NBC might be starting a new trend after reviving multiple popular shows from USA Network's past. After recently giving Suits a new offshoot in the form of Suits LA, it has since been reported that Royal Pains will also be revived by NBC.

Now, actor Bruce Campbell has suggested that Burn Noticeshould be next on NBC's list of USA Network shows to reboot. Once the Royal Pains news started making the rounds, Campbell took to X to share his response to the announcement. Including an image of himself as his Burn Notice character, Sam Axe, Campbell wrote in a post, "Okay, Suits is a go. Now this. Burn Notice reboot anyone?" The post generated over 10K likes.

Bruce Campbell Would Return as Sam Axe 'in a Second' for a Burn Notice Spinoff
Image
Bruce Campbell is ready for a Burn Notice spinoff. The actor, who starred as retired covert operative and former Navy Seal Sam Axe in all seven seasons of the USA Network series, recently shared that he is down to appear in a new project set in the universe.

"Give me a buzz, man," said Campbell while speaking to Collider at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. "Heck yeah, Sam Axe, in a second." While there are currently no official plans for a Burn Notice sequel, the original series did end on a rather open-ended note regarding Axes next moves, leaving plenty of room for a potential spin-off. Campbell even shared what he believed his character would currently be up to, saying, "Sam [Axe] would be in Key Largo winning the Hemingway lookalike contest with a big beard because hes got nothing to do now. Grow a beard and imitate Hemingway."

Pedro Pascal Teased His Star Power in This TV Movie With Bruce Campbell
Image
Several years back, Pedro Pascal and Bruce Campbell starred in the same film, and it is a fun, humor-laced jaunt through the jungles of Colombia inspired by the popular spy series Burn Notice. Released in 2011, Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe is a movie-length iteration of the Jeffrey Donovan-led show whose pulpy approach to intercontinental espionage is greatly enlivened by a keen sense of humor and the ever-sardonic Bruce Campbell in the lead as the wily Navy Seal Axe. 'Commander' actually. Pascal had a number of guest parts on popular TV shows to his name circa the release of the film, and his significant supporting part here serves as a prime indicator of the powerful screen presence he would consistently put to use in major productions years later.

The 'Burn Notice' Prequel Saw Pedro Pascal Face Off Against Bruce Campbell
Image
Prior to becoming one of the hottest and most in-demand actors on the planet with The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, actor Pedro Pascal was a working actor on many television projects. Pascal appeared in notable shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Nurse Jackie, and a little show called Burn Notice, before becoming a household name. Pascal’s Burn Notice episode was a television spinoff movie event that aired between the show’s fourth and fifth seasons. Titled Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe, the feature-length movie tells the story of one Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell) during his days as a Navy Seal and the circumstances that led to his residence in Miami as part of the series. In addition, Pascal was the villain in this show, pitting him against the legendary Evil Dead star.

'Great Wall' Lines Up 'Game of Thrones' Star Pedro Pascal
Pedro Pascal, who is best known as Oberyn Martell (a.k.a. The Red Viper) on HBO's Game of Thrones, is in negotiations to join Legendary's Untitled Great Wall Project. Matt Damon is still in talks to star, after entering negotiations back in September. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston was also in talks to sign on back in September, but negotiations broke down and he is no longer involved. The project will mark the English-language directing debut for Chinese filmmaker Yimou Zhang (Hero).

The story will follow an elite force making a last stand for humanity on the Great Wall of China. Earlier reports revealed that the story will delve into the history of the Great Wall, and the dark secrets that are hid under the massive structure. The plot centers on a group of 15th Century British soldiers who come across the wall as it's being built, as they...

Burn Notice: 4 Reasons Why It’s Right To End
Beware, spoilers from the start.

Burn Notice is finally coming to an end on September 12th. Don’t get me wrong, for I am an avid fan of the series, it is easily one of my favourite shows currently on television, I do not want the series to end due to my own selfish reasons, but I do believe it is the right decision by the staff, it is better to go out strong rather than fade away.

Matt Nix’s series idealises a contemporary take on action vehicles of the 90′s, such as The A-Team and MacGyver, and has proved immensely popular with the series still competing strongly in the ratings table.

Burn Notice follows Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan), a wrongly discredited spy, trying to figure out why he was ‘burned’ by the CIA and who was behind it, teamed with his on-off girlfriend and gun runner Fiona Glenanne...

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Comic-Con 2011 Recap: 158 Exclusive Interviews, 135 Stories, and 308 Videos
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
It's been one full week since a billion sexy nerds descended upon San Diego for their annual Comic-Con event, which has become the premiere Hollywood launching pad for just about everything in the way of entertainment. This was a strange year, as no one property walked away from the grit, glitz, glamour, and geek sweat of the experience better for showing off its wares to what has become a very bored public.

It's true. If Comic-Con 2011 will be remembered for anything, it's the ennui that lingered around most attendees like the stench of the dead. They didn't want to be impressed, and even the Twihards stayed quiet when it came to their precious The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1. Maybe that's because, four years into the franchise, they know damn well what they're going to get. There was an enthusiastic showing, one of the biggest ever, for Glee's Hall H presentation.

Burn Notice Episode 5.6 Review: Michael Lets Chuck Finley Twist In The Wind
Apologies to my weekly Burn Notice readers, due to Comic-Con I had to catch up with Michael Weston and crew this week with a double-header. However make sure you do check out our coverage of Matt Nix and Bruce Campbell being interviewed by Buzzfocus here and this video interview here who came to Comic-Con to promote the DVD/Blu-Ray release of Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe. This week in “Enemy of My Enemy,” Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and crew took on Serbian arms dealers who paid a large sum of money for a U.S. military-grade weapon drone. Michael comes up with a high-risk sting that puts Sam (Campbell) in harm’s way, undercover as a planted asset to string Miami’s second biggest heroin dealer, Carmelo Dante (Todd Stashwick) along to flush out the Serbs with his army of henchmen. This plan should have been met with an...

Comic-Con 2011: Burn Notice: The Fall Of Sam Axe; Plus, Bruce Campbell Talks Evil Dead 4
Fan-favorite Bruce Campbell had pages of one-liners ready as he took the stage alongside Burn Notice creator, Matt Nix. Always charismatic (and dressed boldly in a white sport coat, pink shirt and green pants) Campbell was on hand to joke with the crowd and talk about Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe. Although the USA made-for-tv movie debuted on the network this past April, it’s now available on Blu-ray and DVD exclusively at Comic Con. While fans of Burn Notice will be happy to know that the series has been extended for season six, fans of Bruce Campbell (Sam Axe) will want to keep reading. Recently, Campbell tweeted about the progress of Evil Dead 4 but has said little else since then. He addressed the “elephant in the room” right off the bat. Hit the jump to see what he said. To quote Bruce Campbell about the status of...

Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, and Jeffrey Donovan in Burn Notice (2007)
While the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con was ostensibly holding a presentation for the new TV movie "Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe," the 5,000 or so fans who lined up (reportedly beginning before 5 a.m.) were clearly there to see its star, Bruce Campbell. The "Evil Dead" star chatted with "Burn Notice" creator Matt Nix about the show, but mostly he played to the crowd, chucking DVDs into the audience, cracking jokes and soaking up the love.   Campbell cracked wise about the process of having his "Burn Notice" co-star Jeffrey Donavan direct him on the new project. Comic-Con 2011: Schedules Announced for Preview Night and Thursday, July 21st; Includes Breaking Dawn, Drive, and Game Of Thrones
Comic-Con has announced the schedule for Preview Night (Wednesday, July 20th) and the Thursday that officially opens the Con. While Preview Night is usually a chance for attendees to roam the floor of the exhibitors and trample each other for swag, this year's preview night will be hosting world premiere pilot screenings of Alcatraz, Person of Interest, The Secret Circle, and Supernatural: The Anime Series. I don't care about the last two, but since Alcatraz and Person of Interest both come form J.J. Abrams, I imagine they'll be packed. As for Thursday, Hall H belongs to (in chronological order): The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Arthur Christmas, The Pirates! Band of Misfits, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Drive, an unannounced line-up from 20th Century Fox (expect Rise of the Planet of the Apes), a sneak peek at Robert Rodriguez' upcoming films (yawn), and a discussion between Guillermo del Toro and Jon Favreau.

‘Burn Notice’ Season 5 Villain Is WWE’s The Big Show
The cast of Burn Notice is about to get remarkably larger. Super-sized wrestler The Big Show is slated to make a guest appearance on the highly rated action-drama as one of the new bad guys.

Standing at a staggering 7 ft. and weighing in at a colossal 485 lbs., The Big Show (Paul Donald Wight Jr.) is billed as ‘The Largest Athlete in the World’, and now he is the biggest foe Michael Westen and his band of do-gooders have ever faced.

TV Review: Average Action in USA’s ‘Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe’
Chicago – My love affair with USA’s “Burn Notice” has been rocky at best. During the second season, it felt like a show that could really blossom into one of the best on cable, but it kind of plateaued a bit in the third season and has been a solid-if-unspectacular program since, never quite living up to its potential while still being entertaining. TV Rating: 3.0/5.0

Having been a longtime fan of the “Evil Dead” fans and enough of a Bruce Campbell admirer to have not only seen “Man with the Screaming Brain” but have read his autobiography (“If Chins Could Kill”), I love that “Burn Notice” has brought him to a different, wider audience and was thrilled at the idea of a Campbell movie appearing somewhere other than SyFy.
