Tubi, Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming service, today announced it has expanded its content offering in the UK by adding over a thousand movies and TV episodes to its free video-on-demand library.

With recently executed library content deals with global studios AMC Networks, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, New Regency, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, Tubi viewers in the UK will have access to even more fan-favorite movies across key performing genres, such as action, thriller, comedy, and horror.

Tubi launched in the UK in July 2024 with 20,000 movies and TV episodes and has since expanded its offering to include over 40,000 movies and TV episodes, currently available in the UK.

Titan Comics has published several important Blade Runner series that explore the world created by Scott during different periods and from the perspective of different characters.

We’re getting a classic Leverage episode with the Thursday, May 15, edition of Redemption, and so it’s fitting that one of the original series stars, Beth Riesgraf, who has continued to play thief Parker, stepped behind the camera to direct it (her fifth of the series). In “The Shakedown in Clone-Town Job,” Sophie (Gina Bellman‘s grifter), Eliot (Christian Kane‘s hitter), and Parker get caught in a small-town speed trap run by a corrupt mayor who is also the local judge, endeavoring to help the oppressed townspeople wrest power from his hungry clutches. The Robin Hood-esque team of experts is back for 10 more exciting jobs as “Leverage: Redemption” premiered Season 3 on its new home: Prime Video. The first two seasons streamed on now-shuttered Amazon Fast channel, Freevee.

This season sees them running a number of cons, all for the greater good, of course on a variety of high-level criminals. The series stars Gina Bellman as Sophie Deveraux and Christian Kane as Eliot Spencer, with Aldis Hodge (who also stars on “Cross”) returning as Alec Hardison and “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle also back as attorney Harry Wilson.

The season begins with the crew — Eliot, grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), and hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge) — mid-con in France when they have to flee. In the process, Eliot’s arm is slashed with a knife. Then, while trying to lie low, they end up in the middle of another con, and Parker suggests that Hardison, feeling like he’s not sure about how they crime anymore, give Eliot’s usual role a try, especially since the hitter’s lost a lot of blood and his left arm isn’t working. Parker even cuffs Eliot to a table, but he ends up freeing himself to help Hardison fight a guard.

The first three episodes drop Thursday, April 17, with new ones arriving every Thursday.

Gunslingers, directed by Brian Skiba, seems like an extended action sequence, as apart from the stylized Western-style gunfights, the film does not have much to offer. The problem I had with this film was that the audience was given little to no information about the motives and past lives of the various characters. So for 103 minutes, I felt like I was watching a bunch of people, about whom we never came to know anything, trying to get the better of each other. I didn’t understand why the narrative fastidiously abstained from delving into the lives of the characters and giving us any context about any of them. Also, I failed to understand what Nicolas Cage was trying to do in the film and what difference it would have made had his character not been there. There is a thin line between what could be funny and what just seems like absurdity.
