During a day that saw no less than Dolly Parton make her SXSW debut, the hottest ticket was arguably for Wet Leg, the Isle of Wight duo whose charmingly post-punk songs have made their upcoming album one of the most anticipated of the year. The line to see the band at Mohawk stretched all the way down Red River, but to those who made it past the door, the euphoric gig was worth the wait.

The plaudits for “Belfast” seem to be endless. They started in September at the Toronto film festival, where Kenneth Branagh’s coming-of-age-movie set in 1969 won the People’s Choice Award. And they’ve kept pouring in ever since, in the form of nominations from dozens of prominent critics groups and guilds. Earlier this month, SAG nominated the “Belfast” cast for best ensemble — in addition to singling out Caitriona Balfe for her impassioned turn as Ma, a no-nonsense mother of two boys caught in the crossfire of sectarian violence in Northern Ireland.
The sustained recognition Balfe has been enjoying has provided an unexpected second act to her “Belfast” experience (all while upping the Oscar buzz). “It’s been such a wild ride,” the actress told TheWrap. “When we started this journey a year ago, we were shooting during the pandemic. We never really knew what was going to become of this film.

Tiffany Haddish and Common have decided to call it quits after one year of dating. A source told People, "They are never in the same city together and both of them are just too busy for a serious relationship."
Their split comes after Tiffany confirmed the two were dating on Steve-o's podcast, Steve-o's Wild Ride, in August 2020. "I am in a relationship," she said. Tiffany even joked that the two could be twins in reference to their shaved heads. According to Tiffany, they met on the set of the film The Kitchen, and a friendship blossomed shortly after. Things got serious in April 2020 after they connected on Bumble - which, Tiffany told Popsugar, she recommends to all her friends. Earlier this year, Common even said that their relationship "evolved" him into the man he is now.

Tony Hawk recently discussed the worst injury of his career with Jackass star Steve-o. The professional skater appeared on an episode of MTV's Wildboyz in 2003, where he attempted the "Loop of Death," which is how the incident occurred. The show starred Jackass crew members Steve-o and Chris Pontius, along with cameos from Johnny Knoxville, Wee-Man, Manny Puig, Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man, and more. While Wildboyz only lasted for four seasons, it had a big impact on Jackass 2 and even the third installment, according to director Jeff Tremaine.
In a recent episode of Steve-o's Wild Ride podcast, Tony Hawk discussed his 2003 Wildboyz injury. As it turns out, the stunt was supposed to be Steve-o's but he shattered his ankle while performing a stunt involving a porta potty. So, Hawk came on board and decided to take on the "Loop of Death," which is also known as a full pipe in the world of skating.

Low Cut Connie have released a new video for “Wild Ride,” a track off their latest album, Private Lives.
The clip was directed by Sara Fox and pairs the slow-burning song with a sequence of equally smoldering and mysterious visuals. Throughout the clip, Low Cut Connie frontman Adam Weiner roams the streets of New York City while an unnamed woman waits at an empty bar, stares through stained glass at a subway stop, and then, at the end of the clip, lets out an anguished scream in the middle of a street.

Tremors: Island Fury, or Tremors: Shrieker Island as it’s now titled, is set for a direct-to-video release this October and to whet our appetites, we’ve now got the first official trailer for the next entry in the beloved series, which teases more of the same crazy fun that we’ve come to expect from Tremors.
Shrieker Island is the seventh movie instalment in the franchise and is set on an island resort. This time around, though, the Graboid invasion will come as a result of a rich playboy transporting the creatures off the mainland in order to host a trophy hunt. Of course, that sounds like a pretty terrible idea and it isn’t long before things go wrong, leading to the legendary Burt Gummer being called in for help.
For more, here’s the official synopsis:

The fight of the century might be happening in Jackass 4, as NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal wants to duke it out with Johnny Knoxville in the upcoming sequel. With Johnny and the gang all set to return, the movie will likely feature some special guest appearances from some of their famous pals, and Shaq clearly wants to be a part of the action. Speaking with Steve-o on the Jackass star's Steve-o's Wild Ride! podcast, Shaq suggested he wants to fight Johnny in a boxing match in Jackass 4, akin to Knoxville's brawl with Butterbean in the original Jackass movie.
"I want to box Johnny Knoxville, because I remember when he boxed Butterbean," Shaquille O'Neal says in a clip from the podcast, feigning anger at Knoxville over not inviting him to appear in the movie. Fortunately, Steve-o has Shaq's back, as he promises to text Johnny and the director as soon...

Stick a sword in Moloch, because he’s done.
Sleepy Hollow‘s midseason finale ended with a game-changing cliffhanger: Though Henry (Aka the Horseman of War) looked like he was going to skewer Ichabod with the Sword of Methuselah, he instead plunged it into Moloch’s chest, destroying the demon and effectively ending his fledgling reign on Earth.

Jess and Cece both want the same purse in this week’s New Girl.
You wouldn’t think that would lead the ladies, who have been friends since childhood, to a fight of cage-match proportions… but it does.
In this exclusive sneak peek at the episode, titled “Girl Fight,” star Hannah Simone details how the besties communicate their anger (apparently, “double syringes” are emoji you never want to see) and recounts how refreshing it was to take a punch to the face during filming.
“I don’t get to say that very often,” Simone muses.

Catch the pleasing first trailer as well as the poster for 50 to 1 starring Skeet Ulrich, Christian Kane and William Devane. This is the story about a misfit group of New Mexico cowboys who find themselves on the journey of a lifetime when their crooked-footed racehorse called Mine That Bird qualifies for the Kentucky Derby. The cowboys face a series of mishaps on their way to Churchill Downs, becoming the ultimate underdogs in a final showdown with the world’s racing elite. It's not Seabiscuit, or Disney's Secretariat, as well, it doesn't have the budget, nor is it as serious, but looks to be more lighthearted and fun. Jim Wilson, producer of various Kevin Costner films like Swing Vote, Mr. Brooks, The Postman, Wyatt Earp, The Bodyguard and Dances with Wolves, directs from a script he wrote with Faith Conroy.
