I enjoy Power Rangers in virtually any medium it comes in. Naturally, I watch the television series like any other fan, but I also love the superb comic books; I'm among the few who truly appreciated the online tabletop RPG Power Ranger Hyperforce, and I've played and enjoyed plenty of the admittedly awful Power Rangers video games. When it comes to the movies, I grew up with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, but while nostalgic, neither of these films hold a handle to Power Rangers (2017).

While it was a box office and critical flop, the 2017 Power Rangers movie is a masterpiece and a more open mind from fans could have turned it into a franchise.

The 1990s were a good time to be a fan of Japanese pop culture. After the '80s made gamers out of millions of kids thanks to Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, it was the '90s when anime started to become mainstream in the U.S. (even if kids didn't know it at the time) thanks to "Pokémon" becoming a worldwide cultural phenomenon. (That and "Sailor Moon" and "Dragon Ball Z" turning kids and teens into lifelong fans of the medium.)

But it wasn't just animation. In live-action, "Power Rangers" brought tokusatsu fun to the West and started a hugely influential superhero franchise that, yes, is still very good. Created by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy in collaboration with Shotaro Ishinomori, the long-running property is mostly made out of reused footage from Ishinomori's iconic tokusatsu series "Super Sentai." It revolves around a team of youths trained to morph into...

When the production rights to Power Rangers were bought back by Saban Brands in 2010, fans were excited to see the first series of the New Saban Era. Power Rangers Samurai was adapted from the Japanese tokusatsu series Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, following a team of Rangers based around the themes of samurai and family legacy. Both Samurai and Shinkenger are notable for being the first entry in their respective series to be shot in HD.

While Power Rangers Samurai wasn't as great as many fans hoped for, there were a lot of great elements. Notably, Samurai was the season that put Power Rangers back on the map, introducing a whole new generation of fans to the franchise. Across its two seasons, Power Rangers Samurai featured some great fight scenes, some in terms of their choreography or camera work, and others for their emotional stakes in the story.

For 30 years, the Power Rangers franchise has delivered fun, action-packed adventures following a team of multi-colored heroes defending the earth from evil. After the third season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, the franchise began adapting new Super Sentai (the Japanese tokusatsu series) series for Power Rangers, introducing new suits, zords, and after Power Rangers In Space, a new cast every year. While the average Power Rangers team consists of five Rangers, with the sixth Ranger being introduced later on, some series featured a larger Ranger team.

Power Rangers S.P.D. was the first series to feature more than six Rangers consistently as part of the team. After that, Power Rangers continued to feature larger amounts of Rangers throughout the Disney era, the New Saban era, and the Hasbro era. The Power Rangers franchise has run for 30 years, with new teams, characters, suits, weapons, and themes being regularly introduced. With over 100 characters taking up the Ranger mantle, it's easy for them all to blur together. While the Red Ranger always tends to get the most focus in their respective series, there is underrated value in the Green Ranger.

The Red, Blue, and Yellow Rangers are consistent members of almost every iteration of the Power Rangers, but the Green Rangers come up slightly less often, with Power Rangers In Space, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, Operation Overdrive, Ninja Steel, and Beast Morphers not featuring Green Rangers in their team lineup. The Green Ranger often plays a less typical role in their team, sometimes being the smart one, sometimes being the comic relief, but from Tommy Oliver to Izzy Garcia, the Green Ranger is always a strong addition to any Power Rangers team.

Power Rangers has been going strong for 30 years, with continuity divided into five different eras since 1993. The New Saban Era and the Hasbro Era are the last two stages of this franchise, and they constitute the last 14 years of Power Rangers shows. Although some believe these eras are the worst of the franchisewith the franchise's popularity fading over time after the 2000sthey feature plenty of Power Rangers series worth watching.

Series like Power Rangers Megaforce or Power Rangers Cosmic Fury keep the Power Rangers tradition alive and honor its past while also reinventing the franchise for modern sensibilities. As with everything, some of these series aren't as great as others, but all of them shine somehow.

Of Power Rangers' four eras, two have been produced by Saban. The first era of Power Rangers, the Saban Era, begins with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 and ends with Power Rangers Time Force. The Neo-Saban Era, meanwhile, is the third era of the franchise, and runs from Power Rangers Samurai through Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.

Both the Saban and Neo-Saban Eras of Powers Rangers are mixed bags. Both contain seasons which are heavily flawed, and fan-favorites that are viewed as all-time greats. Per Entertainment Weekly, Hector David Jr., who is listed under the stage name Hector David Rivera, is currently wanted by Idaho State Police as the prime suspect in an attack on an elderly man this past Friday. In a video published on July 26 by the Nampa Police Department, the victim is seen making his way across a parking lot with the assistance of a walker. He is followed by the suspect before being allegedly pushed to the ground and yelled at. The suspect then gets in his truck, which reportedly bears Texas license plates. Nampa Police Department noted in their statement that the altercation came about after an argument over parking.

Actor Hector David Rivera, known for his role as the Green Power Ranger in the popular franchise, has been accused of shoving an elderly man in a battery case in Nampa, Idaho.

According to the local authorities, the incident occurred on July 26, when surveillance footage showed a suspect approaching and pushing an individual in his 60s, causing both the man and his walker to fall to the ground. The suspect was then seen briefly speaking to the man on the ground before fleeing the scene in a truck with a Texas license plate.

After the footage was released to the community with a plea for help identifying the suspect, the Nampa police have confirmed that Rivera, who goes by the stage name Hector David Jr., is believed to be responsible for the altercation.

Police in Idaho have issued an arrest warrant for Hector David Jr., an actor who starred as the Green Ranger in several Power Rangers series, in connection with the assault of an elderly man.

Ktvb 7 reported Wednesday that David, also known as Hector David Rivera, is accused of shoving an elderly man to the ground after an argument in a parking lot in Nampa, Idaho. A video posted by the Nampa Police Department’s Facebook page shows the incident and allegedly shows the 35-year-old pushing a man in his 60s to the ground before driving off. The elderly man was not injured.

David played the Green Samurai Ranger from 2011 to 2015 in various Power Rangers media, including the television shows Power Rangers Samurai, Power Rangers Megaforce and the TV movie Power Rangers Super Megaforce: The Legendary Battle.

Ktvb 7 reports that since the incident, David has deleted all of his social media.

Police said the man was not injured and a witness helped the victim from the ground.

"The Master Returns" does its level best to cram in as much plot as possible into this episode.

Following the controversial installments of Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Megaforce, Power Rangers Dino Charge was a return to form for the Power Rangers franchise. Spearheaded by the returning Chip Lynn as the head writer, both Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Dino Supercharge feature strong stories, a wonderful cast, awesome Zord action, and a host of lovable characters.

Dino Charge is one of the best Power Rangers seasons of the 2010s, with some of the strongest episodes. Characters like Tyler, Shelby, Ivan, and Koda are all-time great Rangers, while Sledge and Heckyl rank among the franchise's best villains, with all of them receiving spectacular storylines. Not every episode of the two seasons is a winner, especially in Super Charge, but both contain plenty of stand-outs.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always revisited several classic Power Rangers characters, including fan-favorites Bulk and Skull. Bulk (Paul Schrier) and Skull (Jason Narvy) have been a major part of the Power Rangers universe since its inception with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Serving as Power Rangers’ comic relief, Bulk and Sull created an impressive legacy within the Power Rangers franchise.

Unlike previous Power Rangers anniversary crossovers, Power Rangers: Once & Always's Easter eggs were mostly focused on the Mighty Morphin era. The Power Rangers reunion saw the returns of Zordon’s pupils and revisited iconic locations, such as Angel Grove. No one believed that the Japanese-based show would skyrocket into success. With millions of dollars in revenue coming in from merchandise alone, they decided to keep the ball rolling. Over the years, with changes in ownership and adapting new storylines, not all series did well. Power Rangers will celebrate its 30th season next year and it’s tackling this anniversary season with a true throwback to the past For most of its life, each new Power Rangers season would feature a completely new cast, story line, and a new adaption of a Japanese Super Sentai series. This somewhat changed starting in 2011 with Power Rangers Samurai where the traditional season was broken into two smaller seasons but it was still business as usual. The only seasons that carried over a large majority of their casts were the first five, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, and Power Rangers in Space.

Power Rangers is a legacy, joining a very small list of shows that run for such a long period of time, over 28 years! Throughout that time, the series has had its ups, its downs, and its mehs. I’ve been watching since the ripe age of 2 and have always loved the series, even in some of its more questionable moments.

But where does each season rank? With so many entries which ones stand as the best of the best of the best or which one and is a super mega dud? After a rewatch of all the seasons I ranked them all from worst to best with a little explanation of why they ended up where they did.

Quick note: I’m not including the “Mmpr Reversioning” as a season. It’s just a few Photoshop effects over a smattering of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 episodes, and it’s nothing to write home about.

Simon Bennett, director of many past episodes, has just revealed he’s the new Ep of Power Rangers.

The Power Rangers franchise may be about to see some big changes. Ever since 2015 Judd "Chip" Lynn has been executive producer on the franchise, overseeing Dino Charge, Ninja Steel, and Beast Morphers. While he wasn’t the only executive producer on those season he was the one who had a large portion of control over the show, working with the cast and crew on nearly every level of production. Now it’s being reported that Lynn won’t be the only executive producer working on the series in New Zealand.

Thanks to The Power Scoop via No Pink Spandex, we’ve learned that Simon Bennett (director of various Ninja Steel and Beast Morphers episodes) has, as his IMDb profile states, ”taken over the reins as Ep of Hasbro's famed Power Rangers TV series.

Medina, who lives in Green Valley, California, entered the plea to one felony count of voluntary manslaughter and admitted in court to using a sword in the killing, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Medina, 38, had faced a murder charge in the death of roommate Josh Sutter before he pleaded to the lesser count.

He previously denied the murder accusation, and his attorney has said it was self-defense.
