Terrible acting, with subtle feminist references such as "Stop it with the man stuff, it makes me feel old". We get it don't worry. You are the modern woman, strong, independent with a luxury car, better than any man that crosses your way, the usual thing. Also, the horror is not present and the ending did not make sense at all. I really felt that the actress was not into the role, sometimes forcing herself too much which did not bring any realism to it. Maybe it is time to come back to the classics of horror, and a bit less in the appearances. It almost feels like the movie was made for a group of friends rather to the general public.
I've just attended the world premiere of Woman in the Maze in Moscow, one day ahead of the US release. There were three people in the auditorium, including me. And none of us were interested in what's happening on the screen.
Mitesh Patel's flat directing spawns pedestrian acting provided by every single cast member and scarce, bloodless thrills. Despite constantly reminding the viewers that the film is inspired by the real ghost town of Jerome, AZ, and even going as far as doing the principal shooting there, Woman in the Maze doesn't actually utilize it or make it valuable to the plot, and it could easily be replaced by a fictional setting.
Don't mind the ridiculously high rating of 8,6 (higher than the ones of Rain Man and Citizen Kane), there's absolutely no way it's legit.

How do you talk about a movie like The Woman in the Maze? Let's start with writing.
I think an underdeveloped AI app would have done a better job. I've never seen cringier dialogues in my life. The story is full of holes and that might be the best thing about it.
Acting - or, the lack thereof. Anyone and everyone who was cast in this moving picture: Change careers. You are horrible. Worse than horrible. Do anything but act. Please
As for the lead actress. I mean, did someone force her to act? There is lack Of talent, there is mediocrity, and then there is her.
Directing. Well, there is none. Except... the reminder that this is THE GHOST TOWN. My cat would have directed this better.
Never will i ever watch a movie involving anyone involved in this joke.

Ignore the negative reviews. Trust me. They nearly put me off watching this movie. The acting is fine. It's the storyline that's the real winner here. Each time I read the storyline and read the negative reviews, there was a clear disconnect. How can a movie with such a brilliant storyline attract so many negative reviews? Even the trailer was very good by not giving anything away. So I took a deep breath and decided to watch the movie. Simply put; a brilliant movie with a perfect ending. Ignore the negative reviews. They are in no way whatsoever a true reflection on the movie. Watch the movie for yourself. You will see what I am talking about.

Every positive review is planted by the "filmmaker" because his narcissism can't handle the fact that he has no business making films.
The acting and writing are deplorable. The writer/director's head is so swelled, he's incapable of thinking for a moment anything he does is short of genius.
I thought perhaps after seeing "man in the maze" which amazingly, was even worse than this, that he had managed to improve, I was wrong. All that changed was a better director of photography was hired, but better shots alone do not a better movie make.
Yet the viewers have spoken. We see it for what it is. A disgrace to the medium.
