During the movie, Mahaakshay dances to the song "I question Mark" by Wade Robson.
Mimoh treated this film as his relaunch by using his real birth name " Mahaakshay" cutting his long bleached blond hair and losing weight. The film's director Vikram Bhatt dubbed for Mahaakshay in the film. The film became a hit but did nothing for Mimoh's career.
Facial design of the antagonistic spirit Iyer essayed by Arif Zakaria was partly inspired by Freddy Krueger, portrayed by Robert Englund in Wes Craven's NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET horror franchise.
When Nandamuri Kalyan Ram went to watch the film's 11 pm show after the opening week, he was surprised to see the theater filled with families and kids, who mostly came for the stereoscopic 3D experience. The film and its success prompted him to add 3D edge to his own Telugu film Om 3D (2013).
