Super Meat Boy is a very hard platformer made by Edmund McMillen, and this is one of my favorite games made by him. I shall now review it.
This game starts with Meat Boy and Bandage Girl being happy, until the evil Dr. Fetus beats up Meat Boy and kidnaps Bandage Girl. So now you have to go get her, or whatever.
The real meat of the game is the fantastic gameplay, however. Meat Boy can run, jump, and that's about it, but the amount of fun they squeezed out of this simple moveset is astonishing. The levels are all diverse and unique, and they're also super short, which I quite like. As in, the levels are all one screen long. It's pretty neat. The game is also tough as nails, like holy crap it's hard. Especially in the bonus world The Cotton Alley, which I still haven't beaten.
There's also boss battles, which are pretty eh to me. They're fine, I guess, but nothing too amazing. They pretty much just entail running around and doing certain things (great explanation, I know). My least favorite part of the entire game is probably Little Horn, boss of chapter 4, as he's only beatable if you've got either insane pattern recognition skills, or you look it up. Or you spend 5 hours learning his moveset. Your choice.
I know this was a pretty short review, but I really don't have much else to say. I just really like this game and I think you should play it!

The music is good nothing wrong with the control the gameplay is good the game is legendary just try it.
The tutorial is good but the game doesn't need a tutorial its just like every platforming game in this world the graphics is so god for a platforming game the story is simple like most of the platforming games the gameplay is the most important thing.

I belong to the old school generation of players going back to NES and before. This title is amazing for lovers of classic platform games. A great tribute to 8-16/bit games. Levels are diverse and extremely challenging, they are also designed to enable speed running. The music is very well crafted, it has the 8-bit feeling yet if has a modern pace and energy, it's capable of evoking old times while keeping you motivated to keep going when levels become very hard to beat. A highly recommended title to play for hours, i only stop when my thumbs are hurting. This game is highly recommended I have been playing this game for hours and hours and it really takes me back to the days when you had to really master every inch of a level in order to finish a game.
This game is brutally hard, it's the Dar Souls of platformers, this will challenge even the best of platforming pro's, however if your patient and persistent you will eventually emerge triumphant. This game was clearly made for an audience who grew up in the 90's, a time where games pretty much taught you how to swim by throwing you into a shark-infested river, and it shows with an art-style and chock full of references to games of past.
Super Meat Boy is a challenging, fast-paced platformer developed by Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes. The game follows the story of a meat-based protagonist named Meat Boy as he attempts to rescue his girlfriend Bandage Girl from the clutches of the evil Dr. Fetus.
The gameplay of Super Meat Boy is tight and precise, requiring quick reflexes and precise timing to navigate through the game's challenging levels. The game features a wide variety of obstacles and enemies, each of which requires a different strategy to overcome. The game's difficulty is tough, but fair, and the instant respawn after death allows players to quickly retry levels, encouraging players to keep trying to improve their skills.
The game's art style is simple yet effective, with a minimalist aesthetic that perfectly captures the game's sense of humor. The game's soundtrack is also noteworthy, with a great selection of tracks that perfectly complement the game's fast-paced action.
One of the highlights of Super Meat Boy is the level of replayability, the game features a large number of levels, each of which can be completed in different ways and each level can be played again and again to try to beat your best time or to find all the collectibles. The game also includes a level editor that allows players to create their own levels and share them with other players.
Super Meat Boy is a must-have for fans of challenging platformers and indie games. The game offers a high level of difficulty, tight and precise gameplay, and a great sense of humor. It's a game that will test your skills and keep you coming back for more.

- TriviaInitially the game was planned for Nintendo's downloadable Wiiware service, however the final game ended up being larger than that service's maximum size limit. The team thought about doing a physical release for the system but were persuaded not too by other publishers who told them that people weren't buying Wii games in sufficient enough numbers to warrant the cost. Years later, Super Meat Boy at it's sequel became available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
