"Peaky Blinders" single-handedly resurrected the newsboy cap as a menswear item. It also delivered a long, uncensored look at the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder in men who had served in some of the most unforgiving conditions of World War I, and lived during an era where people were mostly expected to walk off things like mental health issues. Oh, and it was a very good period gangster drama that wasn't afraid to go to some truly uncompromising places and had an absolutely stellar cast at its disposal.
To this day, the show's stellar theme song ("Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds) evokes images of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) riding through the dirty streets of Birmingham in 1919, and the terrors that followed him like a dark cloud -- or, as he personally thought, a curse -- wherever he went. The third season of Reacher recently arrived on Prime Video, and once again trouble has found the show’s titular character. This season follows Reacher as he infiltrates the nefarious rug business of a man named Zachary Beck. Acting undercover as a man on the run, Reacher is tasked with locating a missing DEA informant while he works to uncover how his old foe Quinn is mixed up with Beck’s business.
As is the case with every season of Reacher, its cast of characters always changes. While a few characters have made various appearances here and there throughout the series, the show’s core characters each season are always different. Given Reacher prefers to travel from city to city with nothing but a toothbrush in his pocket, he always encounters a brand-new set of allies and enemies. Below is the cast of Season 3 and where viewers have seen them before.

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from Pretty Little Liars: Summer School episodes 1 through 8.
"Pretty Little Liars: Summer School" offers a bright summer slasher vibe with familiar characters and a new villain. Returning characters face new challenges as they navigate summer school and encounter the mysterious "Bloody Rose." The Max show's soundtrack includes popular songs like "School's Out" by Alice Cooper and "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama.
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is a stark contrast to Original Sin, with brighter tones, sunny vibes, and, of course, several pop hits that are perfect for summer break. The slasher and horror elements are still present (proven by the haunting instrumental additions to the show's score) as the five teenagers recover from their experience with "A," aka Archie Waters, and try to move on. However, a new villain named "Bloody Rose" throws a wrench into the characters' plans in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Orlando Bloom is opening up about falling in love with Katy Perry and why he “wouldn’t change it for anything.”
The actor recently appeared on the What Now? With Trevor Noah podcast, where he shared details about their relationship after host Trevor Noah pointed out their attempt at a life of “peace” and “normalcy,” despite being in the spotlight.
“I think one of the things that I fell in love with Katy was … she hates when I say this, so I have to word it carefully, but her music was everywhere, right?” the Lord of the Rings star said in response. “When I came up, it was just on every radio station, but I wasn’t conscious of … [it] wasn’t what I was listening to, but, I fell in love with Katheryn, this girl from Santa Barbara.”

Plot: Cash is trying to live an honest and quiet life, but when Big Cat forces him back into her services, he proves capable of anything to protect the town and the only family he has left.
Review: After 2020’s Fatman, I’ve been patiently waiting to see what the Nelms Brothers would get up to with their next venture. Their more low-budget approach to action has a lot of potential, especially with the right lead. And while they don’t have Mel Gibson, they do have Orlando Bloom re-entering the action genre. But this isn’t some bombastic, new take on blockbusters. Red Right Hand is similar to the action fare you’d find in the bargain bin at Walmart. The action itself is very staged and low impact. And the story fails to surprise, following down the same expected path that these movies often take. But there are some moments that stand out.

You’ve never seen Orlando Bloom like this before. In Red Right Hand, theThe Lord of the Rings, and Carnival Row star plays Cash, a gruff, gritty, and internalized alpha male trying to stay out of trouble. Fate won’t have it. Despite Cash’s efforts to live a quiet life while caring for his recently widowed brother-in-law and niece, he is forced back into the services of kill-happy kingpin, Big Cat (Andie MacDowell).
If you love moody action films boasting elaborately choreographed shootouts and a breathtaking climactic ending, then Red Right Hand, directed by Ian and Eshom Nelms, is your next go-to. But if you’ve seen the film’s poster, one immediate question comes to mind: Are those really Orlando Bloom’s thick veins busting out of his bulky biceps and forearms? No photoshopping here, folks. “They are [his],” laughed Eshom Nelms.

Red Right Hand is a character-driven modern Western, differing from typical action thrillers, centered on redemption and family. Orlando Bloom shines as conflicted Cash, balancing stoicism with desperation, navigating morality, and survival. The film's strong narrative is undercut by conventional execution, missing the mark on thematic depth and a satisfying ending.
Red Right Hand follows a familiar trajectory and fits neatly into the growing modern Western sub-genre currently led by the likes of Yellowstone. Although classified as an action thriller, these elements are pretty tame despite graphic violence and bloodshed. The film follows a more character-driven story, with our lead, Cash (Orlando Bloom), grappling with his past as he is resolved to live a peaceful life with his brother-in-law and niece.

Violence is unavoidable for Orlando Bloom in the upcoming action thriller Red Right Hand. The latest from Fatman helmers Ian and Eshom Nelms puts the Gran Turismo star in the shoes of a man who's drawn back into the orbit of a known criminal kingpin and forced to do her bidding to protect his family. Unsurprisingly, working with such a crooked figure means making some crooked deals and getting your hands dirty when things go south. Collider can share an exclusive clip from the upcoming film showing Bloom caught in that exact scenario and forced to start shooting when the jig is up.

"Take him out! Make a show of it." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a crime action thriller film titled Red Right Hand, which is not connected with the video game series Red Dead Redemption. The film is now set to open soon in late February, without any festival premieres or any other appearances before. Orlando Bloom stars as Cash, who is trying to live an honest and quiet life, but when the small town crime kingpin "Big Cat" forces him back into her services, he proves capable of anything to protect the town and the only family he has left. Andie MacDowell co-stars as the big boss "Big Cat", which seems like some intriguing casting. Also with Garret Dillahunt, Brian Geraghty, James Lafferty, Jeremy Ratchford, Nicholas Logan, Scott Haze, and Alexandra Park. This looks like another standard gritty Appalachia crime thriller, with plenty of shoot outs and arguments and backcountry rendezvous and more.

Cillian Murphy finds it "bizarre" but "wonderful" that people are having Peaky Blinders weddings and tattoos – an impact the show has had on pop culture. The Peaky Blinders theme, "Red Right Hand," in Ted Lasso season 3 adds to the show's charm, contrasting the genial atmosphere with an ominous vibe. Ted Lasso's use of the Peaky Blinders theme stands out as the show doesn't heavily rely on needle drops, making it a smart and appreciated choice by viewers.
Actor Cillian Murphy reacts to the Peaky Blinders homage in Ted Lasso season 3. The crime drama, which is loosely based on the real gang of the same name, has had an impact on pop culture in a variety of ways. The series has become its own franchise, with talks of a Peaky Blinders movie and even a video game adaption. It's also extended outwards, with certain estimates citing an increase in naming newborns after characters from the show.

With works like The Walking Dead and Invincible to his name, Robert Kirkman is one of the most successful comic book creators of all time. Recently, the superstar writer revealed that both works have an unofficial soundtrack via the music he listened to while writing them.
Kirkman mentions his musical inspirations in the letters page to The Walking Dead Deluxe #61, the ongoing series that 'remasters' the original black-and-white comics in full color, courtesy of Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, and Dave McCaig. In a response to a fan letter asking about music, Kirkman lets slip what he was listening to when writing The Walking Dead: “It might be interesting to know that for the 16 years I wrote the series I listened to a lot of The Dirty Three and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.” Kirkman goes to on describe how he “used to write with music playing all the time…...

"Dewey's Theme" from Scream 2 is one of the most iconic musical motifs in the Scream franchise, but it was actually lifted from a 1990s action movie. The Scream sequels repeat a number of musical themes and tracks, most notably Nick Cave's "Red Right Hand," which was first used in Wes Craven's original film. "Dewey's Theme" has also been a mainstay since first featuring in Scream 2, and can most recently be heard in Scream 6 when Courtney Cox's Gale Weathers reflects on Dewey's death from Scream 2022.
The first four Scream films were all composed by Marco Beltrami, with Brian Tyler stepping in as his replacement for the 2022 Scream requel and Scream 6. Beltrami was instrumental in establishing the tone and vibe of Craven's films, which are inextricably connected to the late 1990s and early 2000s zeitgeist. It’s common knowledge that the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds song “Red Right Hand” is the hit most associated with the Scream franchise. Still, there was another single that almost made its way into scary movie canon with the release of Scream 2 (1997).
Rather than an unnerving anthem for the villain, this song would have represented the complicated triumph of the hero. As it stands, Scream 2 concludes with Sidney standing tall and walking away from the terrors that had been deployed to exploit and destroy her. She’s accompanied by the song “She Said” by Collective Soul, a beautifully reflective rumination on a life filled with loneliness and regret, one in which truth, purpose and forgiveness is emotively sought.
But, as well as the song fits, it was not the first creative choice for the sequel’s concluding sequence. When Bloody Disgusting recently spoke with Grammy and Peabody...

Red Right Hand: An Oral History – How the Nick Cave Song Became the Anthem of the ‘Scream’ Franchise
In October of 1994, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds unleashed their eighth studio album Let Love In. Three singles were released in conjunction with the certified silver UK collection leading up to its formal launch. And while “Do You Love Me?” and “Loverman” set the stage for the prolific album and its harmonic tenor, it was the third single that would go on to cross the boundaries of its art form and firmly implant itself in the hallowed halls of horror history.
Scream (1996) slashed its way to genre hungry audiences several years after “Red Right Hand” hit the shelves in music stores. Although the song was written independently of the film, it’s difficult to imagine one without the other. From the second it begins, “Red Right Hand” ushers forth a domineering force, guided by the bloody governing appendage of a madman that perfectly encapsulates the film’s ever encroaching threat.

Warning! This article contains Spoilers for Scream 6!Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ 1994 song “Red Right Hand” is a staple of the Scream movies, as it’s played a total of nine times throughout all but one of the franchise’s installments. Alongside Peaky Blinders’ usage of the tune as its theme song, the Scream franchise has one of the most notorious inclusions of “Red Right Hand” in pop culture. The song, which was released two years before the original 1996 Scream movie, is particularly fitting for the franchise with its title, as the knife-wielding Ghostface killers always emerge with bloody red right (and left) hands.
“Red Right Hand” has become the unofficial theme song of Scream, playing in every movie except for 2011’s Scream 4. The usage of the song within Scream movies also cleverly intertwines with the franchise’s meta nature, particularly in Scream 2 and Scream 6. Not...

Scream rewired the horror audience in 1996, exploring anew the connective tissue that bridged the history of the genre with its future patrons and purveyors. The resulting franchise encompassed a host of familiar tropes of both the slasher and “whodunit” variety, comprising ringing phones accompanied by mysterious callers, self-aware and snarky young adults and rules to survive by that, perhaps by design, often don’t hold all that true in the end.
But just as important as any recurring narrative beat or cameoing survivor is a song. While it only plays for what amounts to a handful of minutes over the course of five films, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ “Red Right Hand” is as instrumental to the atmosphere of the Scream franchise as the looming threat of those who hide behind the trademark white mask caught in its silent howl.
First coined by 17th century poet John Milton in his 1667 epic Paradise Lost,...

Unlike Jason Voorhees, it appears that when Ghostface takes Manhattan, he makes quite the night of it! That is certainly the implication from the first wave of social media reactions to Scream 6 from critics and film journalists who saw the movie this week.
As a rapid follow up to last year’s Scream legacy sequel (aka Scream 5), the sixth chapter in the franchise has had a large groundswell of anticipation going for it in recent months. The viral success of the hype is likely due to a few factors, not least of which is that the directing/producing team of Radio Silence’s last stab at the Scream franchise was so well received. Andie MacDowell revealed to Marie Claire that she suffered a panic attack on a set in 2016 after noticing the production was populated entirely by male cast and crew. The actor was the only woman on set at the time. MacDowell said the panic attack occurred shortly after Donald Trump got elected president, which didn’t help her emotional state on set.
“I had this kind of crazy experience, right after Trump got elected,” MacDowell said. “I was really disturbed that nobody seemed to care about the vagina[-grabbing] comment; I had gotten really sad. I went to do a job, a day’s work, and I had my very first panic attack. I was getting ready to shoot something, and I turn around and it’s, like, a roomful of men. Like, a sea of men. It flashed on something that was personal for me. And I dropped to my knees.

When the Kentucky legislature made the commonwealth’s 30-35 film and TV tax credit nonrefundable in 2018, it cast a pall over the careers of local industry pros including Louisville native Emily Blevins, who had racked up credits as a production manager or producer on a dozen Lifetime movies shot in the Bluegrass state.
Although 428 million in credits had been approved under the old version of the incentive, which paid cash to productions for any credits they earned that were not eaten up by their tax bill, there was no guarantee the projects that had applied for the credits would actually shoot in Kentucky. And once those approved projects were completed, the jobs would be gone, because Kentucky would no longer be able to compete against production hotbeds with stronger incentives such as Georgia, its neighbor to the south.
“We were going to have to move or change our careers,” says Blevins.
