See Roseanne in a brand new light

I don't write reviews. This is my first ever. But after reading some of the negative reviews, I thought I needed to speak up. This is a GREAT program. Roseanne is trying to get closer to nature and has a new farm which she hopes can become self-sufficient. My family is doing the same thing, so I know how much applause Roseanne deserves for the effort.

Roseanne is still coarse at times and says what she thinks, but she is definitely REAL. That's what I love so much about her. I don't agree with some of her farming practices, but to each their own. Becoming self- sufficient in these times is what more people need to do. I'm so proud of the effort she's putting in. I hope for many more seasons for her.

She is still genuine and real

a lot of people give this woman grief... i always liked her. she shoots from the hip and doesn't try to be something shes not.

she isn't perfect, but who is? her show wasn't about saving lives. it was good down to earth fun and it succeeded. people turned on her like they turn on anyone who gets too famous.

we as a nation prop up then eat our celebs. maybe thats the price you pay in trade for the money and fame...

at the end of the day, rosanne is a woman living on her own terms, not trying to impress anyone and just being "real". i respect people like that whether they be famous or not. (there is a lot to be said for anonymity though lol ... i don't think i would ever want to be famous

rock on rosie. the show is real and fun to watch.

Good Fun

Fun show. One season, eight eisodes. Must have been intrusive to have cameras everywhere, even out camping. (I wonder if the nut farm still sells nuts in Hawaii?).

Hilarious! Delightfully up to date, Roseanne is someone who gets it and is just on time.

After stumbling upon her show on Lifetime a couple weeks ago my partner and I have found the show so funny and intriguing that we had to look for the past episodes. (I hope Lifetime repeats 1 and 2) So who are the nuts the people that get it, or the people that don't get it? Maybe they are just the macadamias. I would say it is refreshing to finally have someone on mainstream television (other than Ed Begley) who gets it.

Roseanne is on a mission. She has been living with her partner, her son, friends and hands on her 40 acre farm on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. She is growing macadamia nuts, vegetables of all kinds and raising animals. She is one of the many thousands today who are experimenting with sustainable responsible living the old fashioned way, the right way. Like many of us in these troubled times she is acutely aware of the problems facing us, particularly our ability to feed ourselves with good, non toxic, non genetically engineered, non-health-damaging wholesome food and to stop trashing the ecosystem which we survive upon.

She isn't just feeding herself. She is also giving away her surpluses to the people in her community. She knows in time we are going to require more and more community to thrive.

I never used to be a fan of Roseanne in the past (20 years ago) but now I am loving the person she has become: conscientious and striving to be better. She was always known to create a lot of controversy and despite religious fanatics I don't think there is anyone who can't be a little curious about what she is up to with her friends and family on her farm in Hawaii.

i love it!

i don't watch TV too often, but there's a few shows that I regularly watch and now this is one of them. for what its worth i love south park, and maybe this could go in to the same category... sorta. she's real, she's current, she's crude and i've even got teary eyed a couple times on her show.

i was too little to care about her show in the 80's (born in 81) but somehow i found myself drawn to this show!

the whole cast is great. the include some local islanders that are entertaining in their own ways.

i don't know what else to say, but i have to write 10 lines of text to submit my review, so whatever. is this 10?

Wow

I watched the first episode and decided to watch the second(it followed immediately) to see if it could get worse. As impossible as I thought it might be, it actually was worse. From horrible to uber-horrible. I don't get headaches often but this show gave me one.

Roseanne is a woman who loves to listen to herself be obnoxious and foul-mouthed while thinking what she has to say is relevant. Relevant to what, I'm not sure. There is no substance to this mess(the mess being her, the show, or both). She offers nothing that you can't find in any white trash neighborhood in the country after the residents return from a trip to the liquor store. She's worse because she does it sober.

The boyfriend(Johnny) strikes me as a lazy bum who got his meal ticket in exchange for calling her pet names like mommy, doll, sweety, etc... and, no doubt, doing unspeakably horrible things with her.

The beach bum/Kato Cailin wannabe is a dope that is nothing more than a young Johnny(the boyfriend) in training.

Looking out your window watching the grass grow is time better spent.
