OKAY, BUT THEN EPISODE 10 HAPPENED

STORY. Everything was okay until Episode 10. This is when LI GONG suddenly broke up with SHOU. Nd what's the reason? He thought Shou was just being kind to him and couldn't say no. That was such a big turnoff. That forced conflict. So, although Episodes 11 and 12 were good, the damage has been done.

CAST / ACTING. SHOU (actor: MAX LIN) is more natural than LI GONG (actor: SHI CHENG HAO). LI GONG has many awkward moments and you see and feel that he's just acting. And to think, this is Max Lin's first role, not counting a 2020 series in which he had a guest role). The second couple both have awkwardness in their acting. This is YUKI's first acting job, so it's understandable. JIAN, on the other hand, has had main and support roles before. The supporting cast are all good except for Ling-Ling. I don't know, her acting is too wooden for me.

For me, MAX LIN carried the series. His bubbly, endearing personality was the saving grace of this drama. LI GONG's personality, in contrast, is somber and a little dark, so he sufferer in comparison to Max's character, Shou.

TECHNICALS. Cinematography was above average, especially the first scenes (flashback). Very impressive. Though the "magic" seemed to fade towards the end. Music is also very good, especially the opening and closing songs.

8 / 10.

Plot is simple but turned out to be a fine one.

The story is too simple. Unlike other dramas, this one does not have villains. The story is all about two main characters and another couple fall in love, but maybe the director managed it not to seem boring. So, even if it's plot is very simple and it does not have many contents, it's not bored too watch. Hence, it is pretty good.

Its preety good actually.

It is good then other series out there. Concept is simple.

Cast is good. Their acting is good.

Good for one time watch.

Storyline could have been better at depthness.

Overall, you wont feel like you are wasting your time.

Smiling is good for health

A refreshing plot revolving around a couple of men working for a law firm. They have an exceedingly cute rapport and a sense of 'being in their own world'. I happened to recently learn that they are actually seeing each other. "gong shi ni men".

If you like watching friends-turning-lovers concepts, then please do watch it at convenience. Not too long, not boring in script, not toxic in portraying a relationship, not a stereotype rich falling for poor, not a blood-puking and tear jerking heavy melo-laced drama. The other couple in the drama seem to be utterly under nourished. Even though they might have tried to act to their capability, I could not sync. I love the comedic bit by 'YuZhen-ShiLei' CP. Thanks and kudos to Chen laoshi.
