Stag

Send Your Regrets To "Stag"
Bachelor Party is the end-all, be-all movie about guys behaving poorly during a bachelor or "stag" party. Perhaps in the wake of The Hangover, there's a resurgence in bachelor party flicks. Stag stars the underrated Donald Faison as Ken, the master of the "stag party prank" who, on the eve of his own wedding, is concerned about his friends' seeming lack of payback for his years of cranking.

Full of Canadian accents and poorly-timed comedy, Stag is not a great flick. Even Faison, an actor I clearly like, is playing one speed the entire time. That speed is manic and loud. It's like Nicolas Cage in Honeymoon in Vegas. He's horrible here, all scream-y and obnoxious.

Watch Trailer For Comedy Film 'Stag' Toplining Donald Faison
I suppose there are people out there who find Donald Faison funny in that sort of geeky, nerdy and goofy sort of way. I fail to see it. Maybe he's an acquired taste. But if you're a fan of his, then check out this trailer for his new comedy film, Stag, written and directed by Brett Heard, which looks more a straight-to-dvd release than a theatrical one. In the film Faison plays ordinary guy Ken Andrews who, as Heard himself as written for the synopsis, "has been the orchestrator of the hazing pranks at all of his buddies' stags - elaborate, hilarious pranks that have left many emotional scars and a few physical ones. And now today is Ken's stag! He...
