It’s not often that you run across aspiring genre directors who are still in their teens so when we discovered a brand new Kickstarter campaign for Carver, an upcoming indie slasher from the filmmaking team of Ron Diprimio and his 13-year-old daughter Emily Diprimio, we immediately took notice.

In the campaign, the Diprimios’ describe Carver as, “a throwback 80’s style slasher that follows a group of teenagers who are haunted by a despicable act they committed on Halloween when they were younger.

Open Road, XLrator get Hendrix
John Ridley
Open Road Films has picked up its second title of Toronto after The Green Inferno, moving on North American rights with XLrator Media to John Ridley’s Jimi Hendrix tale All Is By My Side.

André Benjamin stars in the film, which charts a year in Hendrix’s life as he plies his trade in London. Hayley Atwell, Imogen Poots, and Ruth Negga. Content Media handles international sales.

Darko Entertainment’s Sean McKittrick, Jeff Culotta and Danny Bramson, Freeman Films’ Brandon Freeman and Anthony Burns, Subotica’s Tristen Orpen Lynch and Nigel Thomas of Matador Pictures produced.

Darko’s Edward H Hamm, Jr and Ridley served as executive producers. The distributors negotiated with CAA.

The Last Light: An Irish Ghost Story on DVD November 5th
This movie looks So Scary !

Eagle One Media is proud to announce it has acquired worldwide rights to the Yellow Fever Production film The Last Light: An Irish Ghost Story. Director George Clarke’s feature film shot on location in Northern Ireland at a real Ulster mansion that is reported to actually be haunted. The feature film will be release on DVD November 5th in North America, and on VOD and digital platforms, and rolled out globally in various territory markets.

The Last Light: An Irish Ghost Story won Robert Render the best actor award at the Freak Show Horror Film Festival. The film is a multiple film festival award winner that delivers and with glowing reviews:
