I struggle with addiction (fortunately, the social media kind, rather than chemical).
This movie helped me imagine what one extreme of my behavior would be like (short-sighted behavior in general, not just what was depicted).
Unfortunately, I believe this was not the purpose of the movie. I was expecting a laugh, but got just a few chuckles in what felt like a fever dream of repugnant behavior.
The problem was, I could relate with the characters. I never expected this to be a problem in a movie, but here the situations were not a laughing matter. I could not get through it.
Overall, I feel conflicted. I thank it for the motivation to get my life in order. But I did not find it funny. I found it a notch too realistic.

I saw the cast and thought "wow that's actually probably a pretty good movie, how did it only get 5.3 stars on IMdB" Then I watched it and literally couldn't even finish it. Now I'm thinking "damn how did this movie really get a 5.3"
I couldn't decide which was worse, the acting by half of the characters or the writing of the entire movie. You can watch it if you want to see for yourself but don't waste your time if you're looking for something you can watch and walk away saying yeah I'm glad I watched that.

I had to read about this movie after watching as throughout it from start to finish there is just something odd about it. To my surprise I discovered the film is mostly improvised.
The cast (which includes some notable names) pulls this odd ball story off with great success! For improvised dialog it all fits and shows what a skilled cast can achieve.
The movie starts with each character only focused on their personal needs and with little concern for others. Fitz (the main character)has made a mess of his life but has a girl that loves him - unfortunately for Fitz he can't see this. Through a series of 'events' Fitz escapes to visit his father. At the 'Berlin Bar' Fitz learns his lesson and heads back to his girl. The others also learn a life lesson.
This is a simple story nicely told and bravo to the actors! There are a few slow moments but the movie is most entertaining!
