Thanks a lot for this! I was only 4 years old when Pumuckl came into my life. I loved him so much and I still do. And now (I'm 45 years old now) he is back and it moves me to tears. Pumuckl is the coolest goblin in the world! Never forget his rhyme: "Chocolate tastes good in Goblin's mouth and even better in an hour". It doesn't work so well in English. And Master Eder will not be forgotten! The best carpenter on TV ever. Who is Tim Taylor? This could bethe best Christmas of my life. I can hardly put it into words. Pure nostalgia. Love it and that love lasts forever! I really hope that children these days will also have a lot of fun with it.
I was sceptical when I saw that they revive Pumuckl, one of the best memories of my childhood.
Now after watching a couple of episodes with my daughter (6y) I know that the magic of Pumuckl is still there and it does still work.
It is a nicely made revival that honors the original series and brings it to actual times. It is nicely paced and the characters are well scripted and not overacted.
One of the things I love the most is that they stayed with a strong Bavarian dialect as the original series. Although I'm not Bavarian it's good to understand and even better if you know some of their special words ( I've lived in southern Germany for almost 20y).
Really lovely series, please do more. 👌

Being familiar with the shows of RTL and after seing the unnecessary sequel to "Club Las Piranhas", also being familiar with many other unneceessary reboots of classic shows nowadays I was very sceptical about the show but I decided to give it a go anyway. What can I say: I was really positively surprised. This show is really a respectful sequel to the classic Pumuckl stories with the great Gustl Bayrhammer and Hans Clarin from the 1980s, with which many, including myself, grew up with. They didn't just remake the show, they gave the show new life, while still keeping the style of the original. They did small references to the original show, to Bayrhammer, rebuilt the set the way it was, had the original voice of Hans Clarin instead of having an impersonator and despite the show being set in modern times they didn't try to make the show "hip" or "ultramodern". The way it was done it was very well done and elaborated. The new actors also fit well in the show and it is good that they had some of the original actors appearing in it too.
Well done RTL.

- TriviaIlse Neubauer is reprising her role of Mrs. Stürtzlinger from Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl (1982). She is one of the last remaining actors from the original series. When appearing on the set she said "It is, as if you would travel back in time for 40 years and there you are standing again in the workshop."
- Crazy creditsIn the style of the original show Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl (1982) the opening credits are displayed over the skyline of Munich and Pumuckl is seen playing with them all the time, only being invisible in the opening of the first episode.
