I had a great fun watching it!

Funny, clever comedy, ideal for a relaxing night in. I had lots of fun watching it, "Santa" was great, loved his dialogue with little boy :)

Hand in hand with Hollywood but with great additional value

Don't turn around from this movie just because it is made in Poland with Slovenian director, just watch it! Emotionaly deep without any to-long dialogs. Characters are amazing, and they will rock your Christmas right to the core of it's meaning.

The scenery is brilliant and goes well together with the Christmas spirit and the evolution of characters.

There was just one last scene, which in my opinion, wasn't necessary, but altogether - simply marvelous!

I hope that every viewer will appreciate this movie being played for him/her.

    A beautiful European Christmas movie

Listy do M. Is the Polish equivalent of Love Actually, only a little more touching, sad and natural.

The characters and their individual stories are varied, though some are underdeveloped. Two lonely people who fall in love; a son who finds the courage to introduce his partner to his family; an irresponsible womanizer who, thanks to a little rascal, realizes his duties as a father and partner; a childless couple who adopt an orphan (probably my favorite story, especially thanks to the chemistry between W. Malajkat and J. Wróblewska); a dysfunctional family that grows together in the end.

Everything is wrapped up with sweet humour, clichés and other tropes typical to Christmas movies. And I, as a central-European, also felt closer to the film's setting and style which differs from how Christmas movies are done in the Western cinematography.

Listy do M. Is very nice and Poles can be proud of themselves.

    Love Actually goes East-European

Ever since the British succeeded in making a recent but so memorable holiday movie as the already-classic Love Actually, Hollywood is trying to make their own version of this kind of romantic comedy with a fusion of life stories that come together during some special day (from the top of my head "Valentine's day" and "New Year's eve"). However, they all appear typical - a bunch of famous names and forced stories, just into making profit and not caring about the message much.

But now, the European cinematography strikes again, with the beautiful movie "Listy do M.". The biggest advantage of this movie is its credibility. Of course, it does have some twists that probably wouldn't happen in real life (but okay, it's the magical Christmas time) but the unknown actors and the language that it's not English (which we're used to hear all the time in the cinema) make you believe that these stories also happen to normal people and not just in movies - while obtaining top quality in the technical part of filmmaking.

Also, before seeing it I was afraid the stories would be the same old ones. I like how the creators thought outside the box and had some interesting twists. So all in all - fantastic work and I'm hoping to see more work from this director!

    children. their adults

Indeed, romance is present in this honest, amusing, ironic and smart crafted Polish film. But it is not the main ingredient and, in some measure, it is not the precious spice.

Ordinary people in Warsaw and their life in Christmas Eve. Touch of East - Central Europe gives, for me, the round seduction force. But the basic virtue is the conflict - game between adults and children , in different ipostasis, the kids being, always, not so surprising, the winners.

Charming for truths revealed in simple - precise manner, easy to define it as delightful. But its virtue is the kick to reflection. And this makes it more than a good version of a Love Actually.
