Gabriel's Rapture: Part Two

Just the right amount of spice and heat (slow burn) in this screen adaptation based on the phenominal writing of Sylvain Reynard. Coupled with Passionflix's Tosca Musk (director) and Mary Pocrinc (screenwriter), Melanie Zarreti and Giulio Berruti bring the wonderful intellectual, spiritual and romantic journey of Gabriel and Julia (Julianne) to life.

Through discovery, courtship, heartbreak and tears galore, the actors hit all the right emotions as they take you with them.

I high recommend that you read the books as well as see the movies. Kudos to Tosca, actors and crew.

When will this post?

Gabriel's Rapture part 1 made us travel on a small cloud. But Gabriel's Rapture part 2 brings us back down to earth little by little and leads us to the depths of Hell. Certain sentences struck me on the spot. Some scenes upset me. Gabriel's Inferno part 3 is my favorite movie but this one is putting me on the same level in my opinion. The actors who were already doing a huge job, have taken a new step and they have nothing more to prove. Just like Tosca Musk and once again, she tackles themes rarely mentioned (scene in a "swimming pool"). Since the beginning of the saga, she dares. It's done with so much intelligence and respect, that everything she does, works. Moreover, each music used plays an essential role (scene where Julia collapses, the last minutes of the film). There's such intensity, it's unbelievable. I think it's a real tour de force and a rollercoaster of emotion. Above all, keep it up. Well done. Long live the sequel.

Absolute perfection. Its everything we want and need. I can't stop watching it. Passionflix have done it again. Giulio and Melanie are Gabriel and Julia forever. Tosca is an absolute legend.

This story is killing me, and I need all of the series movies now! Hahahha!

I'm an avid romance lover, and occasionally enjoy a good, darker, "I know it's going to torture me but make it a happy ending please!" story, but I'd never read this series. Then one day, YouTube threw a Gabriel/Julia fan reel at me and peaked my interest enough to ask "who the heck are these people?". Three days and one very uncomfortable COVID experience later, I'd purchased a Passionflix membership, binged all 4 movies, and 2 days later, the 5th (this one). And now I'm stuck in a deep rabbit hole of "when is the next one coming out!?!" Hahahha

Cause here's the thing, the source material is OK. Not my preferred style, but I can see the bones. But Passionflix have really elevated the content in my opinion. Beautiful scenery, heartfelt leads, intense stares *sigh*. It's not Academy stuff, but it's damn addictive! And as someone who doesn't often get to see my preferred reading content turned into live action, I'm actually pretty thrilled! But now I'm stuck! Because although I've now read the whole saga.... I still REALLY want to see these films!
