Principal photography for La nouvelle guerre des boutons (2011) began on May 23, 2011 and took place in the villages of Blesle, Lavaudieu and Lavoûte-Chilhac in the Haute-Loire department in south-central France. A few scenes were shot in the Cantal department. Filming continued until August 8, 2011.
