Much of the comedy in this movie stems from Bill Burr's stand-up and podcast. For die-hard Burr fans, it's obvious that the character of Aspen is Bill's perception of Steve Jobs, lifted from Burr's stand-up set for "Night of Too Many Stars" 2012. In Bill's stand-up, he says he pictures Steve Jobs "...just strutting around the office, eating some pretentious fruit like a pear." Aspen is seen constantly strutting around the office, conducts a Steve Jobs-like Powerpoint presentation, and once the presentation has concluded, is eating a pretentious fruit like a pear.
