Armando Condolucci

First and foremost, this was my first foray into the world of Rolando Colla's films. Despite being unfamiliar with his previous work, this film strangely piqued my curiosity about his other projects.

I often say that we can't always explain to others why we love certain films because they touch upon specific points in our lives. This film had that effect on me, especially with its portrayal of a toxic father figure.

Initially, I assumed this film would be a simple summer flick based on its synopsis, and the first few minutes even reminded me of Enid Blyton stories. However, by the end, I felt it was a truly Italian film, despite the Swiss co-production credits in the information section.

Thanks to Bernd Schurer's music and Armando Condolucci's incredible acting, this film stands out as a rare gem in contemporary Italian cinema.
