a mediocre film with a very sad yet true background !

most people find this movie one sided it is ......... which war based movie isn't ??? p.s it is just as one sided as the reality is ... even the death toll of Palestinian children is more than Israeli army !! the movie is based on the same reality with a lot of amateur filming mistakes and definitely can not be compared to any Hollywood movie with remotely as high budget as of this movie, the action could have been made a lot better than what was shown in the movie... still it was a good movie !this movie certainly shows one thing that Turkish film industry can produce good movies. i'd certainly recommend to see this movie to everyone

cheap script produced with a super-high budget

I think if someone wanted to write a script without using his/her brain, he or she would be able to write something no worse than this one. I give it a 5 out of 10. 5 for its production value which is stunning for a Turkish action movie ,and 0 for having nothing else but action. Unfortunately movies need a story to be shot, but this one was shot only for its action scenes. Someone compares this with Munich in way probably you would compare a cucumber to a peach... The conclusion I drew from the movie is that KVF is a cruel exploitation of a real tragedy. Because the situation there is a human issue rather than simply good vs evil. Beware this movie's ill-ideology (being oppressed justifies violent actions),and enjoy it bearing this in mind that it is nothing more than a movie made to fill some people's pockets.

Awesome action flick with superb gun shot sequences.

I am writing the review again as somehow my old review written in 2012 got deleted.

This film is jus like any action film which shud jus be enjoyed for its awesome action sequences.

I first saw this in 2012 on a dvd which i own.

    Revisited it recently.

    Its like Rambo on steroids.

Of course the body count aint anywhere close to Rambo 4.

The gun firing sequences r awesomely shot. The bombings, the chase, the mini war like sequence is top notch.

Action fans will rejoice. Some haters r finding it unbelievable that an elite group of only four soldiers wreak havoc on a sadist military group.

And the same group of haters rejoice when Bond, Xander Cage, Ethan Hunt, Rambo, etc. Single handedly take on huge armies.

Havent seen any of its prequel or sequel but looking forward to Valley of the Wolves : Homeland, as the trailer is awesome.

Mind you, this film is not against Jews or Israel.

It is jus an action film about one group of soliders taking on another group.

    I jus enjoyed the action.

    Boosts up Turkish movie standards

First of all I should like to congratulate players, director, producer and other staff and Pana Film those who put so much work in this movie. It almost grabs Hollywood peer's standards with regard to action and engage scenes. It encourages Turkish movie sector. It hits the perception that The Turkish movies have poor quality once the Bollywood's had the same. Bollywood has improved its quality for ten years and is just about second movie industry around the globe. With this movie I am convinced from now on that Turks will be able to produce more quality movies.

Staff paid attention every details that is not likely to expected average Turkish movie. Action and engage scenes are so fine. Sound was great. Frankly I expected to see somewhat longer version of series broadcast on TV.

Finally, I must tell this as a tank expert: Mr. Alemdar you cannot drive and fire Merkava at the same time which did Rambo the same mistake in Afghanistan and at least should have send Memati or Abdülhey to driver section :)

    Revenge on Screen ?

When an Elite Israeli special force team hit a humanitarian ship that was headed to Gaza (Palestinian) in International waters middle in the night with helicopters, 9 civilians were killed during heavy Israeli fire. All members of the boat were civilians, unarmed (not counting the sticks and kitchen knives) compared to the heavy artillery the Israeli soldiers had.

It created an enormous event in the Middle East; the media was all over it, especially in Turkey which has led to a political conflict between two countries.

The producers and creators of Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley of the Wolves) and the franchises of the series had announced to produce a movie which will tell the story of what happened that night. It was critically acclaimed so to say in the Middle East and released internationally. I'm one of the lucky ones who could watch this movie in Germany, which was first banned by FSK (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle Filmwirtschaft) for accused violence and political reasons. After an appeal the film was released for audience above the age of 18.

For those who have watched "Munich" before the story line what expects you is pretty much the same. 11 Israeli athletes were killed in 1972 during the Olympics in Munich and an Israeli special team was assembled to get revenge and kill the responsible ones for the attack.

In this movie you have the same element: Polat Alemdar and his men are going to find the persons responsible of the attack on the humanitarian ship, and punish them.

It brings the drama in Palestinian to screen; innocent killing and conflicts in Gaza. I myself found the level of violence and killing in some scene rather unnecessary. Avoiding some political references and lines would have made this movie lot better.

There were no obvious and bothering political messages in Munich, despite some of critics described the movie as an "Israeli propaganda movie". If you think the same as I am, you will not have a problem watching this movie.

Let me remind you it's not a 100 million dollar movie. It has a big budget compared to the production in the Middle East but you will see the difference in production and some authenticity flaws if you compare it to American blockbusters.

    • Trivia
The civilian ship that's raided by the army carried out on the orders of General Ben Eliezer is based on the real life Israeli raid of the Marvi Marmara Gaza Freedom Flotilla in 2010. The Marvi Marmara was filled with both international, Palestinian and Turkish aid volunteers and peace activists bringing much needed medical supplies and construction materials to Gaza in hopes of also breaking the Israeli blockade of Gaza. The Marmara was raided by Israeli Army as it reached Gaza's shores which led to the death of 9 aid volunteers mostly Turkish and the arrests of the crew and the remaining volunteers.
