The tale of WWE’s most iconic star, The Undertaker, kicks off at the 1990 Survivor Series, where he left a lasting impression on the minds of the wrestling fans. Since then, the wrestler has gone on to become one of the most loved stars, where he switched into a number of personas, each leaving the fans mesmerized. But his most popular would be the Deadman gimmick featuring alongside Paul Bearer.

The major part of The Phenom becoming infectiously popular was the storylines that followed him. The Big Evil’s career is filled with iconic rivalries that include names like Aj Styles, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and many more.
However, two feuds took his fame to a whole other level, where the emotions were so high that he was forced to ‘kill’ them.

Dragon Ball Heroes is a card-based arcade game that debuted in 2010 and was relaunched in 2016 under the updated title, Super Dragon Ball Heroes. In addition to the ongoing video game, Super Dragon Ball Heroes has expanded to include a manga and anime series that are designed to promote and tie-in with the video game. Super Dragon Ball Heroes produced 56 episodes across six years before finally coming to an end with its Demon Invader Saga. Dragon Ball Daima is set to be the next major chapter in the series, and could very well benefit from canonizing Heroes' unique concepts.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a promotional series designed to sell a product, but the anime explores sincerely interesting ideas and is responsible for creating (and fleshing out) some surprisingly deep characters. Given how outrageous and over-the-top the horror franchise is, it is surprising that Wrong Turn is based on a true story to some extent. With seven films to date, the Wrong Turn franchise has been something of a sleeper hit with horror fans. The first movie in 2003 follows a group of travelers who end up meeting in the West Virginia backcountry after a cannibal family sabotages their cars and leaves them vulnerable to being hunted. The original movie was the only installment to get a theatrical release; the rest were launched in a direct-to-video format.
The three cannibals in Wrong Turn Saw Tooth, One Eye, and Three Finger got more of a backstory in future installments, with Wrong Turn 4 serving as a prequel to the series. The movie embraced the extreme gore and violence, with few characters surviving. Even with the outlandish ways the franchise evolved, the Wrong Turn series...

The 'End of Level' Boss is a time-honored tradition in video gaming history and it's hard to think of a genre that doesn't have a superior foe for you to prove your skill and triumph over. From the earliest days of gaming to the modern era, these figures have evolved and grown with the nature of the immersive narrative, which has been cultivated by some of the best writers in the genre.
This is a look at some of my favorites, bosses who tested my skill, whose look and dialogue crawled under my skin and the most satisfying take downs in my gaming career.

As much as people in my forty-plus age group love to wax rhapsodic about the good ole days, what we really mean to say is that the 1980s was our time and it was the best time ever. But was it really? Well, for all the good things that happened (metal videos, big hair, personal computers), there were certainly a lot of bad (Reaganomics, neon, the Iran Contra scandal).
For a lot of us, we like to canonize 80s movies. We like to look at these pieces of cinematic richness as being the standard bearers for the films that came later. And when you consider that a lot of films that are released today are either inspired by movies from the 1980s or trying to capture that special 80s feeling, it's easy to look at this time in film history with rose colored glasses.
However, if we can be quite honest,...

Resurrections. Photoshop face-swaps. Shadow babies. Mystical Kevlar. What exactly can and can’t magic do in Game Of Thrones?
Spoilers for anyone not up-to-date with Game Of Thrones.
The greatest exchange in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is as follows:
Desperate, optimistic Finn: “We’ll figure it out! We’ll use the Force!”
Withering Han: “That’s not how the Force works.”
Finn’s line is so funny because it’s preposterous. We’re right there with Han, shaking our heads and tsking ‘That’s not how the Force works, dummy. Jeez, what a prong’.
Except, Finn isn’t a prong. Having led what we can only assume to have been the fairly sheltered life of a career Stormtrooper, he just doesn’t know the rules. Finn lives in a universe where magic—call The Force what you like but that’s what it is—legitimately exists,...

Lucifer is wasting a strong lead and plenty of potential by falling back on tired crime drama conventions...
This review contains spoilers.
1.2 Lucifer, Stay. Good Devil
They say that the devil is in the detail. See what I did there? Of course you did. Having watched episode 2 of Lucifer, you’ll be more than familiar with the self-referential style the show embraces. From the lead character’s cute quips (“it’s called a Devil’s Threesome for a reason”) to the soundtrack and even smart little visual gags such as the Apple of Temptation, Lucifer is all about making us aware of The Devil’s pervasiveness in the very heart of our world through throwaway pop culture punnery and clever iconography.
There’s no doubting that it’s clever… but does that make it wise? Finding ways to squeeze in references to ‘Old Scratch’ (his favourite handle,...

In total, The Ministry Of Darkness was only featured on then-wwf programming for around 8 months in 1999. Looking beyond the actual proper formation of the members who would make up the group, however, the seeds for the faction were sown months beforehand at the tail end of 1998. One shocking act from The Undertaker heralded the arrival of the Ministry, before the stable was officially announced on television by the ‘Lord Of Darkness’ himself.
Much like many other storylines during the much-loved ‘Attitude’ Era, the tale of The Ministry Of Darkness was a quick-moving blur of events and matches. It really seemed that Vince McMahon and his team of writers (including one Vince Russo) were flying by the seat of their pants with the angle, looking to up the stakes each week by presenting something new and interesting.

In the recent rush to acclaim Tom Cruise as the world's greatest living movie star (hot on the heels Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation), one phase of his career has been conspicuously overlooked. That's the brief interlude between 1983's Risky Business and 1986's Top Gun, during which he briefly acquired flowing rockstar locks and starred in Ridley Scott's fairytale flop Legend.
Not only has the 1985 film been wiped from Cruise's CV, it's also rarely spoken of when discussing Scott's career. All this despite arriving right after the director's stone-cold classics Alien and Blade Runner, and in the midst of the '80s swords and sorcery craze that gave us Arnie punching a camel and Dolph Lundgren as He-Man.
Why does Scott's last fantastical excursion until Prometheus continue to languish in obscurity? On one level the answer is simple: it was a huge box office bomb on release and only...

The Undertaker is the single most enduring character in WWE history. Perhaps the biggest success Mark Calaway can point to since debuting in 1990 has been his ability to keep things fresh. Initially, the character was an undead zombie, but the man has also played a Satanic ‘Lord Of Darkness’ and supernatural phenomenon, amongst others. One of the most startling shifts was when ‘Taker returned at Judgment Day 2000 as something completely fresh.
Going by the nickname, ‘American Bad Ass’, The Undertaker was suddenly more realistic than ever before. Looking to throw their weight behind this drastic new direction, the creative team handed ‘Taker more mic time and morphed him into an uncompromising brawler. Calaway’s real-life wife at the time, Sara was even eventually added into storylines.
By the time WrestleMania Xx in 2004 rolled around, WWE had decided to return ‘Taker to his roots. Ever since then, the character...

Of all the memorable imagery in 1985′s Legend, none stand out more than Tim Curry’s portrayal of the Lord of Darkness. Although the film turns 30 this year, Rob Bottin’s special effects makeup still look fresh. Given the 30th anniversary, Fright-Rags – one of my favourite t-shirt companies – is paying tribute to Ridley Scott’s cult classic with a collection of new shirts.
Three of the top names working in horror art today – Justin Osbourn, Christopher Lovell and Nathan Thomas Milliner – each offer a unique take on the iconic devil. All three designs are available on unisex tees or girls shirts, check the designs out below:

As Halloween approaches. The Streak is now at an end, and his future is in question, now seems a fitting time to look back at the greatest feuds of the most macabre of masters of the mat, The Undertaker.
For nearly one-quarter of a century, the Dead Man has entertained us through numerous matches and various feuds. From carving a path of destruction through the bottom of the card to making the stars of tomorrow and standing tall atop the card as only a Lord of Darkness could, Undertaker had pretty much done it all.
However, the vast expanse of his career makes narrowing things down to a mere ten entries a bit difficult. There is more to consider here than mere match quality; for instance, how a storyline progressed overall, and how certain feuds have impacted his career from that point on must be taken into consideration as well.

It's sad to see Universal marketing Dracula Untold as some sort of continuation of their classic monster series, which began with Lon Chaney back in the early '20s and saw Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi take over in the '30s, with Lugosi playing what may be the most iconic version of Dracula to date. To suggest this glossy, all over the place prequel to Bram Stoker's tale is in any way comparable to the now-considered classics is to have your head buried in the sand. Certainly the non-discerning young audience this film targets may find it somewhat entertaining, but if you're looking for any semblance of logical storytelling and/or narrative intrigue you've come to the wrong place. All begins as you'd expect, with a lengthy monologue telling us it's the "year of our Lord 1462", which, I have to ask, does adding "of our Lord" add anything...

Well this explains what Taylor Momsen has been up to for the past few years or so. The art of impersonation takes careful practice, and when your goal is, apparently, to mimic the world famous man of metal, it's best to take your time. We're pretty sure we've seen Ozzy Osbourne in this exact outfit once or twice. The all-black palette, oversized jacket and chunky boots reminds us of concert footage from The Osbournes...hmm...or that scary goth girl from our high school class. We're not sure why The Pretty Reckless front woman is going for such a vintage Lord of Darkness vibe. Granted, she's been rocking scary raccoon eyes since her Gossip Girl days, but this feels like things are progressing to a...

A few days ago we offered up our best horror films of 2013 -- although truth be told the list was written by me and I'm not the only horror freak at FEARnet -- but we thought it would be helpful to highlight some interesting horror movies on their way in 2014. Plus it's a great way to get some new readers on reviews we published months ago. (What? It's true!) We'll start with the ones I've actually seen, logically, and finish up with an exceedingly long listing of currently scheduled titles. We're thorough about horror films here at FEARnet. Happy New Year!
Note: whereas the previous Top 12 was "ranked," this one is what's called "alphabetical." You'll simply have to read the review to see what we think. Isn't that sneaky?

So now we know: Bryan Singer plans to bring fan favourite villain Apocalypse to his sequel to X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The director’s lone, teaser tweet has set the internet tongues wagging, with speculation rife that he could be about to officially bring the iconic Age Of Apocalypse event to the big screen, further complicating the already complex timeline that was reinvented (sort of) with First Class.
Age Of Apocalypse is about as big an event that could happen for X-Men (aside from their involvement in the wider Marvel Civil War arc) with Charles Xavier killed, Magneto turned away from the dark side, and made an advocate of co-existence, and of course, the attack and ultimate triumph of Apocalypse, the immortal mutant alien who takes the opportunity to take over the world for mutantkind.

For more than a year, pretty much all we.ve had to go on in terms of visuals for Disney.s villain story Maleficent is the stunning and sinister looking profile of Angelina Jolie as the title character, offering just a hint of her colorful eyes and the strange horned headpiece that reminds me a little of the Lord of Darkness from Legend. At long last, Disney got Maleficent to turn her head and look at us, and the effect is just the right amount of unnerving and positively chilling. The new poster comes to us from EW, and gives us an almost-full view of of her face, though part of it is obstructed by the high collar of her shirt. Cape? The fact that we don.t know that is actually all the more reason to anticipate even more glimpses of this character, as there.s clearly more costume...

Director: Ricky Wood. Writer: Rick Wood. Cast: Elizabeth Brown, Lisa Cameron, Lindsay Cromar, Shian Denovan, Samuel Feeney and David Hayman. Sawney: Flesh of Man was shot as an indie production in the United Kingdom. This film takes some of its mythology from a 15th Century legend, Sawney Bean. This cannibal, allegedly, stalked and killed over a thousand travellers in the Highlands of Scotland, with his ravenous family. Eventually, the family members were captured and executed. But, Rick Wood's script brings Sawney back from the dead, to haunt young lads and lasses. This film is excellently shot by Ricky Wood and the diverse characters add to the already moody scenery. The story is fairly straight forward. A detective is trying to catch a serial killer, who is chopping up local women. The bodies are only partially discovered (the rest has been eaten). Det. Munro (Gavin Mitchell) enlists the aid of a local journo',...

The legend of Sawney Bean has been the inspiration (at least partially) for a lot of horror movies over the years: The Hills Have Eyes, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, even the Wrong Turn franchise, but until now there has not been a film directly influenced by the legend. And there still isn’t. Based on the (in)famous legend of Sawney Bean, the patriarch of a cannibal family that killed over 1,000 people near the end of the 15th-century, Sawney: Flesh of Man instead updates the tale to modern-day Scotland and sees religious psychopath Sawney (Hayman) stalk Glasgow in a black cab, abducting unholy souls for his communion of sacrifices. With his insane family of inbred killers, Sawney tortures and eats their victims saving the...

Are you guys ready for a deadly game? David Guy Levy‘s horror thriller Would You Rather finally opens next week, and just in case you’re not so sure if this movie deserves your attention – we’re here to share two great videos from the whole thing. One woman, determined to save her brother, and one sadistic aristocrat determined to ruin their lives – this already sounds like a pretty cool plot!
David Guy Levy directed the movie from a script written by Steffen Schlachtenhaufen, which centers on a young woman named Iris and her brother Raleigh who has leukemia. In order to pay for treatment and help her brother, Iris agrees to compete in a pretty weird version of the well-known party game only with a little catch – players must instantly act on their choices, rather than simply explaining them, and the game’s stakes are lethal!

Ah FrightFest how I love thee. Yes, my annual excursion to Scotland for Glasgow FrightFest continues this year, and I couldn’t be happier! This years line-up is strong, Very strong, with plenty of variety and some great film picks by Alan, Ian, Paul and Greg. Plus the appearance of Norwegian drama Hellsfjord! Of all the films showing this year there’s one that I most excited to see – Detention of the Dead… I’ve tried my hardest to cover the film as much as possible over the past year as it looks like my “cup of tea”, so for it to show at FrightFest is awesome (although to be fair I already knew that was in the line-up). However the real big surprise is the appearance of Neil Jordan’s Byzantium in the line-up – the Scottish crowd is notoriously “blood-thirtsy” so I hope Jordan’s film isn’t too sedate for the Glasgow crowd.

A notorious cannibal has made a recent appearance at the American Film Market. His name is Sawney Bean. He was supposedly a Scottish flesheater who found a taste for local travellers in the 15th Century. Now, he is making his devilish presence known as Sawney: Flesh of Man. And, Jinga Films has released a clip for this dark tale. In the clip for Sawney: Flesh of Man, Bean lures a local reporter to his cavernous home. Bean has taken Hamish's girlfriend hostage. As Bean's appetite grows, Hamish begins to run out of time to save her. Have a look at the reel inside with this film likely to find horror audiences in 2013. Director/writer: Ricky Wood. Cast: Elizabeth Brown, Lisa Cameron, Lindsay Cromar, Shian Denovan, Samuel Feeney, David Hayman, William Houston, Rachel Jackson, Jean-Paul Jesstiece, Ross Maxwell, and Gavin Mitchell.
