Though his work is wide-ranging, a huge part of Gerard Butler's career has revolved around action films. After appearing in a period piece for his debut film, he played a supporting role in the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997. Since then, he has been in multiple other action movies, including Olympus Has Fallen and Kandahar. Some of his action films have fallen into the climate survival subgenre, including both Greenland and Geostorm, the former of which has a sequel, Greenland: Migration, scheduled for this year.

One of Butler's biggest action franchises as a leading star is the Den of Thieves movies. Most recently, the franchise saw the release of its second installment, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera. The movie grossed $56.7 million worldwide, making it the no. 5 highest-grossing movie of the year so far. Pantera received decent reviews, which was positive enough to warrant the development of a third film.

Vampires, werewolves, and vampire-human hybrids roamed Forks and the world, and inevitably, there were power struggles between these supernatural factions. This led to some memorable battles across The Twilight Saga, some of which stood out particularly.

From Edward's intense confrontation with James to thrilling werewolf fights, these battles were action-packed and highly emotional, which was what kept viewers hooked. They balanced out the romantic and sweet parts of the franchise and added a lot of excitement to Edward and Bella's love story. These fights upped the stakes of the story and also showcased the best of vampire and werewolf strength.

Actor Robert Pattinson (The Batman) recently found out the hard way that at least one person thinks his career ended after the Twilight franchise finished making movies. The actor, in an interview with The New York Times, admitted that an airport employee thought he had disappeared from Hollywood after the last Twilight movie.

Pattinson recalled that while on a trip with his fiancé, Suki Waterhouse, he was stopped by an immigration officer at passport control. The employee recognized him and said, “‘Hey, you’re the guy from Twilight. Why’d you stop acting?’” Unsure of how to respond to the worker, Pattinson said, “I was like…'I’m Batman?’” Pattinson said the worker “just laughed” at his answer.

I never thought I'd be writing about Twilight again after the hit franchise came to an epic end in 2012 with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. But now there's some exciting news! According to Deadline, Netflix has given the upcoming show a straight-to-series order in animation form. That's right. The new Twilight series is going to be animated. The production is currently in development and Meyers is on board as one of the executive producers. Joining her in the role is Tell Me Lies writer Sinead Daly who is also going to be penning scripts. No release date or cast members have been confirmed yet.
