Frigga's alternate death in a deleted scene of Thor: The Dark World would've complicated Hela's introduction in Thor: Ragnarok. Odin's decision for pacifism over his wife's safety would've altered Thor and Loki's relationship with their father and affected Hela's story. The decision to keep the alternate death scene out of The Dark World was ultimately best for the Thor franchise, simplifying consequences and making Hela a more effective villain.
A deleted scene from Thor: The Dark World almost altered the trajectory of the MCU series. The Dark World notably features the death of Frigga - Queen of Asgard and Thor and Lokis mother - in the MCU timeline. After Thor brought Jane to Asgard to protect her from the powers of the Aether inside of her, Frigga defended her against the Dark Elves. However, Frigga died protecting Jane as neither Thor nor Odin could get to them in time.

The costumes of Thor villains in the MCU are striking due to the otherworldly nature of Thor's mythos in the Nine Realms. The costume designers of the MCU have taken creative liberties when designing the looks for Thor's rogues' gallery, resulting in varying degrees of success. Some of the most memorable villain costumes include Hela's hellish headdress, Kurse's terrifying ensemble, and the flamboyant outfit of the Grandmaster.
The costumes of Thor villains in the MCU rank among the most striking owing to the fact that Thor's mythos in the MCU surrounds the otherworldly Nine Realms. The costume designers of the MCU have their work cut out at the best of times, thanks to comic book heroes' penchant for extravagant designs. Avengers: Secret Wars could provide an opportunity for Marvel Studios to rectify past mistakes and improve the weaker aspects of the MCU franchise. A soft reboot after Secret Wars could bring back neglected characters like Malekith, Black Widow, and Quicksilver, allowing for deeper exploration of their stories. A reboot of the MCU would enable Marvel Studios to be more experimental and take risks with new and unique projects, deviating from the traditional "Marvel Formula."
Marvel Studios has the opportunity to rectify several mistakes from the McU's history if Avengers: Secret Wars soft-reboots the franchise. Since the dawn of the MCU with 2008's Iron Man, Marvel Studios has produced the most expansive and successful superhero franchise in history, delivering over forty projects (and counting) across a variety of media. Marvel Studios has made many brilliant decisions with the MCU, from perfect casting choices, to exhilarating action sequences, and the production of complex storylines and realistic heroes.

Despite being one of the deadliest warriors in the Marvel Universe, the Punisher has no superpowers and relies solely on his military training and inherent proficiency in killing. Sure, there were moments when the Punisher would be given supernatural or otherwise superhuman abilities–like when he was given angelic powers or that time Punisher literally became a Frankenstein–those moments were few and far between. Magic: The Gathering’s new Dungeons & Dragons crossover set, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, is finally in the wild. Afr promised to be a crossover with Mtg in more than just name, but they’re two wildly different games. How could you capture the feel of a D&d campaign in a card game? The answer seems to be in the flavor: it’s not just how you play a game of Magic with Afr cards that captures D&d; it’s in how well the new set captures the vibe of a campaign with art, card names, and the variability it’s introduced to each hand of Magic: The Gathering.

The release of Magic: The Gathering’s next set, Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, is the first brand crossover for Magic. Unlike Mythic Odysseys of Theros and The Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms marks the first time D&d is coming to the gameplay world of Magic: The Gathering.
This crossover was bound to happen! Magic and Dungeons & Dragons share many of the same characteristics. Both let you play the way you want and be creative, and have lore that reflects fantasy stories from all the over the world and dragons, lots of dragons.
So with Adventures in the Forgotten Realms coming to Magic: The Gathering soon, what D&d elements will we see make the leap to a collectible card game? And what Magic elements will incorporate D&d lore? Let’s take a look.

It's been 27 years since John Travola and Bruce Willis starred in Pulp Fiction, and it was the last time the pair appeared together in a movie. Now it seems they are about to share screen time together for the first time in almost three decades in the action movie Paradise City, which kicks off production this week in Hawaii.
In the Chuck Russell directed movie, Willis plays Ryan Swan, a bounty hunter making his way through the roughest streets in a hail of bullets on the trail of a kingpin of the Hawaiian crime world, played by John Travolta. Sources have pitched the movie as Miami Vice with added bounty hunter and less buddy cops. Starring alongside the action heroes is Thai actress and model Praya Lundberg.

Magic: The Gathering has started rolling out a new set, and along with new cards and mechanics coming in Zendikar Rising, they also laid out their plans for 2021. In those plans: an official in-game crossover with Dungeons and Dragons.
Magic’s story bounces across multiple “planes” – worlds of the multiverse with different themes, stories, characters and in-game mechanics. The four releases scheduled for 2021 are winter’s Kaldheim, a viking themed set; spring’s Strixhaven, a set built around an elite multiversal university; Adventures in the Forgotten Realms coming out in the Summer; and a dual set focusing on the werewolves and vampires of Innistrad in fall of 2021.
Additionally, details on Zendikar Rising started to hit. The set, which releases on September 17th, returns to the wild plane full of shifting and living lands, and as such, it brings some familiar game mechanics back around that idea.

“Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” director Joe Johnston is in negotiations to helm Disney’s upcoming reboot of the film franchise, “Shrunk,” with Josh Gad in talks to star.
Gad pitched the story idea to Disney earlier this year, and the studio jumped on board the idea of reviving the classic 1989 pic starring Rick Moranis. “Shrunk” will mark the third sequel following the original film, with “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid” and direct-to-video “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves” bowing in 1992 and 1997, respectively. Johnston was not involved with either film.
The studio met with other directors but felt bringing Johnston back was a perfect fit for all involved. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing through their Mandeville Films and Television banner, with Todd Rosenberg penning the script.
In the original film, Moranis plays Wayne Szalinski, a scientist and father who accidentally shrinks his teenage son and daughter, along with the two brothers from next door,...

In the past couple years, Warner Bros has caved to the Marvel trend and begun including bonus scenes during and after the credits of a lot of its movies based on DC Comics. These things tend to exist to tease future movies in a franchise, and that’s exactly what DC is doing with them as Geoff Johns and co. try to rebuild the DC Extended Universe after the “Justice League” disaster. And the latest film in that filmic universe, “Shazam,” definitely has an eye toward the future of the Dceu.
That said, the mid-credits teaser on “Shazam” can be quite a head-scratcher if you don’t know what’s going on, because it gets a little bit obscure with the character it brings out for this extra scene. So let’s take a look at what exactly that bonus scene means.

International box office ticked up 1% over 2017 to a record $29.8 billion, helping to drive worldwide moviegoing up 2.7% to a new high-water mark of $41.7 billion. Most of the global increase came from North America, which surged 7% to $11.9 billion. “Avengers: Infinity War” became the seventh film to gross more than $1 billion internationally, with $1.37 billion. In all, 40 foreign titles hit the top 100 (23 of them from China), led by “Operation Red Sea” with more than $611 million — good enough for the sixth spot on the year’s international chart.

The domestic box office hit $11.9 billion in 2018, up 6.7% over the previous year, and smashing the record $11.38 billion set in 2016. The top three earners — “Black Panther,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Incredibles 2” — all bested 2017’s B.O. champ, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” ($517 million). Promisingly, in an era of increased entertainment options, more people went to the movies in 2018: Attendance is expected to rise more than 4% over the prior year. Disney took 26% of this year’s market share, outpacing Warner Bros., its closest rival, by more than $1 billion.

By every measure, 2018 was an extraordinary year for movies. Every so often, there's an off year, and pundits begin to claim that audiences are losing their interest in the theatrical experience. Then something like 2018 comes along, delivering hit after hit after hit, and suddenly those same pundits are proven wrong. The biggest blockbuster of the year was Black Panther, which grossed $700 million domestically, according to Box Office Mojo. The lowest-grossing was a supernatural thriller called Realms, which made $147. You're reading that number correctly.
