Mamma Mia! is returning to Broadway.
The hit musical, which ran on Broadway from October 2001 to September 2015, will return to the Winter Garden Theatre this summer starting Aug. 2. An opening night celebration will be held Aug. 14. The limited engagement will play in New York through Feb. 1, 2026.
“When Mamma Mia! opened on Broadway in 2001, the show had already launched productions in London and Toronto and played a sold-out North American tour. Despite the glowing reception we received in those markets, nothing could have prepared us for the outpouring of love and acclaim (and dancing in the aisles!) that overwhelmed us when we arrived in New York at the magnificent Winter Garden Theatre,” creator and producer Judy Craymer said.
“Last year, Mamma Mia! celebrated 25 successful years in the West End, and it’s truly fantastic to bring the original production back to its Broadway home after 24 years.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that fans were excited when Ashleigh Brewer reprised the role of Ivy Forrester.
Aside from the Remy Pryce (Christian Weissmann) storyline, fans really haven’t seen Ivy. It seems the character is being wasted, so here are four ways that the soap could use Ivy right now.
Forrester Takeover Storyline
Ivy and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) are continuing to work on their jewelry line despite the takeover. It would have been interesting if the Forrester family clued Ivy at least on their plan.
Electra is clearly going through too much and probably feels stuck in the middle. Electra is also taking her cues, at least in business, from Ivy.
While Ivy does have a past conflict with Steffy, they are both Forresters. It seems a shame that Ivy isn’t being pulled into this storyline.

Drake and PartyNextDoor’s new album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, has arrived and, depending on who you ask, is evidence that Drake is as good as ever or more proof that his career can’t withstand the death blow of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” Reality is probably somewhere closer to the middle, as the album offers fans of Drake and Pnd’s breezy R&b sound plenty to grasp onto, with 21 tracks of well-executed, signature Ovo-style hits. Drake and Pnd have a magnetic chemistry that jells on several moments on the record,...

My Fault: London is a British spin-off of the popular Spanish film series, Mia Culpa. The fact that it is one of the most popular franchises on Amazon Prime is reason enough to release pretty much the same story in English language for the global audience. The focus here is more on the drama and mystery element than the steamy romance. Noah had packed her belongings to move from Florida to London. Her mother had fallen in love with a British man and she wanted Noah to stay with them. Noah’s relationship with her father was messed up, but we’ll get back to that later. Leaving behind her best friend, Haley, and her boyfriend, Dan, was not easy, but Noah didn’t have much of a choice. She was prepared to hate her new life, especially her stepbrother, Nick. Sharing the same space with someone her age she...

"There's only jaguar left and its days are numbered..." Blue Fox is releasing this uplifting animal friendship movie in theaters later this month. Autumn and the Black Jaguar is an adventure movie from the same French filmmakers behind Mia and the White Lion and The Wolf and the Lion previously. So pretty much the same thing all over again - another girl and a wild cat becoming friends and saving each other. This also has a few other different titles including Ella and the Black Jaguar, or Le dernier Jaguar, because it's a French production and the her original name in that version Ella (but in this it's Autumn). However, the film is entirely in English anyway. A new adventure in the heart of the Amazon, the story follows a girl who befriends a black Jaguar in the Amazon, and returns years later to find the Jaguar and save her...

Spanish romance “Your Fault” (Culpa Tuya), like its predecessor, “My Fault” (Culpa Mía) has become the latest worthy addition to the ever-so-engaging “guilty-pleasure” genre. Although lacking in terms of cinematic value, the movie makes up for that with its ‘forbidden love” storyline. It is, of course, extra scandalous as the lead male and female happen to be step-siblings. There is always a significant appeal for movies like “Your Fault,” and many of you have certainly looked for similar movies right after finishing the Prime Video hit. For those interested in such films, this is where you find the answer.

The first look at 28 Years Later dropped, and let’s just say, it’s a lot to process. Shot entirely on an iPhone, the trailer served up some serious DIY energy. But while the low-budget vibes might intrigue some, others are questioning if it’s a bold move or a cinematic gamble. The real twist? No sign of Cillian Murphy — yes, the heartbeat of the original saga is nowhere to be found.

Uh-oh, it’s beginning to look like Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) maybe shouldn’t trust her boyfriend, Ethan (Michael Raymond-James), on FBI: Most Wanted. Ethan’s dog loves Hana—which makes sense, given how much time she’s spending with him. “I know I’ve bene Mia lately, but I do have a special night planned for us this week,” Ethan tells her. “I got us tickets to the Rockettes’ Christmas Spectacular at Radio City. I know it’s corny.” But Hana is all for it. “I love corny. I actually love Christmas—especially if it’s with you,” she says. The two share a cute moment before his dog interrupts. Director James Cameron’s The Terminator is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, it’s the latest one of the director’s movies to get a radical 4K restoration done by Park Road Post, a post-production facility owned by Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films. This company is behind some of the most incredible, acclaimed restorations in recent memory, including Peter Jackson’s WWI documentary, They Shall Not Grow Old, and his The Beatles’ Get Back documentary.
But they’ve also been controversial, with James Cameron using them to significantly alter the looks of several of his films as they hit 4K. Notably, each film had been completely wiped of any film-like grain, making them look more like contemporary films than those made in the 1980s and 90s. This was especially noticeable in Aliens, which always sported a grainy look due to the high-speed film stock used.

If you’d hoped we were done with slow scenes celebrating cowboy culture, you’ll be disappointed with Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 10.
The first half of the episode took another long-winded detour to Texas, where Beth showed up out of the blue to insist on a date night with Rip.

The opening scene confused me. I couldn’t figure out if this was another flashback to before John’s death or if Rip was back in Texas in the present.

It can be universally agreed upon that Taylor Sheridan has forever altered the way the audience perceives Westerns in the modern film and television industry. He not only brought back a near-extinct genre to life but gave it such momentum that Westerns are gaining a foothold as one of the most-watched genres by the modern audience.
Yellowstone [Credit: Paramount+]
Yellowstone, in that respect, began a revolution. It was not simply the cowboys and the vast, endless expanse of the ranches that made life seem so attractive. Sheridan’s creation gave the viewers a feast for the senses. With family drama and politics wrapped in murder and mayhem, Yellowstone ushered in a new era of Westerns that erased the line separating greatness and corruption.

When it comes to storytelling, the magic often lies in the nuances, the details that linger in the mind long after the last scene fades to black. And, if there’s any hope left for Yellowstone, perhaps it resides in Taylor Sheridan’s gift for storytelling, evident in his masterstroke, Hell or High Water. This low-budget gem, featuring Chris Pine and Ben Foster as bank-robbing siblings and Jeff Bridges as their relentless pursuer, wowed critics at Cannes and captured audiences’ hearts worldwide.

Set against the backdrop of Texas, Sheridan weaves a vibrant tapestry. He artfully explores the enduring legacy of the American frontier, creating a narrative that’s as thought-provoking as it is thrilling. Reflecting on Sheridan’s success, one might wonder: Could Yellowstone find its saving grace if its creator taps into the same reservoir of creativity that gave us something to chew on for days and weeks?...

French director Coralie Fargeat has made a name for her subversive feminist movies. Her latest, The Substance, starring Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid, is a scathing critique of the misogyny of Hollywood, both external and internalized, that drives women to pursue perfection and beauty at any cost through a sci-fi and horror lens. The result is one of the most arresting, devastating and thoroughly disturbing movies of 2024, and one of the best body horror movies in recent history.

Sunday’s Emmy Awards will take place nearly two weeks after 16 Disney networks went dark on DirecTV due to a carriage dispute between the companies.
Barring a resolution before the show, the unavailability of ABC for 11 million DirecTV subscribers (a healthy number of them in the L.A. market) will come at an inopportune time for Disney. The media giant is not just broadcasting this year’s Emmys; its shows, notably FX’s The Bear and Shōgun, are poised to take many of the night’s biggest trophies. Fxx, one of the other networks affected by the blackout, is also airing an edited telecast of last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys, which Disney dominated with a record 51 wins, on Saturday night.

While #ChuckyNation waits for any news surrounding the hopeful renewal of the Syfy and USA Network series, Chucky, Netflix is bringing fans the next best thing. Beginning on August 1, 99% of the Childs Play franchise will be available for binging with the streamer boasting a lineup that includes Childs Play 2, Childs Play 3, Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky, Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky all in one place. The glaring Mia title here is obviously the movie that started it all, 1988s Childs Play. Its unclear why Netflix was able to solidify the streaming rights for every movie in the series aside from the original, but there are still places (like MGM+) where those in need of a full rewatch can start before switching over to Netflix for the other six chapters.

Plot: When Riley (Sarah Durn), a YouTube paranormal investigator, disappears, her older sister, Mia (Camille Sullivan), frantically searches for her.
Review: Of all the films premiering at this year’s edition of the Fantasia Film Festival, very few have piqued the interest of genre fans everywhere, like Shelby Oaks. The feature directorial debut of YouTube film critic Chris Stuckmann (who also wrote and co-produced the film), it was recently snapped up for theatrical release by Neon, who are riding high as a genre distributor following the success of Longlegs. Many of his fans are curious whether Stuckmann’s on-camera criticism translates into solid directorial chops.
So what’s the result? Sad to say, the hope that Shelby Oaks would be the next great horror debut was overblown. This is meant as no sleight against Stuckmann who, I must admit, I know next to nothing about. I’ve only seen a handful of his reviews,...
