There's bee some fuss about this film as if a new masterpiece has been made. Perhaps to some strange viewers who really dislike films when they are interesting, well done, well acted, well crafted, well filmed, well written, well directed, tell a story that touches and relates - perhaps they enjoy this film. For me it was like the director is making his last film that needs to show all he can and mostly what he can't do. Perhaps it was meant to be an experiment, but then I don't see why it needs to be tested on normal people, who want their films to mean something and give us something to think about.
8 views on something someting is a film that tries very hard to be profound but ends up feeling hollow. It's slow, overly self-important, and deliberately obscure, mistaking confusion for depth. Every scene seems to stretch endlessly without purpose, leaving the viewer emotionally untouched and mentally exhausted. The result is a joyless, impenetrable experience that may impress a handful of critics, but offers little to anyone looking for a story, a message, or even a reason to care. It's "8 views", but feels like 800 views which actually show nothing. A film for cinephiles who hate cinema. Sad.
