Interesting that the good reviews for this movie admit it is bad, expect for maybe one point that they like. For me these ratings are expected to be a summary of all the points of a movie, and sadly this movie doesn't hit any. I will credit where credit is due ... but I can't find any here.
It is true this has a lot of gore ... so? The acting is horrible, the script is even more so, the special affects are high schoolish at best, and the direction has quite a lot to be desired. This looks more like a high school movie-making project that was able to get published than a serious attempt at artists trying their hand at an independent movie.
The true gore of this movie is that it was actually published.

I love those movies that are so, SO very bad that they become good, in a twisted sort of way.
Unfortunately, this isn't one of them.
The only reason I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 is because of a few adequately gory special effects. But please, don't let that single almost-quality drive you to waste 90 minutes of your life.
Oh, and if you're expecting to catch some sexploitation-type nudity, well, let's just say there is a little bit of it, but the clothes should have stayed on.
I forgot to mention the acting: it's one of the few movies I ever saw that has absolutely none. The delivery of each line is as laborious as the lines themselves.
Sheesh...

Spaceship Terror isn't going to be a flick for everyone because you don't watch it for the acting or for the story, this one is out for the lovers of a low budget horror story.
Crashing onto a planet a spaceship with girls and one guy are out seeking for help. Coming across another spaceship called Terror they go into the ship to search for rescue and help. They should have better read the name again because the only thing they will find is indeed terror.
Of course the guy is killed quickly so the girls are on their own and it's so hot on board that they have to get rid of their spacesuits. So off we go the whole flick girls walking in their underwear. You get the point, this one is for the guys. But luckily this flick does deliver the horror in a way that it is just on the edge of becoming gory. The ship is full of traps (Saw anyone because the killer do has a voice in a kind like Jigsaw) and the killer is out there too trying to kill them in person.
Don't go for the acting but the girls do offer a lot of screaming and are splattered with the red stuff now and then. If you do like it rough then this is a flick for you, decapitation, mutilation, it's all there.
Maybe it's a bit too long for not saying that some scene's are a bit too long but still, it's above mediocre.
Gore 1,5/5 Nudity 1/5 Effects 3/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5

I had an absolute blast with this film, it does have some edges around the corners that could be fine tuned, but overall, I consider this film a diamond in the rough.
Story - Your usual slasher fare; a group of people enter a small space and get killed one by one, except its more like Friday the 13th and instead of a mindless juggernaut killing everyone off one by one, you've got one big sadistic and I mean sadistic and grotesque killer. Take a redneck and pump him full of alien steroids and make him look like he's been masturbating all day long and you got Captain Terror.
Characters - I was really surprised here. As cookie cutter as the story could have been, everything is just taken that one step further. The only character that really isn't fleshed out and has a personality is one guy besides the killer. All the women actually get into their characters pretty well, and they have some great dialogue between them all. I was expecting this to be more of just a T&A flick and I actually found myself rooting for these women, and every time one of them got killed, I just hated Captain Terror even more.
Gore- Sure is lots of it, I was very happy.
T&A Some and its not situational. Situation nudity is where you walk into a room and a woman is already naked. No this film definitely hit the spot for me in the T&A department where the nudity is part of the plot and the action. Just don't expect this to be a soft core porn just because the entire cast is women.
Last Remarks -
I personally can't wait to see Harry Tchinky's next movie Grimises Rising. He's definitely on my list of directors Im going to be following. Spaceship Terror is a movie I've been wanting a director to be ballsy enough to put out there in a long time.

Gory, gross shlock. For those who like grotesque, blood-splattered horror, this movie should be right up your alley. Some of it is stomach-churning stuff, but even in those moments it feels like the movie has its tongue in its cheek, hoping you will notice that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Feels like a throw-back to those grimy exploitation horror films that made you feel dirty after watching them. Horror fans should give this one a look.
