More potential than product

Very good cast, but performances limited by script with too much talk and too little action. No surprises in the plot. The structure has been oft repeated and recycled since the Hong Kong flicks of the 1970s. And usually with more exciting fight sequences. Less involvement of the usually amusing and colorful drunken kung fu style than the film's title portends, adding to the disappointment over what we got compared to what might have been.

Totally Misleading Title With Nobody Drunk And No Drunken Boxing!

Totally wrong to mislead viewing audiences with a title that just a plain and simple outright lie! With only 2 (and very short at 2-3 minutes at most) scenes of anyone being drunk, with 1 of them supposedly showing student and Master doing drunken boxing style Kata (training moves); and the latter was not the correct moves for the Kata it should have been.

Apart from not being what it advertised its is a good film to watch but more of a drama than a Martial Arts film; as it is mostly talking and none too good a script at that. I likened it to being on par with the standard of film school students making a exam film of sorts. What fighting their was is spoilt because of bad camera work in that the shots were far too close to the subjects; thus you couldn't see the fighting moves/styles being used.

I would have to say that its not really a film worth spending your time upon as, it lacked a good script, title content, very little Martial Arts and a completely farcical hypnotist/illusionist.
