Exclusive: Maurice Compte, Danay Garcia and Cary Elwes (Saw) have joined the series regular cast of Peacock’s upcoming South Florida-set crime thriller M.I.A. from Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque.

Compte, Garcia and Elwes join the previously announced series leads Shannon Gisela, who plays ‘Etta Tiger Jonze,’ Brittany Adebumola, who plays ‘Lovely’ and Dylan Jackson, who plays ‘Stanley.’ The new trios’ character names are under wraps.

Running drugs is a family affair for Etta Tiger Jonze (Gisela) in M.I.A. But when the family business is threatened, she is thrust into a life she never expected, forcing her to use her wits to survive as she navigates Miami’s criminal underground.

Mia is the airport code for Miami. The SoFla area consists of Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.

Mamma Mia! is returning to Broadway.

The hit musical, which ran on Broadway from October 2001 to September 2015, will return to the Winter Garden Theatre this summer starting Aug. 2. An opening night celebration will be held Aug. 14. The limited engagement will play in New York through Feb. 1, 2026.

“When Mamma Mia! opened on Broadway in 2001, the show had already launched productions in London and Toronto and played a sold-out North American tour. Despite the glowing reception we received in those markets, nothing could have prepared us for the outpouring of love and acclaim (and dancing in the aisles!) that overwhelmed us when we arrived in New York at the magnificent Winter Garden Theatre,” creator and producer Judy Craymer said.

Exclusive: Studiocanal has unveiled first images for French director Gilles de Maistre’s upcoming feature The Desert Child retelling the true story of a youngster raised by ostriches in the Sahara, ahead of launching the movie at the EFM.

As per Variety, West is now going to develop a comedy series called Bloodlust. West will develop the project with Halsey, who is signed on to write for the series. Bloodlust will be developed for Prime Video and is described as a dark comedy. In addition to writing, Halsey is the creator and producer of the series, but she is not slated to star in the show.

Director James Cameron’s The Terminator is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, it’s the latest one of the director’s movies to get a radical 4K restoration done by Park Road Post, a post-production facility owned by Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films. This company is behind some of the most incredible, acclaimed restorations in recent memory, including Peter Jackson’s WWI documentary, They Shall Not Grow Old, and his The Beatles’ Get Back documentary.

But they’ve also been controversial, with James Cameron using them to significantly alter the looks of several of his films as they hit 4K. Notably, each film had been completely wiped of any film-like grain, making them look more like contemporary films than those made in the 1980s and 90s. This was especially noticeable in Aliens, which always sported a grainy look due to the high-speed film stock used.

If you’d hoped we were done with slow scenes celebrating cowboy culture, you’ll be disappointed with Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 10.

Oscar-nominated screenwriter Jeff Pope (“Philomena”) and Xavier Marchand of “Nautilus” producer Moonriver TV are teaming up on “Castle of the Eagles,” a six-episode limited series based on the true story of Allied POWs who staged a daring prison break from a fortified Italian castle during World War II.

The duo will be presenting the project to an industry audience in Rome during the Mia Market, which runs Oct. 14 – 18.

Written by Pope and based on the book of the same name by Mark Felton, “Castle of the Eagles” is produced by Marchand for Moonriver and Pope for his production label Etta Pictures, which is part of ITV Studios. “Harry Potter” star Jason Isaacs, who played Cary Grant in the four-part ITV biopic “Archie” written by Pope, is attached in a lead role.

Chris Pine is unsure if he’ll be reprising his royal role in The Princess Diaries 3.

The actor made his debut in 2004’s The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement as a love interest for Anne Hathaway’s Mia Thermopolis.

While visiting Today with Hoda and Jenna, Pine was asked if he would return to reprise the role of Nicholas Deveraux.

“I don’t know anything,” he said.

The co-hosts of the fourth hour of NBC’s Today were in shock. Pine wasn’t aware if he would return to the Princess Diaries universe in the film, which Adele Lim is set to direct.

Peacock is moving ahead with the latest series from Bill Dubuque, who is best known for cocreating Netflix’s “Ozark” with Mark Williams. The upcoming crime thriller is titled “M.I.A.”

The deal to land the series was described as a “highly competitive situation” in a press release about the forthcoming show. MRC will produce the drama, with Karen Campbell serving as its executive producer and showrunner. Stefano Sollima, the creator and director of both “ZeroZeroZero” and the Italian series “Gomorrah,” will direct and executive produce.

The result sends Etta on a series journey from a powerless orphan to South Florida’s most powerful criminal queenpin.

Karen Campbell will executive produce and showrun M.I.A., while Stefano Sollima will direct and executive produce. Earlier, Solima served as the creator and director of ZeroZeroZero and as the showrunner and director of the hit Italian series Gomorrah.

Ozark earned 45 Emmy nominations and four wins, in addition to honors at the Golden Globes, WGA, SAG and DGA Awards.

Review: Of all the films premiering at this year’s edition of the Fantasia Film Festival, very few have piqued the interest of genre fans everywhere, like Shelby Oaks. The feature directorial debut of YouTube film critic Chris Stuckmann (who also wrote and co-produced the film), it was recently snapped up for theatrical release by Neon, who are riding high as a genre distributor following the success of Longlegs. Aaron Pierre has found his next acting gig following his departure from Marvel Studios' Blade reboot. The actor has joined the Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show, in a major recurring role.

According to Deadline, Pierre who recently portrayed Malcolm X in the National Geographic miniseries Genius: MLK/X has been cast to play Miles, "an acclaimed visual artist who moves through the circles of the New York elite," in Season 4 of The Morning Show, which is currently in production. The casting marks the latest major acting role for Pierre, who was also seen late last year in the sci-fi thriller Foe, opposite Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan. Up next for the actor is Barry Jenkins' Mufasa: The Lion King, where he can be heard as the voice of the titular lion.
