Love It or List It fans are finding it hard to adjust to the show without Hilary Farr, the beloved host who announced her departure from the series in 2023 following a 19-season-long tenure. For years, HGTV fans had watched Farr sparring with her co-host, real estate agent David Visentin, on the hit home design show. Viewers quickly grew to love the dynamic between Farr and Visentin, making Love It or List It one of the network’s top shows. However, in 2023, Farr announced she’d be stepping back from the program. “I’ve given it so many years of my life. It’s got me through hard times. It’s got the audiences through hard times. It has evolved into a mainstay of people’s lives and it’s been incredibly gratifying. But now it’s time for me to move on and meet new challenges,” she told People at the time.

HGTV has a packed lineup of popular shows, from Dave and Jenny Marrs‘ Fixer to Fabulous to Ben and Erin Napier‘s Home Town to Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson‘s Married to Real Estate. However, some fans have noticed something missing from the network’s current slate. All those shows, including other popular series like Love It Or List It, Help! I Wrecked My House and The Flipping El Moussas are focused on interior renovations, construction, or real estate. That begs the question, what happened to all the gardening shows? HGTV, which stands for Home and Garden Television, once had several garden-focused shows, including Gardening by the Yard, Curb Appeal, Martha Knows Best, Calling All Gardeners, Gardener’s Journal, and more. But the current lineup is completely barren of gardening programming. Fans have noticed this and have taken to HGTV’s social media channels to sound off. In a...

Following Hilary Farr’s departure from the home makeover/real estate show after starring in 258 episodes, HGTV’s “Love It or List It” is officially returning for Season 20 with Page Turner stepping into the popular designer role.
Turner made her HGTV debut on “Flip or Flop Nashville,” and was a guest judge on “Rock the Block.” In “Love It or List It”s revamped season, Turner brings her competitive edge to go head-to-head with longtime real estate agent David Visentin during the eight newly ordered hour-long episodes. Farr was known for her friendly rivalry with Visentin.
