Whey a just watched episode one on UKTV and it's a canny decent time filla like.

Decent cast and concept but seems to be lacking a bit life.

Looks quite low budget and might be better suited to cBBC if not for the swearing.

But has the potential to hold one's interest.

Some viewers might struggle with the accents and dialect.

Loved it, great pilot - laughed throughout. Great concept with gripping story and characters. We need to make this a full series! Definitely one to watch, dead Canny!

This debut pilot is so funny and charismatic, it's a must watch for anyone who loves comedy and a soft spot for the north east! Clearly the writer is one to watch out for!

Loved the concept of the show and feel it could have a lot of legs with regards to story. Kev was the standout for me, he should become a bit of a sidekick role through the series. "Likes approaching double figures" 😂

So much fun, I want more of this! Great characters, lots of heart, plenty of laughs - what's not to love? Can definitely see this being a cult hit, please order the full series!

Highly enjoyable, witty and gritty comedy which perfectly captures the humour, spirit and "gallows humour" of the North East. Expertly written by Anna Costello and exceptionally delivered by the cast, particularly by lead Sarah Balfour, both uncovered gems in the current industry which is looking for a new and unique dark comedy - look no further than 'Dead Canny'! Can't wait to see more!

The opening scene nailed it for me. Hilarious with class acting from Sarah Balfour expertly conjuring up her ghosts in a laugh out loud moment. So refreshing to watch something fun with characters and a plot ripe for a series. There's no shortage of dead people to bring into the plot after all.

I'm intrigued to find out the family story - there were twinges of sadness in Kay's life. What's the history there? I'm dying to know!! Haha... bring the series on please!!!! We want more brilliant distraction from the real world at the moment thanks. Congrats to all involved.

Hilarious, witty, quick, well shot and a great cast and story. I'd love to watch the remaining series unfold and find out more about Kay's back story.

Such an incredible episode - I want MORE! So brilliantly written. It's hilarious, perfectly timed, outstanding comedy. It was funny and moving in equal measure from an amazing writer, cast and director, can't wait to see where this plot line goes in what is hopefully to be a coming series! Loved every moment of it.

Brilliantly funny, some clever little twists and superb performances from a well appointed cast. Clearly written with a love of the north east in mind, and as someone from the area, it's nice to see us represented!

Very entertaining show... Found it by chance while searching for something good to watch.. Found this and didn't disappoint.. Hope they do a lot more.

One of the funniest shows on TV I've seen this year. The cast were outstanding, especially the lead Kay and loved the concept of the show. Really hope this becomes a series.

Need a full series now!!! Outstanding balance of humour and heart, a truly brilliant show from an amazing upcoming writer - I'm sure this is just the first of many successful projects for her. Casted perfectly and a brilliant insight into north east life and humour.

All in all it was 'Dead Canny'

What a great find this was. The estranged Geordie in me felt transported back - it's not often we get a cracking North-Eastern comedy on our screens. Desperately hoping there'll be a follow up series, which after that cliff hanger surely there must be?? A great bunch of characters and an intriguing plot emerging. Best acting of the night, Kaylee by a long shot. Natural, dead funny, captivating, Loved Kev too - can see his character sitting nice alongside Kaylee throughout the next series. Did you say there was a next series?? Excellent :-)

What an absolutely amazing TV show! Me and my husband completely loved it, so funny, witty and different. I've not seen a show like this before, cannot recommend enough. IT NEEDS TO BE MADE INTO A SERIES!!!!!!! So so so much potential for this to be a cult classic. Being from the north east it's uncanny how accurate it all is, from the pubs, to the dialect. Can totally tell how much time and effort has gone into the writing and production of this programme. Really can not recommend it enough, everyone needs to see it! Definitely needs to be a series, it would be a massive hit with so many people.

Amazing show being from Consett myself it's fab seeing local places on TV, Denise Welch has always been one of my favourite actresses but in this she is hilarious, great story and so funny, give me so much more...Will definately be anxiously awaiting further episodes..Love Kev he's hilarious and will make a great sidekick for the physcic...one of the best shows I've seen in ages, has a gain and Stacey feel to it...when will the future episodes be available though, so ready to watch more. Well done to Anna costello she has brought consett to the map and we so want to see more of her work based locally.
