Letdown of monumental proportion.

Dude, I was so hyped for "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan." Like, seriously, a desi buddy-cop flick with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff? Sign. Me. Up. But let me tell you, this movie left me feeling more disappointed than after finding out the pizza place was closed.

Director Zafar seems stuck on repeat. Instead of something fresh, we get reheated Bollywood clichés. The only surprising thing was the pre-interval helicopter stunt, and even that felt more like a magic trick than anything mind-blowing. The rest of the action scenes? Total snoozefest. Shaky camerawork made it impossible to see the fight choreography, and the whole thing felt rushed and forgettable.

Don't get me wrong, I love Kumar and Shroff. They're both awesome actors. But the script did them a dirty trick. Their banter felt forced, and their characters had zero depth. They never clicked as a team, which left me wondering why they were even paired up. Even the villain, played with some energy by Prithviraj Sukumaran, couldn't save this flick from being a total meh.

The jokes were stale, like week-old reheated puns that wouldn't even make my dad laugh (and trust me, that's a low bar). The plot itself was a narrative wasteland, with no real stakes or emotional connection. Zafar's previous films at least had a touch of heart or social commentary, but "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" felt completely hollow.

Adding to the disappointment was Alaya F's performance as Pam. Her acting felt one-note and forgettable. It makes you wonder if a more experienced actress could have brought more life to the role and maybe even lifted up the whole movie.

Honestly, skip this one. Bollywood has tons of fantastic comedies and action flicks. Don't waste your time on this forgettable mess with recycled jokes, generic action, and zero originality. Do yourself a favor and find something else to watch. You deserve way better.

An epic mess

Bade Miya Chote Miyan, helmed by director Ali Abbas Zafar, embarks on an ambitious journey but falters due to its lackluster screenplay, cringe-worthy dialogues, and subpar performances. Each actor, notably Alaya F, fails to deliver convincingly, while the actions feel passé, reminiscent of clichés seen in prior productions. Regrettably, the film lacks standout moments; its plot twists are predictable, and there's a conspicuous absence of gripping action sequences. Cinematography is passable, and the background score, though serviceable, fails to elevate the viewing experience. Moreover, the song choices feel out of sync with the narrative. The narrative's disjointedness leaves viewers bewildered within the first half-hour, resulting in an overall disappointing cinematic experience. Overall, 'Bade Miya Chote Miyan' falls short of expectations, marking an epic letdown.

Disaster......

The movie lacks everything. There is no storyline, the actions sequences are copied and performed badly, the music is below average, acting department lacks conviction. Why on earth Akshay was sporting a fake moustache? What were Manushi and Alaya F doing in the movie. They should first join some acting schools. The direction is also mediocre to say the least. The dialogues are cringe. Akshay seems to sleep walk through the entire movie. Tiger needs to buckle up and choose his scripts wisely as he is giving disaster after disaster. 350 Cr were spent on this bogus product. I wasted my time and would request viewers not to waste theirs.

Disgraceful

This film is literally a disgrace to the og Bade miyan chote miyan. They promoted this pathetic vfx film by real action. One general audience can also observe the pathetic vfx. And gosh the dialogue delivery is so cringe. Didn't have any expectations from tiger but what happened to Akshay kumar? This 90s popular star is failing again and again. It is high time he must take a break. His look doesn't fit the character. At this time only some mediocre action sequence can't make a film hit. There is chance of this film to get a good box office run. It can't even reach its budget of 350crs. Only Prithviraj looks promising. Overall this film is total disappointing and not worthy for a theatre watch!

This movie falls flat

I was really hoping for this movie to be good based on the trailer. A great trailer, well cut, with well done sequences and a bit of comedy with loads of action. But when you watch the movie, the trailer turns out to be fools gold. Supposedly cool one liners are unimpressive and badly delivered by Tiger. For AK, it now seems like a 9-5 job to churn out as many movies as he can. He looks uninterested and has given a clumsy performance.

The only right casting in this action movie is Prithviraj. He tried to hold it together on the behalf of everyone throughout the movie. The story is illogical and the mindless action tries to cover up the bad performances by the leading ladies of the movie. It looked like their faces were stunned before starting the shoot everyday. Action in the movie lacks conviction and a fairy tale plot is the undoing of the movie. The second star in the rating is for Prithviraj.

What a waste of time and money

Just watched this with family but what a waste of money.

I normally don't review movies, specially never a negative review as i can understand how much hard work goes into it and its disheartening for them to see a bad review, but this movie has been a HUGE disappointment from start to finish.

Dialogue delivery was rubbish, story line was no where to be found and what's up with Indian movies now a days? Can they not make a movie which is not against Pakistan or Muslims?

I understand the relationship is not good between the 2 but the general public has no problem with Indians or Pakistani people they whole heartedly welcome each other. In fact most of my team is from india and i am from Pakistan.

Any how i am going away from the topic, the movie has disappointing at least to the fans of original BMCM.

My whole family has been super disappointed.

Akshey kumar looks older then ever and yet he is not letting go of his hero punti. Not suiting the character at all, tiger's dialogue delivery is like watching some one rehearsing lines.

The whole movie infact looks very raw and un refined.

For me a big disappointment and i would not recommend this to anyone.

Avoid at all costs if you value your sanity!

Please do not watch this movie... I did and I'm regretting it so very much! A little over 2 and half hours of my life which I will never get back. Tragic writing, cringe jokes, horrid acting... I mean frankly this movie is an example of how a movie should not be made. They spent so much money on making this and if this is what they came up with then I truly am at a loss where Bollywood is headed to! Fancy explosions and silly gunfights don't make a movie good, one needs a solid story to rivet the viewer in and sadly that's exactly what this movie lacks.

Tiger Shroff is only good at showing his muscles because his acting in the movie is downright horrid. He is just there to act as a cheap Rambo lookalike with Akshay by his side. Also, Manushi Chhillar's performance is so robotic that it hurts. Akshay and Prithviraj are good but the story is so atrocious that nothing saves the movie from falling face down. Alaya in the little time she has in the movie manages to be annoying which is quite the feat.

Once again, please run far away and steer clear of watching this horrid sham of a movie if you value your sanity! This script should have been flushed down the toilet and never been made into a movie at all. Terrible!

Not Bad

I went into this with 0 expectations, noting how badly this movie did at the box office. It's definitely no where near as bad as everyone is making it out to be. If you like like OTT action than you will love this. Tiger's comic timing was good, he made me laugh a few times. Akshay was good. Manushi was above average in her action scenes, she could definitely pull off a cop role and seems to have some undevloped potential. Alaya was super cute and funny. Her character was just what the movie needed to add some balance. The action scenes were good and there were some stunts that i had not seen done before. The music didnt add much - they decided to squeeze in two songs into the credits which was a bit odd - not sure why they didnt fit at least one of the songs into the actual movie ? Anyways, a good friday night watch or date night movie.

Well made but....

Full comic book and video game stuff....there was this slight smile on my lips throughout the movie, hugely inspired from Hollywood b grade movies by a listed actors, couple of men, a women and a nerd techie out to save India from a catastrophe....the formula used by Hollywood in innumerable movies. The movie was primarily let down by below average VFX and cheesy dialogues and the worst casting of manushi chillar as an army officer. Fast paced, just one song and some kick-ass hand combat battles, bgm, Aaliya furniturewala's act was pure lit and for a change we saw a tiger Shroff who acted sensibly. Rest of the cast including Akshay Kumar were good and a special mention of prithviraj sukumaran as the antagonist who really played his part well. All in all a one time entertaining family watch.

One of the worst action movies in recent times....

The man who gives us TZH & Sultan like movies had made this crap is unbelievable because this film is one of the worst action films in recent times. Just wanna ask AAZ why you have to torture the audience like this, first watch it for yourself or some experts and then release it because this is a bigcast movie that everyone is waiting for.

There is not a even a single scene that has depth or make emotional connect with the audience not even the characters of the film have made any impression the writing is that bad. Screenplay is like a headache for me after listening the dialogues and humour.

Storyline about AI could've been the golden opportunity for the makers if it had been well executed, but the execution is so bad that even I'm shocked after watching the film because this film will be one of the worst big budget action films in recent times.

Even the action scenes that are displayed in the movie has not made any impact it's like just watch and forget type of scene we're watching. Connection is very important in action films whether it'll be from storyline or characters because it'll give you the momentum where the action sequences feels enjoyable whenever the moment comes but this is major lack in the film.

Just with the heavy military vehicles, choppers and big explosion doesn't make your action larger than life it has to have a depth with the character or the story that should make impact with people.

Prithviraj as a villian surprise me well but that too has shorter role which was unexpected and the character was not utilized well enough.

Akshay, Manushi & Ronit Roy are the only cast that acted well in this mess because atleast they've been doing what they've told but rest of the cast are intolerable specially Tiger & Alaya in the humour part is irritating on another level.

Bgm is the highlight of the film I would say because songs are easily forgettable.

This film is the biggest misfire in terms of direction, storyline & the execution.

Overall a disaster with the big names is all I can say.....

Skip it if you can

They invested 300 crore and came up with this. Feeling bad for prithviraj for choosing this kind of below average script considering the brilliant actor he is. Coming to Tiger I think he should retire now from acting. In the end to Akshay Kumar I have only one question....... Why , what went wrong , why are you doing this.

Please stop doing these kind of nonsense movies. We as an Indian audiance, we want our old Akshay Kumar back.

It is simply Ganpath 2.0 or Heropanthi 2.0 .

Bad script, bad direction, poor acting, poor VFX and the list goes on and on. Don't waste your hard earned money here.

Farce ratings. As usual Bollywood nonsense

Please dont spend a penny on this movie. The movie blows chunks and is nothing more than a continuing pension scheme for Akshay kumar and an unemployment benefit for Tiger Shroff. The movie has made less than 50 crores in a week that had extended holidays. These ratings are just marketing gimmicks and pr baazi. These Bollywood movies have never work on a good storyline and they just want to shove garbage down our throats. Now Akki fans can assemble and rant, but the truth is that he is the most duplicitous individual in life and has given nothing more than sub par performances.

They won't even let me submit this.

Not a review of the move but a review of the reviews

I want to inform all of you about the meaning of the stars in the reviews of this movie:

5 or More: It was definitely written by someone who got paid to write it or knows one of the actors personally.

3 or 4: They don't have any taste in movies.

2: They had a really bad day and needed anything to get their mind off it.

1: 0 or -ve star was not an option.

Hope this helps.

By the way, I couldn't finish the movie. Tried to sit through it 2 times but finally gave up. I really don't want to give anything away, but my recommendation would be to skip this one. If anyone watches this movie after reading this comment, I would love to hear their feedback.

Dear Prithvi, you deserved better!

During the initial 30-35 minutes (until the title card appeared), I was actually enjoying the ride.

The action sequences were engaging, the grandeur of the production was impressive, and most importantly, I found myself quite entertained by the friendly banter between Akshay and Tiger.

However, following this promising start, the quality of the film took a sharp decline shortly thereafter.

The writing, action sequences, and performances all suffered a noticeable drop in quality. The screenplay became sloppy and muddled, the dialogues became quite generic and cheesy.

For me however, the biggest surprise was to witness the sheer inefficiency of the action pieces. Inspite of their scale and intent, they failed to make a lasting impact on me.

For a movie that was specifically marketed as an action entertainer, it is disappointing to say the least.

P. S. I liked Prithvi in here, he did good, his commitment was more visible compared to others.

Quite joyful action thriller!

The story is about soldiers one of which has turn rogue as his creation has been termed as ill by others.

What I most liked about the movie was that, it was totally new from events that have really occurred in history. I mean it did not include events like URI or 7-11 as build up story.

To add further it has use of some technology some in use and other superficial into consideration when our beloved country is concerned. There is use of defensive Dome & super Drone technology. There is concept of self-healing clones & EMP devices.

The characters that are built like Tiger, Akshay, tech specialist, etc bring joy to your experience. If you are planning to watch a movie this week do consider it.

I have a question*.

I don't want to comment on story but after watching this I only have one question is villain's not paying for the bullets bill or they are not allowed to fire or they are new joiners . Are they joined for on the job training . If somebody knows the director can you please ask this question and say them to please give us a clarification on this question or pls refund my ticket price .

Sorry for this but is tiger getting bragging in movie rather than payment or they are trying to give some more content for insta reels and also what a costume design in they first action scene after watching that costume i think that was designed by urfi's rookies or i think I am getting outdated in fashion.

Love u Akshay sir.

VERY BORING AND POORLY MADE, AVOID!

Once again Bollywood has released another flop Eid movie.

I had high expectations of this movie considering Akshay stars in it and the movie is directed by Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai director, but the movie was so boring whereby nothing worked.

The comedy didn't land well and couldn't even bring a smile.

The Hollywood looking fight scenes were a little entertaining but not quickly became dull.

Acting was mediocre.

Grand entrance didn't hype you up.

Songs were not memorable.

Dialogues were lifeless.

What a wasted opportunity!

After sitting in the cinema for some time, I started to question, what on earth am I doing wasting my time watching this nonsense! I've watched worse movies than this, but honestly given the budget and the cast , they could have done so much better than this in 2024.

Bade Miya Chote Miya: A Disappointing Comedy Mess

This film falls flat on every level imaginable. From its tired and recycled jokes to its lackluster performances, there's hardly a moment worth laughing at. The plot is as thin as tissue paper, with predictable twists and turns that leave the audience feeling more bored than entertained. Even the usually reliable lead actors couldn't salvage this sinking ship. Save your time and money, and skip this forgettable mess of a movie.

Additionally, the film's pacing is erratic, lurching from one poorly executed scene to the next without any sense of cohesion. The attempts at humor feel forced and often resort to cheap gags that are more cringe-worthy than amusing.

The music and choreography are equally lackluster, failing to inject any energy or excitement into the proceedings. It's clear that little effort went into crafting a memorable soundtrack or engaging dance sequences.

Overall, *Bade Miya Chote Miya* is a forgettable Bollywood comedy that fails to deliver on every front. Save yourself the agony of enduring this cinematic disaster and opt for something more deserving of your time.

Storyline Feels Repeated & Over Saturated

How many times do we have to watch similar stories in Bollywood? They just make slight changes to the stories already shown thousand times in previous movies and the movie has nothing new to deliver. What's the story? It's clearly shown in the trailer, I'm not spoiling anything. Same old story. The country is in trouble, forget the thousand of personnel serving it on the border, forget everything, just hire two guys, and finish a war. What is this nonsense? Last time, I watched similar storyline in Baaghi 3, just the causes of the problem in the movie are different. I felt cringe. As an audience, I feel like I am fool. They do things that make no sense at all. Come on man. I have already watched movies like this thousand times already. I don't want to say anything furthermore. If you are fan of such movies, then you can go watch me. For me, I felt like, there was nothing new, except for the top budget and VFX & these 3 stars are only for that. Thanks.

A Disappointing Mess - "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" Falls Flat

"Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" is a colossal disappointment that fails to deliver on any front. Despite the star-studded cast and the promise of a comedic extravaganza, this film is an excruciating experience that leaves you questioning your life choices for having sat through it.

The plot, if you can call it that, is a jumbled mess of clichés and nonsensical sequences that make little to no sense. The storyline seems to have been thrown together haphazardly, with no regard for coherence or logical progression. It's a slapstick comedy gone horribly wrong, with jokes that are either painfully predictable or just plain cringeworthy.

The supporting cast doesn't fare any better, delivering wooden performances that add nothing to the already tedious narrative. The female characters are reduced to mere props, serving no purpose.

The pacing is erratic, and the editing is choppy, making it difficult to stay engaged. The musical numbers, usually a highlight in Bollywood films, are forgettable and poorly choreographed, adding to the overall sense of mediocrity.

In conclusion, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" is a catastrophic failure that squanders the potential of its cast and director. It's a tedious, unfunny, and forgettable film that leaves you wishing you had spent your time and money elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble and skip this one - there are far better ways to spend your time than enduring this cinematic disaster.

To be this dedicated in making a bad film is indeed very rare.

India has an new enemy who not just attacks the convoy transporting a very important thing but he also steals it. He wants to destroy India and with no other choice, Colonel Azad seeks out two court martialed soldiers Freddie and Rocky to go on this mission to stop the new enemy as well as bringing back what he stole. Misha is assigned to get the duo to work together and an IT specialist Pam to assist them. However, the mission they are on is a Chakravyuh and they aren't aware what they are up against. How does our heroes rise from the ashes and figure out what else rose from that very ash to torment them, in order to save India from it's biggest threat, forms rest of the story.

Ali Abbas Zafar's ambitious story suffers largely due to how dull and unoriginal the screenplay is. Known as a director who knows to elevate his main lead and having executed that extremely well with Salman Khan films, it is indeed a big surprise how he failed to give a single decent hero elevation scene here despite having two major action stars. Not a single action stood out in this 160 odd minutes film and there is only so much Prithviraj Sukumaran can do with his committed performance till the end.

The camaraderie between Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff suffers from lackluster writing with both of them getting outdated lines. The humor borderlines silly and honestly it takes special effort to make Tiger Shroff look dull in action scenes which he is most comfortable at. Tiger might be repetitive with his choice of films but that doesn't justify designing dull action scenes. Similarly, Akshay Kumar fails right from the look and letting Sanjana Sanghi's Pam address him as uncle is laudable, but considering his experience Akshay is indeed severely under used. As far as the story goes, no matter how much Ali wants to be sincere, it simply has no novelty and just putting Pakistan - China together as a threat alone isn't an excuse when the outcome is this silly. For those who watch till the end, there are 2 songs added in the end credits and a hint for a sequel which we can rest assured of not happening.
