Lindsey Gordon is exiting her post at MGM Television.

Previously MGM’s senior vice president of unscripted development, Gordon is transitioning to independent producer and under a new overall deal, will now develop and produce original series for the studio.

“It has been a great honor to be part of the MGM Television team for the last three years and to have worked with Mark for almost seven now,” said Gordon in a statement. “Together, we have created and executed many projects that I am proud of and I look forward to continuing that work with this partnership.”

Gordon joined Mark Burnett Productions in 2011 and stayed with the team through the acquisition by MGM. She has worked closely with MGM’s Mark Burnett, chairman of the worldwide television group, and Barry Poznick, president of unscripted television.

"Star Wars" came to "Hollywood Treasure" (Tue., 10 p.m. Et on Syfy) Tuesday night as auctioneer Joe Maddalena got his hands on a camera that was used to shoot the first in the epic movie franchise.

"Star Wars" star Carrie Fisher’s brother Todd brought him the Panavision camera, and Todd knew it was valuable. So valuable, in fact, that he set his own high reserve price: "I want you to give me a guarantee of $100,000."

Todd also threw in a green dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in "Bus Stop." The dress fetched a whopping $230,000 at auction, but that seemed like chump change compared to the sale price for the camera.

How much for a piece of "Star Wars" history? It sold for a jaw-dropping $520,000, which, Maddalena said, made it "the most expensive 'Star Wars' collectible item of all time"

Maybe some of that movie storytelling magic is rubbing off, because Syfy's "Hollywood Treasure" launches its new season on Tuesday, May 22, by spotlighting the Holy Grail of Tinseltown collectibles: Dorothy's ruby slippers from "The Wizard of Oz."

As most "Oz" fans know, there actually is a handful of known pairs of these slippers, including an Arabian-style pair never used in the film that were auctioned off last season as part of Debbie Reynolds' collection. But the footwear that Joe Maddalena, owner of Profiles in History, auctions in this new episode is the pair shown when Judy Garland's Dorothy clicks her heels together to go home.

The small North Carolina village that doubled as District 12 in The Hunger Games is up for auction after failing to sell on the property market.

The Henry River Mill Village, which was abandoned in 1987, was put up for grabs at $1.4 million (£880,000) earlier this year because owner Wade Shepherd was tired of tourists visiting the movie set "day and night".

Joe Maddalena, the owner of Hollywood auction house Profiles in History, has since acquired the Henry River Mill Village property, which will be auctioned off via sealed bids with a bidding deadline of 31 July.

The property is valued in excess of $1.2 million (£750,000).

Maddalena tells WENN, "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

The auction boss' acquisition of the District 12 site will feature on an upcoming episode of reality TV show Hollywood Treasure.

He adds, "The property exists exactly as it is seen in the film, from the bakery owned by Peeta Mellark’s family to the house where Katniss Everdeen and her sister Prim lived. It is all there. Production came into the town and shot directly on site and didn’t need to change a thing."...

Syfy sent out a press release announcing its summer programming slate, and in addition to popular returning series "Eureka" (July 11th), "Warehouse 13" (July 11th), "Ghost Hunters International" (July 13th), and "Haven" (July 15th), some new blood is on tap.

The line-up includes a pair of new reality shows, a new superhero program, a live-action movie based on the popular Red Faction video game, and you just knew there had to be at least one new killer shark movie included in there somewhere.

Moviefone was lucky enough to check out 'Profiles in History' (a dealer in original historical autographs, letters, documents, vintage signed photographs and manuscripts) over in Calabasas, Calif., and meet with Joe Maddalena, the star of the new SyFy reality series 'Hollywood Treasure' and the worlds largest auctioneer of original movie, television and pop culture collectibles. We got to check out props from his upcoming auction, including a life-sized replica of Johnny Depp from 'Edward Scissorhands,' a T-600 puppet from 'Terminator Salvation,' a Santa with his sleigh from 'Miracle on 34th Street' and a 'The Wizard of Oz' book signed by the entire cast.

'Hollywood Treasure' airs Wednesdays at 10pm and 10:30pm Et on Syfy. Don't miss a special Christmas-themed episode airing Dec. 8, immediately followed by the show's mid-season finale at 10:30pm.

Fans of SyFy’s canceled Battlestar Galactica prequel series, Caprica, will be happy to know that the final five episodes of the series’ season 1.5 will be televised back-to-back in January 2011. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 4th at 6pm Et, folks.

Executive producer David Eick was surprised that the show fell to the cancelation ax and that the network would pull the remaining episodes from their scheduled air times this month:

“I understand that these are rarely simple decisions and I know the current leadership at Syfy genuinely loved the show and were hell-bent on protecting it and seeing it succeed. Caprica was an extremely smart, unique show and it’ll take quite some time for me to get used to the idea that it’s really gone.”

Syfy rewarded three of its reality shows with extensions. Ghost Hunters International, which has been drawing nearly 2 million viewers per episode, will get a third season. Fact or Fakes: Paranormal Files, about a team of experts who examine fascinating paranormal videos, has been renewed for a second season. The show premiered last summer and averaged just under one million total viewers. Hollywood Treasure, which chronicles the pop-cultural collectible business of Joe Maddalena, has been drawing 1.2 million viewers since premiering in October, will air an additional 12 more new episodes this season.

A promotional video for a new SyFy show has revealed that Stan Lee may unknowingly possess lost Silver Age artwork. The clip from the new show Hollywood Treasure shows a surprised Lee presented with complete original artwork from Fantastic Four #12, which featured the Hulk, making it Marvel's first ever crossover. Comicbookmovie.com spotted this footage of a Syfy interview with Stan Lee that shows Stan's reaction to seeing some of Jack Kirby's original artwork from the early days of Marvel.  Stan didn't know what he was about to be shown, and he reveals that this is the first time he's seen original artwork with his own notes to Jack still intact.  The footage is an extended version of an interview by Joe Maddalena for the Syfy series Hollywood Treasure.

"Maddalena had gotten his hands on the original artwork to Fantastic Four #12 from 1963, which featured the first meeting of the Hulk and the Fantastic Four and is apparently the first crossover in the Marvel Universe ever." ...
