Veep (2012)

Veep

FAQ

No one has answered this question yet.

This is never explicitly revealed in the show, however various details make it reasonably clear she is a Democrat. In the first season, these were limited to the fact she's from Maryland and some positions that tend more to the Democratic side. The second season opener made it much clearer she is a Democrat, as the state-by-state results of the congressional midterm elections had Selina's party winning states that are generally Democratic and vice-versa for the other party. In later episodes, the show's creators ceased attempting to avoid Selina taking obviously Democratic issue positions, and the Presidential election results at the end of Season 4 broke along what are obviously Democratic and Republican lines, with Selina winning the blue states.
