Like group therapy

This movie spends 75 percent of it's time processes feelings and exploring group dynamics. If you enjoy watching people snip at each other and essentially troll one another for 90 minutes then this crappy movie is for you. It's boring. None of the kills are remotely interesting- they mainly happen to the game characters. So much exploration of race, mental illness, sexual exploitation, gender norms, sexual identity, etc. Definitely not my personal taste. The acting was decent- no one embarrassed themselves. Perhaps I couldn't relate to the movie because because I am not a gamer and don't watch streams like are presented in the movie. It's a pass for me.

Pretty good!

As a sequel to the short film Livescream - Livescreamers provides a satisfyingly expansion and meditation on the original ideas - diving deep into the trials and sins of what it means to be online personality in the internet age.

The strongest element of the film is by far it's human drama - every character has skeletons, and in a style similar to unfriended each character is slowly unravelled in a satisfying and cathartic way.

My personal drawbacks with the film came from the execution of the scares - more often than not the film is building tension as opposed to suspense, tying that to the films campy nature and you get more of a blood-splattered romp as opposed to a bone-chiller.

Where the film really starts to drag is in just that - it's a tad on the longer side and the predictable format of the film does have a negative impact by the end. There are a few twists down the road that keep the film alive but it's runtime really starts to grate against it's format.

All in all Livescreamers delivers on its offer!

People play a scary game. Bad things happen 👍

Great Follow Up that Ramps It Up the Horror

Too politically charged

Despite of its flaws, and there are plenty character driven flaws, I did enjoy this movie. The first one was a bit better though. It lacked all the entitled self-righteous messages and dialogue that this one is packed with.

This movie, as one reviewer put it, is a group therapy session with all the usual suspects.

Individuals mysteriously die and all these kids do is point fingers and whine "poor me".

This has all the ingredients of an entertaining horror if it weren't for the above, it takes away from the horror aspect of working together through the unknown to just pointing fingers and trying to relate with "modern social issues".
