    Victory over defeat

At first I refuse to watch this movie. I wanted to save the impression about the story told in the "first Montevideo". No one could argue with that. But, then I saw the words "see you" in the movie's title, and I thought: that's reality calling all the visions, all the dreams to put up the fight with them. How long will the players stand for their team, how long will they truly play? When will they realize how big is that dream, how deceptive the illusions could be? Everybody knows that Yugoslav team didn't won the first World Cup, so they were defeated and somebody will say: they lost. So, their biggest dream didn't come true? How do we know that it was the biggest one? Maybe they've already accomplished that when they were chosen and came to Montevideo only to play football just for fun, for the love of the game... Is there some victory hidden behind the competitions, behind the money that tends to control all, behind the vanity... You'll never know if you refuse to watch, like I did, until now...

One of the best football movies, even though it's not just about the sport

There aren't a lot of films about association football where football features so much. This has it all - football, drama, love, comedy, friendship and camaraderie. It's visually great, the music amazing, the main plot is good and there are enough sub-plots to keep the story interesting. The film is a bit of a light-hearted drama (not too heavy, deep or sad) and has moments of light comedy and comes off as being cute.

It does play as a feel-good film without avoiding issues such as corruption, nationalism, what is the precursor to football hooliganism and so on, but it does not take those issues lightly either.

Overall a great film and a must watch for people that are into history, football and the history of football.

    lcd television

In one of the reviews I've read he/she complains having new flat TVin 1930. with Neymar on it.

Maybe you should consider re-watching a movie ones again, because when you saw a modern TV it wasn't 1930., it was present, having Stanoje (little lame boy) telling story at his old age to another man, who wanted to make a movie about it.

So... since you sh*t on the movie, which you obviously didn't understand, you should not give false information to others.

Great movie, but the sense of humor is not that easy to understand to non Yugoslavian people, since the translation is too literal.

    Great movie, don't miss it

Can't give it a 10, but movie is great…chance to see what was the football when it was played from love to the game, and to see beginnings of interference of managers and money. Of the topic, mr. Petarmatic, at first i thought the same, wtf Serbian best position when Yugoslavia played, then I read about and saw that only Serbian players played, and Serbia has all the right to be proud of its best position in the World cup. Your comments of the Serbian aggression were not pertinent for this site, and are rather one-sided. Couple hundred thousand of Serbian people was expelled from theirs homes and killed in "Serbian aggression" so please edit your comment and keep commenting the movie only.

Excellent movie which you need to watch

This is an excellent movie, with great story, great camera, great acting.... One more thing this is second part of th movie Montevideo - God Bless you, When I was looking for this movie on this site I just sawed review from ex Yugoslavia's republic called Bosnia and Herzegovina and in every single thing these people form Bosnia (Islamic part of Bosnia) are writing things that has nothing with movie, they write about politics and religious views an in a matter of a fact this film has nothing to do with it and its true story what happened what you can easily find evidence in a 1 minute. In first part of film in that time 1930 was Yugoslavian Kingdom and Croatian players didn't want to play on this world cup and that is a fact that only Serbian players actually did play on this world cup. Its easy to find which players played for every country for example Yugoslavia beat Brasil 2:1

So stunning movie really non political and very easy for watching, I recommend you to watch it an I'm sure you will like it if you like football (in USA soccer). Rating in my opinion pure 10.
