Mill workers used to be heart of Mumbai city till early 80s. The changing economy ,vested interests and ignorance of poor workers precipitated the end of this once thriving economy . ..following the historic mill strike. The film depicts the aftermath of the strike & the brutal pain & torture the families & future generation of mill workers went through .Crime ,immoral activities were the last recourse for the gullible youngsters ..after their families were economically devasted by the strike .The movie is based on a Marathi play & every scene of the movie takes you deep into melanchony journey of these folks ..
