Synopsis

  • The main character of the film is a journalist Liza, who worked as a war reporter during the Abkhazian war. 25 years after the war, during an edition of the TV show hosted by Liza, a former Abkhaz fighter is calling from Sokhumi, Abkhazia, who saved Liza's life during the war. Liza has been sure that the Abkhazian man died when he was trying to save her life during the war.The call by the Abkhazian man and his words turns Liza's life upside down altogether, so that she gets into her car and starts her journey across the country to get to the other end of the Enguri Bridge, meet the Abkhazian man and tell him something very important. Throughout her journey, Liza keeps having an imaginary conversation with the Abkhazian man, telling him what she has learned about the war for the past 25 years; how she has started collecting records and diaries of those effected by the war and those who participated in the war from both - Abkhazian as well as Georgian sides of the war; how she managed to see the true face of the war. During her journey, Liza recalls the real diaries of real people of different ages and of all walks of life. We follow Liza as she proceeds her long journey across today's Georgia and meet different people - this is how the country looks today, explored "on the move", from the car racing along fast lanes of highways and roads. Liza sets off to meet the Abkhazian man who saved her life, though it remains unknown whether she meets him or not... The final episode of the film provides the answer to the question - Where is Lisa going?...
