Serena Williams knows how to party!
The 36-year-old tennis pro married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Thursday, and a source tells Et that it was a wedding to remember.
The source called the Beauty and the Beast-themed nuptials “magical,” and said the reception was equally "beautiful.”
"The crowd was roaring," the source said. "Everyone had a blast.”

Once Williams and Ohanian said their "I dos," that's when the bride really cut loose! According to Et's source, Williams wore a pair of Nike sneakers made "especially for her" to the reception and for good reason -- seeing as "she danced all night.”
But she wasn't dancing alone! The source noted that at one point in the evening Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, La La Anthony, Ciara, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker were all "dancing hard" with Williams.

Fact: These works of art are the reason we stayed glued to our TVs for hours on end — with the sole purpose of having the Backstreet Boys‘ matching outfits and Hanson’s glorious hair grace our screens.

Walking together in slow motion; a private plane just kinda chilling there; all-white outfits; a crowd of adoring fans and endless heartfelt looks into the camera? This is 1999 at its finest.

Archie may have been born as a comic book character, but it was Greg Berlanti and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa who gave him a superhero physique. That is not a critique, but it is perhaps the first thing you might notice about the CW’s new take on the 76-year-old all-American high schooler, now making his live action television debut.
Read More: ‘Riverdale’: CW’s Lynchian Archie Just Missed Becoming a Time-Travel Show Starring Louis C.K.
“Riverdale” could be seen as a “Island of Doctor Moreau”-esque attempt to cross-breed the DC TV universe currently thriving on the CW with a “Gossip Girl”-style teen drama made which was so popular in the CW’s early days. In fact, that might be the easiest way to describe it. And yet there’s just enough happening underneath the surface to make it worthy of deeper study. This is no zombie corpse of a comic book adaptation.

For anyone who’s been introduced to the world of cults through “Going Clear” (Lawrence Wright’s book or Alex Gibney’s documentary inspired by it), “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” or other, less celebrity-focused “movements,” the second season of “The Path” should serve as an ideal next step in learning how to think about the dangerous, addictive, and often completely legal faith organizations. Parallels to Scientology abound, especially when acquiring tax-exempt status drives the narrative.
But Season 2, like its stellar predecessor, isn’t trying to be a Scientology story. It’s not even primarily a cult story. Instead of aiming to recreate true events within its fictional world, Hulu’s compelling drama connects big bad cults and accepted religious institutions. Its subtle and direct threads carry immense power when tied together, making Season 2 neither a condemnation nor an endorsement of faith, but a call to see the light...

[Editor’s Note: “Girl, I must warn you…” this review will make liberal use of New Edition, Bobby Brown, and Bell Biv Devoe song titles and lyrics. Why? That’s “My Prerogative.”]
It may seem like a stretch to compare Bet’s “The New Edition Story” to the critically acclaimed biopic “Straight Outta Compton.” After all, N.W.A.’s gangsta rap courted controversy while New Edition’s lyrics only got salty when they accused “Mr. Telephone Man” of a faulty connection. Nevertheless, just as N.W.A. shaped hip-hop, the miniseries gives rightful context to how influential New Edition was on its own. Styled as a New Edition of the Jackson 5, the group perfected the model for all the boy bands to come, including New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men, ’N Sync, and the Backstreet Boys. They also successfully transitioned from the bubble gum style of their early songs to becoming pioneers of New Jack Swing.

As with N.W.A., the drama of just being in New Edition is part of the story’s trainwreck/bootstrap appeal.

Despite recent rumors of ill health, Bobby Brown was in high spirits when he appeared at the Boston premiere of the Bet miniseries The New Edition Story on Sunday. In fact, he was far more concerned about the snow grounding his flight back to the decidedly sunnier California.
“I really want to get back to Los Angeles,” he told People. “My kid has to go to school tomorrow, so I’ve got to get a plane.” The 47-year-old former boy bander recently became a father for the seventh time when wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown gave birth to daughter Hendrix Estelle Sheba in July.

I was so stunned by the election I just couldn’t bring myself to write a damn thing for the last few weeks. Hell, in the case of Bleeding Cool it’s been months that I blame on my depression and trying to figure out how to fix a problem no one sees yet but with depression I couldn’t care less.
Then something magical happened. Call it a Thanksgiving comic book miracle. It was no less than that. So I hope to be reset at Bleeding Cool, ComicMix and my site Michael Davis World. Mdw had an outstanding and loyal following.
I messed that up big time a week after I began talks to partner with a massive site. Shit. That was stupid.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. My depression was/is a motherfucker.
Once I become fixated on something I just kept at it regardless if I’d achieved my goals.

A few weeks back, Aquaman actor Jason Momoa revealed to the world that principal photography on Justice League wrapped in London, but dropped a hint that he still had a small amount of additional shooting to do. It would now appear that Momoa wasn't alone, as whatever the actor had to film in Iceland also apparently included Ben Affleck (Batman). Either that, or an unshaven Affleck just felt like dropping by the Iceland leg of the shoot to make sure director Zack Snyder didn't screw things up.
Momoa took to Instagram over the weekend to post pictures from what is- presumably- the final bit of filming for Justice League. Rumors have swirled that whatever was being shot up there was either for the Aquaman solo movie, or for a post-credit sequence for Justice League that would set that solo film up.

Chicago – Singer Bobby Brown has been all over the news of late, mostly because of the new memoir he’s authored (with Nick Chiles) called “Every Little Step.” He aims to set the record straight on his tumultuous career, especially regarding his marriage with the late Whitney Houston, which culminated when they split in 2007.

Right wing conservatives finally have their answer to Michael Moore — with the box-office numbers to prove it.
After many years of conservative stumbles at the movies — i.e. “Michael Moore Hates America,” “Celsius 41.11,” “Cool It,” “Occupy Unmasked” — author-turned-filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza has blazed a trail of anti-progressive film propaganda that’s unmatched. In the last five years, D’Souza has scored the top two highest-grossing non-concert, non-Disney documentaries at the U.S. box office, 2012’s “Obama’s America” ($33.5 million) and 2014’s “America: Imagine the World Without Her” ($14.4 million). (Third place: Last year’s “Amy,” which earned $8.4 million.)

In the recent film Love and Mercy, a studio musician recording during the Pet Sounds sessions explains to Brian Wilson (Paul Dano) that he’s broken a fundamental rule of music, in that it sounds wrong if you have one person playing in one key and another instrument playing in another. “It sounds right in my head,” he replies.
Back in September, Scott Tobias wrote in The Dissolve something of a manifesto about biopics, “Five simple rules for making biopics about geniuses”: (1) Don’t try and tell a person’s entire life story, (2) show us, don’t just tell us why they’re a genius, (3) don’t tell a genius’s story just because he or she was a great person, (4) find a compelling visual style that matches their genius, (5) and “find the saint in the asshole, find the asshole in the saint.”

Emmy nominee Billy Bob Thornton may have won acclaim for the gritty FX drama "Fargo," but if he had his way, he'd guest star on a pair of polar opposite series.
During an appearance at the Emmy Performers Peer Group party in Beverly Hills Monday, Thornton revealed that his guilty pleasure show is "The Big Bang Theory," which he said his mother got him into. If he had the chance, Thornton said, he'd play "a guy who steals Penny [Kaley Cuoco] away" on the CBS comedy, and admitted that he sometimes gets a bit too wrapped up in the show.
"I started getting into all of these characters, and actually talk back to the television," the actor said in an interview posted on the Television Academy's Instagram account.
"I'll say, 'Cool it, Sheldon, could you lighten up?'" Thornton said of Jim Parsons's high-strung scientist character.
"I love it," he added.

As if there was ever any doubt. With rumors surfacing last fall that J.J. Abrams would shoot parts of "Star War: Episode 7" in the IMAX format and Disney announcing this past spring that the sequel would hit IMAX theaters, it was just a matter of time until the official word came down that yes, Abrams was actually using the cameras, and this wouldn't just be a conversion job. And indeed that's the case, with Abrams' Bad Robot tweeting today an image of the camera with the hashtag #bestformatever. Cool it, guys, let's just hope it's the #bestscriptever first, okay? Again, this is hardly a shock with IMAX CEO Richard Gelford saying earlier this year, "We are talking to J.J. Abrams now about the next 'Star Wars' being used with partly IMAX cameras." And it looks like those talks and tests turned out well, and everyone is now probably high-fiving...

The new upcoming 'Terminator' film may have just dropped its subtitle. The Alan Taylor helmed sequel was originally being touted around town as 'Terminator: Genesis', pointing towards its 'origin'-esque setup. But according to the folks over as Bleeding Cool it seems that Paramount have been marking down relevant licensing, merchandise, and tie-in movie toys for the project simply as 'Terminator'. So with no sign of the word 'Genesis' anywhere to be seen does this mean we have on our hands another annoyingly titled movie that simply decides to drop a 'The' to help differentiate itself from the franchise original? As April leaves us with this one last day, it’s appropriate to end the month’s theme of environmentalism with a look at films that very well could change your mind about something regarding alternative energy or climate change. And even if they don’t go that far, they’ll at least surprise you a bit about their subject matter and probably get you thinking differently. These are not documentaries aimed at sending the usual green messages, but they’re not conservative features looking to debunk those usual green messages, either. They’re about or made by people going against the grain in their thinking on the issues, and that makes them really fascinating. The following list highlights documentaries about the environment that aren’t preaching to the choir. They take risks with different attitudes, and here’s what’s not surprising: none of them are big hits. Cool It From director Ondi Timoner (Dig!; We Live In Public...

It’s a given that a movie poster needs to be both visually and verbally succinct. It must grab your attention in the amount of time it takes to walk past it in the street; it must tell you all you need to know—or enough to make you want to know more—in one arresting image and with one pithy tagline. One of the challenges of movie poster design and movie marketing is to say as much as possible in a small space and few words.
But then there are posters which break those rules, which, for one reason or another, feel the need to make you stop in your tracks and read. I own a couple of posters for Robert Aldrich films—The Longest Yard and The Emperor of the North— which I’ve always loved because they are anything but succinct. In place of taglines these two tough-guy movies have long-winded,...

1.) A lengthy report from HitFix details what Brad Bird's secretive Tomorrowland movie is apparently all about giving the following logline: A teenage girl, a genius middle-aged man (who was kicked out of Tomorrowland) and a pre-pubescent girl robot attempt to get to and unravel what happened to Tomorrowland, which exists in an alternative dimension, in order to save Earth. The details continue in this explanation where George Clooney will play Frank Walker and Hugh Laurie will play David Nix: The "Tomorrowland" that they keep referring to in this break-down appears to be a place where science has blown past the world we live in, and when Frank Walker was a young man, he first encountered the promise of Tomorrowland at the 1964 World's Fair. David Nix was there, showing off his own work, and he told Walker to come back when he was older and his inventions actually worked.

Or perhaps, both- after all, can there ever really be final answers in life to the curious mind, who will endlessly seek out more questions to be answered? Also, Spencer lost Toby, did a bag of crack and went Crazy. Episode 318!
The girls are all simmering over Aria's great loss, as if no one is breathing outside of their windows waiting to lick up their blood. Just then, Spencer The Worst Avenger gets a text from her private investigator, claiming to have information on Black Hooded Toby's dark past, while Jason walks in to woo Aria yet again. "Guess what,...

Anyone with longer locks understand the hassle of keeping it in tip-top shape, free of split ends and full of shine. So, when E! News caught up with glossy-maned Beverly Hills real housewife Kyle Richards, we asked her for her top three hair care tips: 1. Cool it on styling tools: Flatirons, blow dryers, curling irons—they are your hair's worst nightmare! "Go as easy as you can with heat styling, and if you must, keep the temperature settings low," she says. 2. Don't use a lot of product: This can dull the shine and will build up in your hair over time, causing adverse effects. "Less is definitely more when it comes to putting product in your...

Should you ever get the chance to interview Michelle Williams, you might notice a strange tension in the room. For Williams, there's still that certain subject hovering over any media appearance. It's at least part of the reason why paparazzi relentlessly hound the three-time Oscar nominee, like they had done earlier on the morning that I met her.
I had no intention of bringing up that subject -- Williams has already spoken about Heath Ledger at length in the past -- but she had no idea what to expect from our interview. In other words: the notoriously media-shy Michelle Williams had every right in the world to be guarded -- something that doesn't exactly make my job any easier. As it turns out, however, I shouldn't have been worried.

Chicago--"I don’t know why Rihanna complained, Chris Brown could beat me anytime he wanted to.”
This Tweet and similar others circulated in the days following Sunday’s Grammy Awards, where Chris Brown, known primarily as a singer and secondarily as the allegedly abusive ex-boyfriend of pop star Rihanna, performed twice during the two-hour show. His appearance came in the middle of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
The flippant responses to Brown's appearance -- from other artists, from the Grammy Foundation, which does extensive outreach work with youth, and from young people across social media platforms -- were especially jarring considering statistics showing that 1.5 million high school students will be abused by a dating partner in the Unite States this year.

Google has been named as the most environmentally friendly It company by Greenpeace. The search engine giant topped the campaign group's 'Cool It' leaderboard, replacing last year's leader Cisco. Greenpeace praised Google for its continuous investment in renewable energy and its efforts to meet climate change targets. Apple did not make the list, and was criticised for failing to adopt the green strategies of its competitors. "[Apple] has not demonstrated leadership or elected to pursue market opportunities to drive It energy solutions that many of its competitors have, despite record profits and large cash reserves," read a statement from Greenpeace. Facebook was another notable absentee, but the charity confirmed that the social network will appear on next year's charts following the announcement of its high-profile campaign to adopt renewable energy (more)...

Everything's bigger in Texas, but this season of "Top Chef" proves that bigger doesn't always mean better.
Before you go bursting through those saloon doors with your six-shooters blazing, I'm not knocking cowboy boots, chili cook-offs and rodeos. I just think it's worth noting that I was born and raised in the great state of Texas, and at no time during those 22 years was any of that a mainstay in my daily life, let alone a requirement.
Sure, as "Top Chef Texas" has already shown us, if you do find yourself at a rodeo, there will be boots and 10-gallon hats and plenty of meaty food; but we didn't ride horses to school, we don't all come out of the womb on a buckin' bronco and some of us are even vegetarians. (The horror, I know.)
The Texas cowboy lifestyle isn't the only thing "Top Chef Texas" has over-exaggerated. While...

"Fellow Star folks! Cool it down!" admonishes Star Trek veteran and Star Wars: The Clone Wars guest star George Takei, 74, in this hilarious follow-up clip to the (sadly, earthbound) YouTube video wars pitting Star Trek's Captain Kirk aka William Shatner against Star Wars' Princess Leia aka Carrie Fisher. (Where are Harrison Ford and Leonard Nimoy when you most need them?)
"Each is wonderful in its own special way," Takei reassures us all. But then, as the dark background music slowly rises, Takei warns us that "what's needed today more than ever is Star Peace, for there's an ominous, mutual threat to all science fiction."
Now, what's that ominous menace to Capt. Kirk, Princess Leia, the Man from Planet X, Godzilla, and the floating fetus from 2001: A Space Odyssey?
"It's called … Twilight," Take explains, adding, "And it is really, really bad." As he speaks, we see in the...

Sulu actor said: 'gone is any sense of heroism, camaraderie, or epic battle. In its place, we have vampires that go to high school'
It is a decades-long feud that has divided sci-fi fans for as long as the Millenium Falcon first fired up its thrusters and flashed across cinema screens, providing an alternative lure to the attractions of the USS Enterprise and its bold crew.
But after simmering tensions between the Star Trek and Star Wars communities broke into open hostilities involving two of the franchises' most iconic stars, an appeal has been made by George Takei (aka Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu from the helm of the Enterprise) for a ceasefire in the face of a mutual foe: The Twilight franchise.

The New York Post reports that actress Olivia Wilde was spotted dining with Jake Gyllenhaal last night.
The two looked "very cozy" at Chinatown Brasserie, sitting next to each other at a table for eight. "They were in a group but were very cozy with their chairs pulled close together," a source told the paper.
Back in June they were spotted at Chareau Marmont in L.A., but their reps claimed they were just friends.
Wilde finalized her divorce from Tao Ruspoli in October, but she's been linked to several actors including Justin Timberlake, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling, since she and Ruspoli split in February.
Wilde even turned to Twitter to quash rumors she was hooking up with her 'In Time' co-star, Justin Timberlake.
"Cool it, honeybadgers. We are just friends and have been for years," she wrote about her relationship with the pop star turned actor.

Who loves you, baby? Celebrities! They love you soooo much. They don’t just flash you the peace sign anymore, either. That went out with all the Asian tourists (Jk Luv U Asian Tourists! More Peace Signs Plz!). Now, the cool way to express appreciation for your fans is to curl each of your hands into a “C” shape, touch them at your fingertips, and create a heart shape. It’s the best way to say “I love you” without actually saying it! No kidding! Even The New York Times agrees! Everyone uses the “hand heart,” from Katy Perry (sure!) to Channing Tatum (okay…) to Jennie Garth (huh?). And it’s not going away anytime soon, so here are some of the celebrities who reeeeeeeeally love you that big: 18. Janet Jackson 17. Lady Gaga 16. Blake Lively 15. Britney Spears 14. Channing Tatum 13. Demi Lovato 12. Jennie Garth 11. Jordin Sparks 10. Justin Bieber 9. Victoria Justice 8 and...

How many times have you heard a beautiful, rich and famous celebrity opine about how “nerdy” or “dorky” they were in high school? It’s like, guys? Cool it, okay? We get it: you’re modest! Bless your heart, how far you’ve come! It’s one of the most grating (and predictable) tropes among the Hollyweird: these beautiful actors and actresses go on TV and confide in Jay Leno (and, like, millions of viewers) that they were once ugly and weird and awkward. Sure, okay, whatever you say, guys. Cameron Diaz has already done it, and she was taken to task by Tina Fey, who was The Real Deal. Nevertheless, here are 8 other famous people who should just stop saying they were weird teenagers. Enough, guys. Enough. 8. Malin Akerman: I wasn’t really the popular girl in school and didn’t have any boyfriends in high school because I was a nerd.

There aren’t too many outlets that review short films. At Moving Pictures we have a tradition known as “The Short List,” short reviews of short films we’ve seen that we think are worth a look.

You know how sometimes you run into your ex at a party and at first it’s like, "Oh, hey, I didn’t know you were going to be here. Cute scarf" or whatever, and then it’s like, "Inside joke about the last time we had Jägerbombs together" and then it’s eye-f--king across the room and then she’s back at your place and it totally doesn’t matter that tomorrow your friends are going to be like, "What the actual hell were you thinking? That girl was up, that girl was down, that girl made you crazy, that girl was crazy," because your brain has gone blind in a dopamine-fueled haze of ecstasy?

I hadn't heard of Bjorn Lomborg before I sat down to view Ondi Timoner's new documentary about Lomborg and his unorthodox but seemingly more intelligent (and probably infinitely more useful) approach to climate change and global warming than what we've been served up until now. Cool It is a smart title on several counts. It's swift and even a bit cute, while telling us not to get so worked up and apocalyptic about global warming and its results upon our tired and increasingly put-upon Mother Earth.

Overall, a pretty solid week for new releases on DVD and Blu-ray led by Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, which finally hits stores amidst a minor controversy [1]. Other major titles include Disney's CG-animated film Tangled, All Good Things starring Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst, and Doug Liman's political thriller Fair Game starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. There's also a handful of decent non-fiction releases include IMAX: Hubble, Ondi Timoner's Cool It, and Adrian Grenier's fascinating yet flawed Teenage Paparazzo, plus in the TV department we have Season 4 of Mad Men and the first season of HBO's Treme from The Wire creator David Simon. If that's not enough, catch up on some classics in high-def like The Ten Commandments, Teen Wolf and the Scream trilogy. Check out the full list of new releases after the jump. Chicago – Any film that adds to the climate debate by bringing in a fresh and intelligent voice is certainly worth one’s time. From that perspective, “Cool It” is a documentary of considerable value, though it’s less rewarding than one might hope. Though it aims to be the cinematic rebuttal to “An Inconvenient Truth,” it falls far short, in part because the film simply isn’t as well-crafted or effective as Davis Guggenheim’s 2006 Oscar-winner.
“Truth” served its purpose as a call to alarm, jettisoning the undeniable yet controversial issue of global warming into the public consciousness. As author of “The Skeptical Environmentalist,” Bjørn Lomborg is determined to debunk the scare-tactics and misinformation that he feels ran rampant throughout “Truth.” Yet with its reputation-cleansing montages and self-serving analysis, “Cool It” is every bit as much a manipulative work of propaganda as Guggenheim’s film, lionizing Lomborg in much the...

This is one hell of a big release week for DVDs, quantitatively speaking, but there are only a handful of high profile titles among the flood of new-to-you releases. But what are these big titles you wonder? Well I could tell you, or I could make you click through to discover them for yourself. So how about this… if I can guess the answer to a math problem where You provide the numbers then you have to read through the entire column. Deal? Ok. Pick a three digit number where all three can’t be the same, reverse it, then subtract the smaller from the larger (ex. 997 <-> 799… 997-799=198). Now reverse the difference and add them (ex. 198<->891… 198+891=1089), and I bet I can guess your answer. It’s 1089 isn’t it? I’ve just blown your mind haven’t I? Now you’ll read the column, won’t you? Cool It This is what common sense looks like. The...

"The Resident" (2011)
Directed by Antti Jokinen
Released by Image Entertainment
This actually isn't the first time Hilary Swank has seen one of her films go direct to DVD after the films "Red Dust" and "Birds of America" suffered the same fate, but surely there was more riding on this horror film from the resurgent Hammer Films about a recently separated doctor who learns her Brooklyn loft isn't quite as wonderful as she thought it would be.
