Screen Media Films has released a new trailer for Jeepers Creepers 3, which will get a one-night-only theatrical release from Fathom Events in theaters nationwide September 26. This trailer is a full minute longer than the first trailer that dropped two weeks ago, giving fans a better look at the iconic Creeper (Jonathan Breck), and those in the small town who band together to put an end to the Creeper's reign of terror once and for all. While we still have a few weeks left until this special event, there has already been plenty of controversy swirling around the movie.
Even before production began, we reported last March that the Jeepers Creepers 3 production was being forced to move, just before the production was supposed to begin in Canada. The production shift was forced by The Canadian Performers Union, which stopped a casting call from going out for the film, once the union...

Victor Salva has experienced his highs and lows, spanning a career including Clownhouse, Jeepers Creepers, and some other movies about albinos and such – but just when you thought a trip down Rosewood Lane was the worst Salva could do, he found shelter in Dark House. Personally, I believe Jeepers Creepers was a bit of a lucky victory, as Salva absolutely tries to recreate that same independent horror vibe, but as axe-wielding lunatics run on all fours, chasing our group of house hunting victims, Salva’s latest attempt becomes sillier and sillier. Casting Tobin Bell might bring horror credibility in some circles, but not even Jigsaw could save this ridiculous bit of realty horror – and no, that’s not just because of the house’s price. I guess it’s never a good sign when you can describe a film as a “fixer upper.”

Way back in November of 2011 we told you about Haunted, a Victor Salva flick starring Saw's Tobin Bell. Years passed. Things changed. The flick has a new title, Dark House (not to be confused with the kick-ass Darin Scott film of the same name), and it's on its way home.
Bell (pictured) stars alongside Leslie-Anne Down (Rosewood Lane) and Luke Kleintank ("Bones") in his first feature role. Anthony Rey Perez (Don't Pass Me By), Alex McKenna ("90210"), Zack Ward ("In My Pocket") and Max Gail ("Barney Miller," "Gary Unmarried") co-star.
Look for it in stores on March 11, 2014.
Synopsis
When Nick Di Santo learns that his father is not only alive but can possibly reveal the origin of his son's dark gift, he sets out on a trip that takes him to an abandoned mansion he thought only existed in his childhood imagination.

I try to be unbiased, and for the most part, I’m pretty successful. I’m only human though, and occasionally I’m swayed by who might be in the film. Some actors bring a disdain with them that the only hope of me getting past my biases is an undeniably good film. At the opposite end of the spectrum, I can give a pass to a pretty mediocre film if it features someone I like. This one has my kryptonite for being objective, Ms. Rose McGowan. I’ve always dug her in just about anything she’s done. Even films that were not so great for the above stated reasons. She definitely has a presence. I’ve seen her evolve from an evil ingenue in “Jawbreaker”, to being a part of the mainstream lexicon in “Charmed”, and now transitioning from younger to...

A year or so ago I was told directly from someone involved with the project that Jeepers Creepers 3 was on the verge of being filmed. That didnt happen. Instead Victor Salvas Rosewood Lane hit the masses and drew mixed reviews (for my money its a solid flick). Jeepers Creepers 3 remained a mystery that no one outside of perhaps Salva alone knew anything about.

You know you're in fashion trouble when it's impossible to tell how your dress is even staying in one piece! Rose McGowan's Viktor & Rolf gown is like an optical illusion meets a brain teaser. We think we can tell where the Rosewood Lane star's left shoulder fabric connects to the rest of her neckline, but we're not entirely sure. Is there a tie thing happening around the boob-area? That would sort of explain the peep hole around the center of her chest—sort of. Let's pretend we can understand what's going on with all this black fabric. The more important question should probably be, do we like it? Sadly, no. There's way too much bagginess in above the waist, and the...

People accuse old-school horror films of being emotionally retarded, in that so many of them reflect a permanently juvenile outlook on the world - sex bad, purity good, and it's so god damned cathartic when those whining teenagers get hacked up like cattle in a slaughterhouse, mkay? But at least your Saws and Final Destinations and countless remakes in 3D are honest with themselves about who they're screening for and what they're offering. The one thing that stymies Victor Salva's Rosewood Lane is it aspires to be more than an adolescent fantasy; it feels as if it was written by someone who wanted very badly to make a shameless piece of pandering, but just point blank refused to admit it to himself. So heroine Sonny Blake...

Late-night radio doc, Sonny Blake, is haunted by her past. We know this because Rosewood Lane has great chunks of its svelte 92 minute runtime devoted to telling us so.
She has Daddy-demons and bad-boyfriend demons and, potentially/possibly/maybe, a demon-demon to battle. That’s a lot of demons. Fortunately, life as the 21st Century Jack Killian has armed her well. Doctor Sonny believes there is no such thing as an accident. She tells her callers this – often. And she’s going back to the ‘burbs to confront her past. Nothing scares Sonny – she’s a can-do kind of gal.
Flash-forward a day, and a quick unpack, and Sonny (Rose McGowan) is scared of her scary paperboy (Daniel Ross Owens). We know he is scary because her next door neighbor tells us so. And dogs chase his bike down the street. That the only concrete scary thing about the paperboy,...

★☆☆☆☆ Jeepers Creepers (2001) director Victor Salva is back with Rosewood Lane (2011), an allegedly petrifying picture of a seemingly idyllic neighbourhood, starring Rose McGowan, Lauren Valez of Dexter fame and Laura Palmer's dad, Ray Wise. McGowan plays Sonny Blake, a talk-radio psychologist who, following the death of her alcoholic father, moves into his house on Rosewood Lane. Sonny is warned by her creepy neighbour to stay away from the local paper-boy as he is a cunning and dangerous sociopath.

Rosewood Lane
Stars: Rose McGowan, Bill Fagerbakke, Ray Wise, Lauren Vélez, Lin Shaye, Lesley-Anne Down, Rance Howard, Daniel Ross Owens | Written and Directed by Victor Salva
Moving into a strange neighbourhood can be a weird experience, but it never helps when the local paperboy appears to be controlling people with a reign of terror. Done in an interesting way this could be an interesting tale for this film starring Rose McGowan but one of the biggest problems though it could be one of the most annoying stories I’ve ever seen, all because of an attempt to make the main character seem crazy, yet giving too much proof that the events she’s experiencing are actually happening.
Rose McGowan stars as Sonny Blake who decides to move back into the family home a year after her father’s untimely death. It’s not long though before she’s warned to...

I haven’t been following this particular motion picture too closely, but I’m definitely a little curious about it. Salva is pretty much hit and miss with me, though the first “Jeepers Creepers” is a pretty badass horror flick. The sequel, well, not so much. “Rosewood Lane” has a secret weapon in Rose McGowan, an actress who should at least have a small role in every movie ever made. And if she insists on having a machine gun for a leg in each one, I’m totally down with that. In fact, I totally encourage it. Here’s what the flick is all about: Rose McGowan plays Doctor Sonny Blake, a radio talk show psychiatrist, who moves back to her childhood home after her alcoholic father dies. Once back in her old neighborhood she discovers the local paperboy is a frightening and cunning young sociopath that targeted her father and now targets her.

Looking like it's taking the Beastly route, THR scored the first two images from The Tale Tale Heart, the latest adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's short story. The haunting tale of a man who murders an old man, and then hides his body under his floorboards only to be driven insane by the sound of his still-beating heart has been adapted into an upcoming film starring Patrick John Flueger, Rose McGowan (Rosewood Lane, Scream, Grindhouse) and Peter Bogdanovich. The site reports that a tale of romance has been added to Poe's dark story for the film adaptation. Bogdanovich will play the one-eyed old man. Director John La Tier's adaptation is currently filming in New Orleans. Also joining the cast is Jacob Vargas (Devil, Traffic, Jarhead), Damon Whitaker (Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai) and Kirk Fox (Forgetting Sarah Marshall).

Radio talk show psychiatrist Sonny Blake (Rose McGowan) decides to move back to her childhood home in Stillwater after her alcoholic father dies. But her new neighborhood is not what it seems, as the local paperboy is a cunning sociopath who stalked her father, and now has his black eyes set on her. He even goes as far as calling into her show and turns innocent nursery rhymes into macabre omens of things to come. Her next door neighbor confines in her that he believes this paperboy killed her dad and is visiting her to deliver more than just the news of the day.
The police don’t have enough evidence to do anything about it, her co-worker thinks she is coming to grips with her traumatic family upbringing, and her boyfriend thinks it’s a figment of her imagination until he gets shoved down the cellar stairs and ends...

The first trailer we saw for Hammer's "The Woman in Black" was stately, quiet, and unnerving. This new UK trailer for the ghostly flick amps up the action and shows how young lawyer Arthur Kipps ("Harry Potter's" Daniel Radcliffe) races to uncover the dark secrets of one English village and a mysterious woman who keeps appearing in the mansion he has come to work in.

It features not just one creepy dead girl ghost, but three — and lots of atmospheric, jumpy chills. You'll be able to meet the woman in black on February 3, 2012 — but in the meantime, see what other horrific things await you in this week's Horror Bites after the jump.

Rose McGowan has her hands full with the paperboy in the first trailer for Rosewood Lane, but this doesn’t have anything to do with overdue payment for the paper route. The dogs know the secret. Do you?
Radio talk show therapist Sonny Blake (McGowan) moves back to her childhood home after her alcoholic father dies, which seems kind of weird when you consider all the old memories that linger in a home where you grew up. Anyway, it’s a nice, quiet neighborhood… except for the paperboy, who has all Sonny’s neighbors living in terror. Even if you ignore the freaky eye thing he does, he’s still the type of guy you want to keep an eye on.
Rosewood Lane is written and directed by Victor Salva, the same guy that brought us Jeepers Creepers, so be prepared for a few chills and thrills.

Rosewood Lane is about to make its world debut at the Screamfest Film Festival in La. To get people excited about the upcoming thriller from Victor Salva, Shock-till-you-Drop is releasing the brand-new trailer. I love star Rose McGowan and I was thoroughly entertained with what Salva did with Jeepers Creepers, but this trailer doesn’t get me overly excited. I guess I should re-phrase myself. The trailer is effective at displaying some thrilling moments from the film. I just can’t help but get the feeling that I have seen this film before. We’ll have to see after this weekend when reviews start pouring in from the fest. You can judge the new trailer for yourself below.

Remember that cycle of "From Hell" movies in the 1990s? We had the babysitter from Hell in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle; the roommate from Hell in Single White Female; the tenant from Hell in Pacific Heights; the cop from Hell in Unlawful Entry; and so on... And now, very belatedly, here's Rose McGowan being menaced by the paperboy from Hell, in Victor Salva's Rosewood Lane.Except it looks as if there may be more to this particular antagonist than simply being a bit of a sociopath. Is there the hint of some supernatural shenanigans here? Frankly, it's too dark to really tell, but there are definite suggestions that Paperboy can do things beyond the ken of the other yoot, and that Rose isn't afraid of him like her neighbours know to be (wise warning imparted there by Rance Howard, in Fred Gwynne Pet Sematary mode). We're also...

While debunking the latest Jeepers Creepers rumor Bloody Disgusting broke the news that this October Victor Salva would be in Mississippi getting behind the camera for Haunted, about young man who can touch people -- and inexplicably see how they would die. Sound a bit like Dead Zone. We got exclusive word today that Leslie Down is the first to join the cast as "Molly". Down also starred in Salva's Rosewood Lane, which premieres at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in CA next month. We also got some new info on the plot, which plays out a bit like this: The Beast is forbidden to ever enter the human world - only a mortal son could invite him. So the beast created one.

With Victor Salva's Rosewood Lane getting ready to premiere at this year's Screamfest L.A., all eyes are on the director to see if his next project will be the long talked about Jeepers Creepers 3. In fact some reports started trickling in that shooting has already begun. Unfortunately that's just not the case.
Bloody Disgusting was quick to debunk the rumors and in doing so found out that this October Salva will be in Mississippi getting behind the camera for Haunted, which follows the journey of a young man who has the ability to touch people and inexplicably see how they die.
Very Dead Zone, but hey, if doing this gets JC3 one step closer to getting made, then hell yeah! Look for more on both films as soon as possible.
