Writer/director Stevan Mena made his feature debut with the 2003 film Malevolence. After making Brutal Massacre: A Comedy in 2007, Mena gave us a Malevolence prequel called Bereavement in 2010. In 2016, the third chapter in the series, Malevolence 3: Killer, had to be cancelled in the midst of production due to the death of lead actor Scott Decker. Over the next two years, Mena has found a way to complete the film, and it made its way out into the world in 2018. Now, our friends at Bloody Disgusting report that Mena’s fifth feature film, The Ruse, will be available for rental and purchase on VOD beginning Tuesday, August 14. You can watch the trailer in the embed above.
Described as a chilling whodunnit that keeps audiences on edge until the final frame, The Ruse follows Dale, a home health care worker sent to a remote seaside home after her predecessor mysteriously vanishes.

This Rumpelstiltskin will be premiering at FrightFest Glasgow this weekend, heading for a VOD release in the United States on April 8th.
Miracle Media told our friends at Bloody Disgusting, “The film breathes new life into the age-old children’s story, with eye-popping, gnarly special effects and a potty mouthed female protagonist who isn’t your typical damsel in distress. With bawdy humour and devilishly delightful visuals, this new incarnation certainly packs a punch and is sure to permeate your dreams with nightmare fuel.“

If any gamers want to immerse themselves in the Warhammer 40k universe and experience the power of an elite force defending humanity, Space Marine 2 is the way to go. Released on September 9th, the game has captivated audiences with its engaging gameplay, which only gets better with the inclusion of the various Chapters.

But what if the experience could go even further? To achieve that, Saber should introduce a Dlc that is entirely about the new Space Marine Chapter, one so feared and misunderstood that even the Imperium itself is somewhat wary of them: The Carcharodons. Known as the Space Sharks, they could add another layer to the game, presenting players with a much darker and more ruthless experience.

As Henry Cavill gears up to bring the grim darkness of the far future to our screens, it’s no wonder that Warhammer 40K fans can’t help but speculate about which characters might make the cut. While the Emperor’s finest are sure to feature prominently, there’s one name that should be on every fan’s wish list: Tyberos, The Red Wake.

For those unfamiliar with the lore, Tyberos is the Chapter Master of the Carcharodons Astra, a mysterious and brutal Space Marine chapter known for their vicious tactics and shark-like iconography. But what sets Tyberos apart from his battle brothers is his sheer size and the terrifying weapons he wields.

One of the stranger subgenres of horror films to emerge recently is that involving sharks from outer space. Space Sharks is the latest addition, following Iron Sky and its sequel, Sky Sharks and Shark Side of the Moon, among others. Of none of them are nearly as good as the original The Outer Limits episode The Invisible Enemy, but that’s a whole different bucket of chum.
What concerns us now is the commercial spacecraft, The Clairvoyant, returning to Earth with a cargo of alien sea creatures and plant life. That includes what looks like a couple of small sharks with legs and feet. They have visions of generous research grants dancing in the heads of their scientific team. That consists of Dr. Johnson, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Hansen played by...

"Local experts believe it to be the work of a rogue shark." Wild Eye Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for another trashy B-movie shark horror comedy coming up this year - this one is called Apex Predators 2: The Spawning. Yes indeed, it's another direct-to-video sequel to the original direct-to-video bad spoof movie Apex Predators (from 2021). In this one, mutated flying Sharks wreak havoc along the beach during an annual volleyball tournament. Vernon Wells encounters horror from the heavens in the highly anticipated sequel to Apex Predators. Also starring Christopher Showerman, Brinke Stevens, Mel Novak, Dawna Lee Heising, and Jennifer Nangle. Ferguson's Apex Predators 2 is the "feverishly fun new horror film from the makers of Mega Ape and Space Sharks!" And it looks just as terrible as those ones, of course. You might just believe sharks really can fly after watching this movie.

No matter how many times anyone boasts that sharks are the perfect apex predator, just the way they are, as nature intended, there is always someone else who says, 'Hold my beer'. Or, in the case of Dustin Ferguson's Space Sharks, someone said, "Gimme back my beer, and while you're at it, give me six more. I have a movie to write.' *burp* Space Sharks is available now on all digital platforms including Amazon, Fandango At Home and Microsoft Moies. We know there is an audience for these bare bones indie flicks, folks looking for something that doesn't take itself too seriously. Something goofy and fun. Well, here's your next fix. Wild Eye Releasing sent out the trailer and a handful of images....
