They already did this with Lisa Goes Gaga, and look how that turned out. Like seriously, why does Disney keep airing these shorts that only exist as advertisements. First the MCU, then they literally did a commercial for Disney+, and now Billie Eilish. It's boring, with extremely weak jokes, but luckily it's only 3 minutes. Don't waste your time on this.
This I just awful not about the celebrities part just that they made homer sound like a bad dad even tho he tries his best and even showed proof he cares about her daughter in older episodes.
I can't believe this short actually makes Lisa say that Homer had never been a fan of her passion nor cared about her music. If you can't remember (seeing as the writers haven't) Homer actually brought Lisa her instrument and in quite a few episodes he goes out of his way to try and help her with her musical talent. Sure, he may not understand it but does he support her? Absolutely. Does he care about her music? Yes, very much so. Lisa is one of the few people he will ignore his selfish desires for, especially when it comes to her passion of music (at least, until the new seasons decided that Homer did not need a character apart from "jerk").
Billie also sucks. Her music sucks, she sucks, and her voice acting sucks. Why is she even in the episode? Because these idiot writers can't help but drool over the prospect of ANOTHER celebrity bumping up their ratings.
It is not as bad as Lisa Goes Gaga, but close to.

Did Billie just say that the Danny Elfman original score of the Simpsons was garbage? Maybe I misinterpreted it. Look, all of these direct to Disney Plus shorts have been absolutely awful. They are single joke oddities with no Simpson flare and a feeling of corporate creepiness like co-branding anything that sticks. Please stop it and get back to quality like the Maggie's shorts in the daycare (but not the same thing rehashed... something new). These shorts have me worried about the Simpsons Sequel coming up. I hope they show more restraint than spiders coming out of someone's mouth as a joke.
Why did this need to exist? The only thing that I liked about this short was when Billie fired the big orchestra. That was it. This entire short feels dead and lacking of energy. They just play the Simpson theme song; they couldn't even think of an original song to play. It's just so pointless and boring it's clear that no one cared about it. It was just slop pushed out to further advertise Disney+ and Billie Eillish. Nothing against her, but it just seems like a shameless corporate attempt to get people to watch it. Also Lisa's line at the end about Homer sounds like she's just reading it off a sheet and there is no emotion or energy to anything in this short. The visual gags are weird and disturbing, the cuts around town are boring and uninspired, also, where is the music coming from? I know i'm nit picking a 3 minute short from 3 years ago but i'm just genuinely amazed at how bad this was. It leaves me thinking one singular question: Why?
