Image

Speaking to Deadline, Ritter opened up about her character Mia's trajectory on Dexter: Resurrection, and why is surprising turn was never going to "go well" for her in the end. Regarding Mia revealing herself as an unfeeling serial killer before being set up by Michael C. Hall's Dexter Morgan and arrested, Ritter said, "Shooting Episode 5 was exciting because of that turn."

"When I’m sitting down to read all the scripts, it’s an exciting character twist and another color to play. And I just loved how deranged and psychotic she turns out to be," Ritter continued. "She starts off very cool and deliberate, and then when she and Dexter warm up,...

Krysten Ritter Hints at Unfinished Business as Mia in Dexter: Resurrection and It Could Change Everything
Image
Dexter: Resurrection has been one hell of a ride and has served fans in ways they couldn’t have imagined. But it isn’t Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan who stole the show, but Krysten Ritter’s enigmatic and hot serial killer, Mia.

A seductive and charming character who infiltrates a serial killer club and ends up setting up a brilliantly carried out mysterious ‘suicide’ setup, Ritter revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Mia’s time in the series might not be over yet.

For me, this role was absolute candy, and I had so much fun doing it. So, we’ll see. Maybe it’s not the end of this character. We’ll see.

While Episode 6 gave viewers a better look at Mia’s motivations and tangled connection to Dexter’s new world, Ritter’s hints suggest that her arc may be far from over...

Mia Review: A Haunting Duet of Doubt and Desperation
Image
A disheveled man watches a teenage girl from a rusty pickup truck. This image, thick with foreboding, opens Mia and immediately establishes the grammar of a thriller. The man, Aaron, soon abducts the girl, Emma. What follows, however, is not a typical story of a crime and its resolution.

Aaron makes no demands for money. Instead, he presents a shocking claim: he is Emma’s father, and she is Mia, his daughter who vanished fourteen years prior. This startling turn shifts the film’s foundation from physical danger to psychological torment. The audience is immediately confronted with a difficult question. Is Aaron a violent man lost in a dangerous delusion, or is he a broken father enacting a desperate, tragic reunion?

The story locks us inside a claustrophobic world with these two figures, Aaron (Shah Motia) and Emma (Emiliana Jasper), who represent the two poles of a terrifying possibility. Mia...

‘Mia’ Trailer – Psychological Thriller Blurs the Line Between Truth and Madness
Image
Blurring the line between truth and madness, Mia is described as a gripping psychological thriller reminiscent of Prisoners and Gone Girl.

At the heart of the story is Aaron, a mentally troubled drifter who’s convinced that Emma, a sheltered 17-year-old, is his long-lost daughter, Mia. The problem? Emma insists she’s never seen him before, sending Aaron spiraling between certainty and delusion.

Who is telling the truth? And who is truly in danger? Find out when the film hits VOD on July 8 via Breaking Glass Pictures.

Luis Ferrer, whose past scripts have been optioned by Netflix and Spike Lee, writes and directs.

Emiliana Jasper, Shah Motia, and Julie Lucido star.

“Mia is a film designed to make you feel uneasy from the very first frame,” says Ferrer. “I wanted to explore the terror of uncertainty—of not knowing what’s real or who to trust.”

“Mia is an unforgettable...

A postcard from The Fourth Evia Project by Amber Wilkinson
Mia (2023)
Mamma Mia! How could we resist it? It was standing room only at the Apollon open air cinema in Edipsos Photo: Courtesy of Thessaloniki Film Festival In the four years since a wildfire ripped across the northern part of the Greek island of Evia in 2021, taking with it hundreds of thousands of acres of trees, reforestation has been industrious alongside steps to hopefully prevent such devastating fires in the future. Thessaloniki Film Festival, with support from the Greek Ministry of Culture, has also been busily at work cultivating the seeds of cultural recovery, hosting its five-day green initiative, The Evia Project each year since.

The fourth edition just wrapped up last night and, after attending last year, it is obvious that the event, like the trees, is starting to put down strong roots. Screenings at the open-air Apollon cinema in Edipsos, which was renovated especially for the project, were fuller than ever,...

Redux Redux Review: DIY Sci-Fi Meets Maternal Obsession
Image
Irene Kelly emerges in shadow, her silhouette framed against the pulsing glow of a coffin-shaped multiverse portal. In Redux Redux, director-siblings Kevin and Matthew McManus plunge us into a road-worn Los Angeles that exists in dozens of alternate takes, each one marked by the same grim ritual: Irene leaps between realities to kill the man who murdered her daughter.

Michaela McManus embodies a mother whose grief has calcified into obsession, while Stella Marcus charts a parallel arc of survival as Mia, the teenager who refuses to be collateral damage. Jeremy Holm’s Neville, by contrast, is a subdued menace whose real horror lies in the mundane spaces he inhabits—a diner counter, a motel bed.

This fusion of science-fiction conceit and stripped-down revenge thriller feels rooted in the sibling duo’s indie-film upbringing yet resonates with global audiences familiar with themes of loss and retribution. From its first frame, Redux...

Tom & Jerry is Coming Back: We Love What Warner Bros is Doing With Iconic Cartoons
Image
A new and exciting version of the animated Tom & Jerry is being brought to the theaters in the near future by Warner Bros. The studio was at the receiving end of significant criticism from fans of these classic cartoons after Coyote vs Acme‘s treatment. The film, which was on sale since February 2024, was sold to Ketchup Entertainment in March 2025.

Many fans almost believed that Warner Bros. would distance itself from these kinds of projects involving cartoon characters. However, WB Animation has doubled down on the classics, announcing not only a theatrical Tom & Jerry film but also theatrical versions of The Flintstones and Looney Tunes.

A movie about Hanna-Barbera’s iconic cat-and-mouse characters was first reported in December. The Flintstones project has been in development at the studio from 2023, however, the current film appears to be a...

‘Mamma Mia!’ Returning to Broadway This Summer
Image
Mamma Mia! is returning to Broadway.

The hit musical, which ran on Broadway from October 2001 to September 2015, will return to the Winter Garden Theatre this summer starting Aug. 2. An opening night celebration will be held Aug. 14. The limited engagement will play in New York through Feb. 1, 2026.

“When Mamma Mia! opened on Broadway in 2001, the show had already launched productions in London and Toronto and played a sold-out North American tour. Despite the glowing reception we received in those markets, nothing could have prepared us for the outpouring of love and acclaim (and dancing in the aisles!) that overwhelmed us when we arrived in New York at the magnificent Winter Garden Theatre,” creator and producer Judy Craymer said.

“Last year, Mamma Mia! celebrated 25 successful years in the West End, and it’s truly fantastic to bring the original production back to its Broadway home after 24 years.

The show, which also launched...

B&b Spoilers: 4 Ways Ivy Can Be Used, Mia Character Being Wasted
Ashleigh Brewer
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that fans were excited when Ashleigh Brewer reprised the role of Ivy Forrester.

Aside from the Remy Pryce (Christian Weissmann) storyline, fans really haven’t seen Ivy. It seems the character is being wasted, so here are four ways that the soap could use Ivy right now.

Forrester Takeover Storyline

Ivy and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) are continuing to work on their jewelry line despite the takeover. It would have been interesting if the Forrester family clued Ivy at least on their plan.

Electra is clearly going through too much and probably feels stuck in the middle. Electra is also taking her cues, at least in business, from Ivy.

While Ivy does have a past conflict with Steffy, they are both Forresters. It seems a shame that Ivy isn’t being pulled into this storyline.

Remy Pryce’s Return

The first time Remy was around,...

‘My Fault London’ Movie Ending Explained & Summary: Is Travis Dead?

Her mother had fallen in love with a British man and she wanted Noah to stay with them. Noah’s relationship with her father was messed up, but we’ll get back to that later. Leaving behind her best friend, Haley, and her boyfriend, Dan, was not easy, but Noah didn’t have much of a choice. She was prepared to hate her new life, especially her stepbrother, Nick. So pretty much the same thing all over again - another girl and a wild cat becoming friends and saving each other. However, the film is entirely in English anyway. A new adventure in the heart of the Amazon, the story follows a girl who befriends a black Jaguar in the Amazon, and returns years later to find the Jaguar and save her...

Directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians), the film marks the first installment of a two-part series, which is loosely based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, L. Frank Baum's Oz books, and the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz. The first musical act has surprised many fans globally, including those who typically dislike musicals.A month prior, Wicked broke the all-time domestic box office record by becoming the highest-grossing Broadway musical adaptation, earning $214.3 million by its second...

Gabriel Guevara and Nicole Wallace in À Contre-Sens 2 (2024)
8 Movies to Watch if you liked ‘Your Fault’ on Prime Video
Gabriel Guevara and Nicole Wallace in À Contre-Sens 2 (2024)
Spanish romance “Your Fault” (Culpa Tuya), like its predecessor, “My Fault” (Culpa Mía) has become the latest worthy addition to the ever-so-engaging “guilty-pleasure” genre. Although lacking in terms of cinematic value, the movie makes up for that with its ‘forbidden love” storyline. It is, of course, extra scandalous as the lead male and female happen to be step-siblings. There is always a significant appeal for movies like “Your Fault,” and many of you have certainly looked for similar movies right after finishing the Prime Video hit. For those interested in such films, this is where you find the answer.

The first look at 28 Years Later dropped, and let’s just say, it’s a lot to process. Shot entirely on an iPhone, the trailer served up some serious DIY energy. But while the low-budget vibes might intrigue some, others are questioning if it’s a bold move or a cinematic gamble. The real twist? No sign of Cillian Murphy — yes, the heartbeat of the original saga is nowhere to be found.

‘FBI: Most Wanted’ Sneak Peek: Is Ethan Cheating on Hana? (Video)
Image
Uh-oh, it’s beginning to look like Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) maybe shouldn’t trust her boyfriend, Ethan (Michael Raymond-James), on FBI: Most Wanted. Just look at TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the December 3 episode as the FBI agent and Air Marshal cozy up on the couch. The good news? Ethan’s dog loves Hana—which makes sense, given how much time she’s spending with him. “I know I’ve bene Mia lately, but I do have a special night planned for us this week,” Ethan tells her. “I got us tickets to the Rockettes’ Christmas Spectacular at Radio City. I know it’s corny.” But Hana is all for it. “I love corny. I actually love Christmas—especially if it’s with you,” she says. The two share a cute moment before his dog interrupts. But after Ethan leaves to take him out, Hana sees a text come through on his phone…...

The Terminator 4K Blu-ray gets surprisingly high marks; original sound mix restored
James Cameron
Director James Cameron’s The Terminator is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, it’s the latest one of the director’s movies to get a radical 4K restoration done by Park Road Post, a post-production facility owned by Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films. This company is behind some of the most incredible, acclaimed restorations in recent memory, including Peter Jackson’s WWI documentary, They Shall Not Grow Old, and his The Beatles’ Get Back documentary.

But they’ve also been controversial, with James Cameron using them to significantly alter the looks of several of his films as they hit 4K. Notably, each film had been completely wiped of any film-like grain, making them look more like contemporary films than those made in the 1980s and 90s. This was especially noticeable in Aliens, which always sported a grainy look due to the high-speed film stock used.

Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 10 Took Some Long Detours Before Getting To The Beginning Of The End For Jamie And Beth
Image
If you’d hoped we were done with slow scenes celebrating cowboy culture, you’ll be disappointed with Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 10.

The first half of the episode took another long-winded detour to Texas, where Beth showed up out of the blue to insist on a date night with Rip.

Some of the Texas stuff was interesting, and I love Beth and Rip, but come on, Yellowstone! We have a murder to avenge.

(Paramount/Screenshot) Rip’s Warnings About Snakes On Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 10 Were Symbolic Of The Real Threat, But That Wasn’t Enough

The opening scene confused me. I couldn’t figure out if this was another flashback to before John’s death or if Rip was back in Texas in the present.

It was an interesting scenario that I probably would have enjoyed if I wasn’t so busy trying to figure out the timeline and how snakes...

Yellowstone, in that respect, began a revolution. It was not simply the cowboys and the vast, endless expanse of the ranches that made life seem so attractive. Sheridan’s creation gave the viewers a feast for the senses. With family drama and politics wrapped in murder and mayhem, Yellowstone ushered in a new era of Westerns that erased the line separating greatness and corruption.

There’s Still Hope for Yellowstone if Taylor Sheridan Remembers Anything About His Best Film: ‘Give you something to chew on for days and weeks’
Image
When it comes to storytelling, the magic often lies in the nuances, the details that linger in the mind long after the last scene fades to black. And, if there’s any hope left for Yellowstone, perhaps it resides in Taylor Sheridan’s gift for storytelling, evident in his masterstroke, Hell or High Water. This low-budget gem, featuring Chris Pine and Ben Foster as bank-robbing siblings and Jeff Bridges as their relentless pursuer, wowed critics at Cannes and captured audiences’ hearts worldwide.

Taylor Sheridan | Credit: Yellowstone/Paramount

Set against the backdrop of Texas, Sheridan weaves a vibrant tapestry. He artfully explores the enduring legacy of the American frontier, creating a narrative that’s as thought-provoking as it is thrilling. Reflecting on Sheridan’s success, one might wonder: Could Yellowstone find its saving grace if its creator taps into the same reservoir of creativity that gave us something to chew on for days and weeks?...
