Skeletons in the Closet is the latest film from director Asif Akbar. After sitting through several abysmal films he’s directed, most recently Clown Motel as well as an even larger pile of duds he was a producer on, I knew enough not to have high expectations. Even that wasn’t enough preparation for what I was about to endure.

Mark and Valentina are dealing with financial problems. Those problems are about to get a lot worse, as instead of the raise he was expecting, Mark gets a pink slip. As if that wasn’t enough bad news, their daughter Jenny’s has brain cancer and the doctors are willing to let her die unless Mark and Valentina can come...

The ensemble cast of Nickelodeon's Salute Your Shorts has taken a variety of different career paths since the show ended. Debuting in 1991, the teen sitcom followed a group of campers at Camp Anawanna and the different adventures they get up to and the relationships they have over the course of a summer. The main star of the series changed over the course of its two seasons, but for the most part, the characters stayed the same. Bullies, preppies, and every other '90s stereotype came together to prank, fight, make friends, and be kids in a way that wasn't always depicted on television.

For a vanity project written by its two hunky male leads, Christopher Livingston's gym-based comedy Dumbbells is surprisingly sweet at its core.

Granted, we're living in a post-Pain & Gain world, so any movie about gym culture made by people who aren't utter misanthropes is a breath of fresh air, but Dumbbells manages to be pleasant and largely inoffensive despite early indications that it might turn into a T&A-fest.

Former Focus Features exec Kent Sanderson has been named executive vp distribution and merchandising at GoDigital. GoDigital distributes film and music via digital platforms. Its last release was the music documentary Sample This while one of its next movies will be Dumbbells, a comedy starring Carl Reiner and Jay Mohr among others. Dumbbells also stars Taylor Cole, Brian Drolet, Mircea Monroe, Olivia Dudley and the models Fabio and Hoyt Richards.

Christopher Livingston directed the Full Blitz Entertainment story about a former star college athlete who must save his local gym. Drolet and Richards co-wrote the screenplay.

The Orchard in association with Mako Pictures and Fabrication Films will release the 2012 sci-fi film Paradox Alice in the Us, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on October 15 on digital platforms with DVD to follow.
