If anything it creates more worries about the first day. Not realistic at all. The dialogue is too grown up for a five year old. The songs are annoying and repetitive. There are better educational shows out there. This wasn't it. This show is definitely for an older age group. Dance sequences and the scenes for the songs seem too grown up. I don't know if this show was made and marketed towards younger kids but I don't think it should've been. There are better shows and movies out there that are more realistic and educational. Save this one for older kids.
I started watching this show when It premiered on Disney Plus. I For the god of me can't stand how dramatic Berti was in the first few episodes. But I still watched the show regularly. I watched more and they finally started making episodes starring the other classmates. So far my favorite characters to get episodes about them are Kat and Ellie, Two almost identical twins but they like different things and their differences make them stand out. I appreciate how clever the writing can be when it's focused on different characters. For Berti it's all like a big stage show where Berti is singing the song, For Rose it can be either way, etc etc. I like how different this show is compared to most school shows, we get to see what it looks like in 3D and 2D animation. 2D animation is such a rare to see and it seems to save them money for the 3D so it seems to work. Overall this show and it's community are very good. It reminds me of Alice's Wonderland Bakery alot in how the writing can peak if it wants to.
Kindergarten: The Musical is an absolutely delightful show. The show teaches kids that school can be a lot of fun as the characters sing and dance in elaborate Broadway-style musical numbers. The conflicts introduced in each episode are realistic kid concerns, such as the first day of school, a missing class pet, or what to do when you like something different from everyone else. One of the best aspects of this show is that it doesn't dumb things down or talk down at little kids. These days, too many shows for young children don't trust their audience to understand things on a deeper level, and kids understand a lot more than we give them credit for. In this show, the teacher and classmates all express empathy towards complex kid concerns, which gives children a template for interacting with their own friends about a variety of challenges. I've shown this TV show to several of my friends' kids aged 2-5, and they've all loved it. One little girl loved it so much, she asked her mom to make her the main character Berti's outfit! With so many kid approvals, I have to give this show 10/10.

We love Kindergarten Musical. It's a pleasant show, with nice characters, that focuses on music and problem solving skills, especially with peers. It's relatable for young kids in school as it can be reflective of their own class.
The music is sophisticated, but age appropriate for the target group; not at all dumbed down. It's catchy, energetic, and clever.
Overall, this is a pleasant show. It's a great introduction to musicals and telling stories through music. My children (3&4) really enjoy it and love to sing-a-long. It's a fun watch for the whole family. We hope there will be more seasons in the future.
