Allen Media Group Greenlights ‘Justice for the People With Judge Milian’

Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group has greenlit “Justice for the People with Judge Milian,” a new daily one-hour court series that will debut in fall 2023 on broadcast television stations nationwide.

The first Hispanic arbitrator to preside over an English-language American court series, Judge Marilyn Milian completed her 22nd season of “The People’s Court” prior to its cancellation — making her the longest-presiding judge of the iconic courtroom series. Milian replaced Jerry Sheindlin as judge of “The People’s Court” in 2001.

During Milian’s 22 seasons as host and judge, the show was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program 15 times and won 4 times – the most wins in the court show genre.

Days After Cancellation, Judge Greg Mathis Announces Return to TV With ‘Mathis Court’ in Fall 2023

Just days after Warner Bros. announced the cancellation of “Judge Mathis” after 24 seasons, Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group has scooped up the services of Judge Greg Mathis to host a new first-run one-hour strip for fall 2023.

“Mathis Court with Judge Mathis” has been given a “firm go” by Allen Media Group, which is now pitching the show for broadcast, cable and distribution platforms.

In addition to broadcast syndication, the show will join Allen Media Group’s eight court series are carried on its television network Justice Central, available in more than 50 million U.S. homes. Court is back in session for Judge Greg Mathis as the TV personality has found a new home with Allen Media Group.

The Byron Allen-owned media giant has given a “firm go” for the production and launches of its 72nd and newest HD television series “Mathis Court with Judge Mathis.”

The new court series is a daily one-hour strip for fall 2023, available to broadcast television stations, as well as global network, cable and digital distribution platforms.

“Justice for All With Judge Cristina Perez” has been renewed for seven more seasons following its Season 9 premiere earlier this month, Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios said Tuesday.

The multi-year renewal for Perez’s daily half-hour syndicated courtroom show follows the 7-season pickup that “America’s Court With Judge Ross” received from Entertainment Studios earlier this month.

“Justice for All With Judge Cristina Perez,” which premiered in September 2012 and is now set to run through at least Fall 2027, features Cristina Perez, the first Latina judge to cross over from Spanish-language to English-language television, presiding over cases.

Perez’s courtroom series has clearances on both independent and network group-owned stations in more than 90% of U.S. television markets and is also featured on Allen’s 24/7 HD television network, Justice Central.TV.

“America’s Court With Judge Ross” has been renewed for seven more seasons following its Season 11 premiere last week, Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios said Monday.

The daily half-hour syndicated courtroom show, which premiered in September 2010 and is now set to run through at least Fall 2027, features former Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Kevin A. Ross presiding over cases.

The show has clearances on both independent and network group-owned stations in more than 90% of U.S. television markets and is also featured on Allen’s 24/7 HD television network, Justice Central.TV.

In 2012, “America’s Court With Judge Ross” was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program.
