NBC's latest "Suits" spin-off has finally arrived, introducing fans to a new setting, fresh characters, and more unique cases in the world of law. Centering around Ted Black (Stephen Amell) and the other characters who work at his firm, "Suits LA" tackles everything from murder mysteries to Hollywood drama, with the latter opening the door to some fun celebrity cameos. However, the Dylan Pryor character looks set to be at the heart of the celebrity-centric chaos in season 1, and viewers who grew up watching Nickelodeon shows might recognize her from a pair of classics.
The "Suits LA" season 1 premiere, "Seven Days a Week and Twice on a Sunday," introduces Dylan as an in-demand actor who Ted's firm wants to represent. He plays it cool and pretends that no skin will fall off his nose if she chooses a competitor, but we later learn that Ted really wants Dylan to be his client.

Nickelodeon and Victorious alum Victoria Justice is breaking her silence on Dan Schneider following the docu-series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
In a new interview, Justice recalls her “complex” relationship with Schneider and feels she’s owed an apology.
“Something that was very evident in the documentary is that Dan had a very large ego,” Justice told Marie Claire. “And sometimes that ego clouded his better judgment and affected the way he treated people, and there were times I felt like I was being treated unfairly.”
Justice says that nothing sexual ever happened with Schneider she does recall some moments that “were in poor taste.” After watching the docuseries, Schneider said he owed people an apology, and to that, Justice said, “I would say I’m definitely one of the people on that list.”

Just completed, the three feature-length films in the series are eyeing a summer 2024 release via Gde’s horror vertical Cranked Up Films.
Fresh Hell is a three-feature film anthology series from writer/director Quinn Armstrong; the films are titled Dead Teenagers, The Exorcism of Saint Patrick, and Wolves Against the World, each different film said to be “linked by time and space.”
“The first horror movie I ever remember watching was Creepshow and I still think that horror anthologies are the backbone of the genre,” says Armstrong. “It’s been such a pleasure to work in the tradition of horror anthologies to create Fresh Hell, an anthology of features with a modern twist.”

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, but wasn’t able to dig up any information on the character Lindhome will be playing… which is to be expected, because all They Listen plot and character details are being kept entirely under wraps.
They Listen is coming to us from Sony, Blumhouse, and Depth of Field. Weitz is producing the film with Jason Blum and Andrew Miano. Bea Sequeira, Dan Balgoyen, Britta Rowings, and Paul Davis serve as executive producers. Filming was already underway in Los Angeles back in December.

The summer movie season may be winding down, but HBO Max is keeping the movie ball rolling in September 2021. HBO Max’s list of new releases this month is heavy on the film side of things – both in library and original offerings.
Two Warner Bros. films of note arrive this month. The James Wan-directed horror tale Malignant premieres on Sept. 10 and is followed by Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho on Sept. 17. The next installment in Adventure Time: Distant Lands (which is kind of like a film series!) is titled Wizard City and opens the month on Sept. 2
Of course, it wouldn’t be a new month of HBO Max releases without some interesting evergreen Warner movie titles. Sept. 1 finds all eight Harry Potter movies returning to WarnerMedia’s streaming service. They will be accompanied by The Goonies, The Evil Dead, Cloverfield, and more. Later on in the month, Mortal Kombat (Sept.

Hulu has released its list of content arriving at the streaming service this June, as well as everything that will no longer be available to watch there after June 30.
At the top of the must-watch list is season three of Hulu Original “The Handmaid’s Tale,” which was notably pushed back to a June premiere date in order to ensure it would “maintain the quality it has,” Craig Erwich, Hulu’s Senior Vice President of Originals, said at the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour in February. The first three episodes of the new season premiere on Hulu June 5, after which new episodes will be released every Wednesday.
Another Hulu Original of note is “The Weekly” series from The New York Times, coming June 3. Each half-hour episode will feature a Times journalist investigating one of today’s most pressing issues, with new issues being explored each week.

"Who are all these people?" Nothing like a funny short film set in a romantic city to brighten up your day! Ciao Lola is a short comedy made by producer / filmmaker Oscar Boyson, running only six minutes in total. It was filmed in Venice back in 2016, and is now available to watch online. The short stars Jane Levy as Lola and Thomas McDonell as Peter, a couple visiting the gorgeous Italian city. There's some unexplained subtext to this that isn't implicit, but you'll figure it out as it goes along. I like the playfulness of this, and all the lovely shots of Venice. Enjoy! 5th Update Sunday 7Am: With updated chart as of 9Am A dull weekend at the box office, and Saturday night really didn’t move the needle that much. Disney is calling Solo: A Star Wars Story at $29.3M, -65%, for a running total of $148.9M. This is after a Saturday that was +51% over Friday with $12.4M. That’s the lowest second weekend for any Disney Star Wars title, plus the 20th Century Fox released Episodes I-iii. For any big event title that opened over Memorial Day weekend, a mid 60% drop in weekend 2 is common; it’s just extremely painful for Solo because it didn’t start out so high. In the previous update, we continued to harp on what went wrong. But clearly that A- CinemaScore and overall 87% positive score from PostTrak isn’t triggering word of mouth to hook more people into the theater. There’s still too much...

Happy HalloOooOOween. Let’s make sure we’re on the same page here, people.
1. Do not do blackface. No matter how “respectful” you think your costume is. No matter how many black friends you say you have. Learn from Julianne Hough’s mistakes. Do not do blackface.
2. Seriously, do not do blackface. Just don’t do it.
3. Or any other culturally or otherwise insensitive costumes. Don’t be racist. Don’t be misogynistic. If you’re actively trying to piss people off with your costume, you are actually just an A-hole. That’s your costume and yourself.
4. Don’t dress as anyone who was arrested this year. Or someone who was killed. Or involved in any form of tragedy within a 365-day calendar year. There’s no such thing as “too soon” when literally no time has passed.

I have an enjoyable trailer for you to watch today for a set of horror themed shorts called Fun Size Horror. There are 31 horror films in the anthology, and many of them are teased in this trailer. All the shorts were made by a collection of filmmakers who had to follow two rules: The movie had to be horror themed, and it had to be five minutes or less in length.
The short films were self-financed and produced by the talented individuals who made them. Zeke Pinheiro came up with the concept, and he said,
“It occurred to me that I know all these great filmmakers, who are always wanting to create their own thing and all love horror, but were never given a platform. So I figured, why don’t we pool our skills, equipment and resources, and create a collective with the goal of each of us creating...

This seems like a really cool idea for burgeoning filmmakers and I'm glad we're one of the participating sites. It's a nice low stakes way to experiment with the genre and take risks, and there's some really good talent behind it. Fun Size Horror is a horror film collective that has come together to create 31 films to celebrate Halloween. The shorts will be distributed across five sites - Dread Central, Bloody-Disgusting, ShockTilyYouDrop, HitFix and Collider during the week leading up to Halloween! All of the Fun Size Horror short films have been independently produced by a wide range of filmmakers including Josh Waller, Glen Murakami, Mali Elfman, with participating actors Lance Reddick, Rose McIver, Tracie Thoms, Brea Grant, Amy Dallen, Victor Webster, and Diva Zappa. Each short will only be up for 24 hours before being replace by the next so you have to act quick! Filmmaker Zeke Pinheiro came up...

Universal Pictures has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Fake Empire, the company run by “Fun Size” producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Universal will get first dibs on all projects that Fake Empire develops for the big screen. The studio and Fake Empire already worked together on the 2014 film “Endless Love,” a movie about young love, and are collaborating on “Monster High,” based on the Mattel franchise. Schwartz and Savage have had tremendous success in television, producing ‘The O.C.,” “Gossip Girl” and “Chuck.” Those TV shows target the same young audience Universal would like to attract on the feature side.

To celebrate today's 10th anniversary of "Mean Girls," everyone should do what I did last night and rewatch the hilarious high-school flick (it's currently available to stream just about everywhere, but I admit to owning it on DVD). There's a reason we're making a big deal about the biting comedy's decade mark. In the 10 years since "Mean Girls" was released, no other realistic teen comedy (meaning not the ones about magical orphans, sparkling vampires, or dystopian warriors) has come close to becoming as much a cultural touchstone as the Tina Fey-penned, Mark Waters-directed classic.
Waters, who in the ensuing decade has directed or produced seven films, including "500 Days of Summer," "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," and "Vampire Academy," told Moviefone that he thinks the reason "Mean Girls" still resonates with audiences is that essentially the high-school experience is the same one generation to the next. "The big theme of...

Cyber crime, killers and online dating -- get ready for "Eye Candy," a new drama that's the second TV project to be produced by Catherine Hardwicke, director of "Thirteen" and "Twilight," EPing alongside Jason Blum ("Paranormal Activity"). Hardwicke directed the pilot, which will be reshot, and today MTV gave the thriller series a 10-episode order. No premiere date's been set yet. Read More: 'Insidious,' 'Paranormal Activity' Producer Jason Blum On the Secret to His Phenomenal Success The series features former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice ("Fun Size") as a web-savvy but reclusive hacker hottie who exposes terrorist plots and suspected killers on her blog. After entering the online dating world, she ends up connecting with a culprit and teams up with law enforcement to catch the cyberstalker. As much as it sounds like "Hackers" meets "Gossip Girl," the pilot is based on a novel by R.L. Stine,...

Mike Judge is going back to work. The brains behind one of the best workplace comedies of all time, "Office Space," is once again returning to the well of punching the clock, this time with a modern age twist, with HBO's "Silicon Valley." And yes, as one of our 20 Most Anticipated TV Shows Of 2014, we're very excited for this one. Perhaps the most promising thing about the new series is that it's given a handful of people who aren't household names yet a big chance to shine. The ensemble cast includes Thomas Middleditch ("Fun Size," "The Kings Of Summer," "The Wolf Of Wall Street"), Playlist fave T.J. Miller ("Successful Alcoholics," "Our Idiot Brother"), Zach Woods (Gabe from "The Office"), Martin Starr ("Freaks & Geeks," "Party Down"), Kumail Nanjiani ("Franklin & Bash"), Josh Brener, Christopher Welch, and Amanda Crew. It's a pretty solid lineup. And the premise, following a bunch of tech nerds...

Update: Kevin Hart (Ride Along) will voice one of the fourth-grader troublemakers who hypnotize their kid-hating principal Mr. Krupp (The Lorax' Ed Helms) into believing he's a skivvies-wearing superhero in the animated film Captain Underpants. Thomas Middleditch (Fun Size) will play the other fourth-grader. Jordan Peele from Comedy Central's sketch comedy show "Key & Peele" will play George and Harold's nemesis Melvin. Nick Kroll from Comedy Central's The Kroll Show will voice the villain Professor Poopypants.
Oct. 20, 2011- DreamWorks Animation will make a movie out of the Captain Underpants books. Dav Pilkey's comic-type kids books are about fourth-graders George Beard and Harold Hutchins who are fed up with their mean high school principal so they hypnotize him into becoming Captain Underpants, a superhero who is kind to students. The boys shadow the principal in his superhero alternareality, making sure he doesn't hurt himself and getting him out of jams.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa was one of last year's big surprise hits, coming out of nowhere to dominate the box office. On its way to over $100 million, the comedy is coming home on Blu-ray January 28th. To usher in the release, we caught up with director Jeff Tremaine, the master chef behind all of the Jackass movies. He let us in on the making of the film itself, some of the challenges it posed and where they plan to go in the future.
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa is interesting in that it takes a different approach than past films in the Jackass franchise. It sets up a clear narrative, with Johnny Knoxville never breaking character as the 86 year-old Irving Zisman, though most of the interactions seen in the film between him, his on-screen grandson Billy (played by the greatest child actor of his time Jackson Nicoll) and the people around them are completely real.

It's been in the works for a while now, but it looks like the "10 Things I Hate About You" spinoff is finally getting off the ground.
The movie, called "10 Things I Hate About Life," isn't a sequel so much as a continuation of the beloved teen flick, described as "advanc[ing] situations from the original film." In its current iteration, it stars Evan Rachel Wood and Thomas McDonell ("Fun Size," ABC series "Suburgatory") as two people who meet just as they're about to commit suicide, and end up falling in love.
Production had started a year ago before shooting was shut down, but now filming is expected to begin again in December. A previous version of the movie had "Captain America" star Hayley Atwell attached in Wood's role.

Jackson Nicoll made quite an impression on Chelsea Handler when they costarred in the 2012 movie Fun Size. Johnny Knoxville? Not so much. The latter appeared on the Thursday, Oct. 24, episode of Chelsea Lately, where he and Handler swapped stories about working with the 9-year-old scene-stealer. After Handler said she worked with the "nugget" on a movie that "bombed" last Halloween, Knoxville laughed and told the talk show host, "We were in it together." "Oh, you were in it, too?" Handler asked, laughing. The comedienne went on to call Nicoll "super annoying" and "a dick," but Knoxville said he was so impressed with the young star's talent that he decided to cast...

With the comedy hitting cinemas in the UK tomorrow, and the Us at the end of the week, a great new red-band trailer has landed over on Break, giving a highly unsuitable new look at the movie.
86 year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companions, his 8 year-old Grandson Billy in “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa”. This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicoll) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.
Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers,...

Jackass front man Johnny Knoxville resurrects Oap character Irving Zisman for his very own movie, Bad Grandpa. We first saw the 90-year-old’s high jinx back on MTV in 2001. He seems to be doing well and aging backwards as he’s now 86 years old in this – must be the fresh cheek of youth rubbing off on him from grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll) who comes along for the ride. Fear not, this is Jackass with the crude knob turned down a touch but the odd toilet humour gag and latex prosthetics body parts are on show.
Zisman has just lost his wife, had his eight-year-old grandson he barely knows dumped on him by his junkie daughter Kimmy (Georgina Cates) who scarpers at Mum’s (co-writer Spike Jonze in drag) funeral to avoid doing jail-time, and is then forced to make the trip across America to hand his grandson over to his waster father he detests.

Director: Jeff Tremaine; Screenwriters: Jeff Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze; Starring: Johnny Knoxville, Jackson Nicoll, Spike Jonze; Running time: 92 mins; Certificate: 15
The Jackass team depart from their stunt-driven slapstick formula to present latest film Bad Grandpa. Johnny Knoxville is still putting his body on the line in the name of comedy, but it's a tad more restrained here as he's in the guise of 86-year-old Irving Zisman, a character who first appeared on the Jackass TV show back in 2001.
This is a comedy in the mould of Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat and The Dictator, with writers Jeff Tremaine (who also directs), Spike Jonze and Knoxville crafting a road trip narrative to connect a series of hidden camera gags played on the unsuspecting public. Joining Irving on the anarchic trans-America trip is his 8-year-old grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll), who needs to be reunited with his estranged father after his addict mother is given jail time.

Johnny Knoxville is set to return to the big screen next month, this time reprising his role as Irving Zisman in Jackass for the character’s feature-length debut, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.
Paramount took us by surprise earlier in the year when they announced that the previously-rumoured movie would be taking Paranormal Activity 5’s October release date. And things instantly started to look good when the first trailer hit last month.
More recently, the studio released the first poster. And now they’ve released a new UK poster, via Yahoo Movies, which sees Knoxville (and please, forgive the pun) getting trollied, in more than one sense.

One of the biggest surprises of the year so far has been Paramount’s announcement that they’d be switching out Paranormal Activity 5 on their calendar for the previously-unannounced Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.
The movie had been rumoured in the past, but nobody had known that the film had already been shot, and was already prepping for its release.
A few weeks back, that announcement was followed by a hilarious first trailer. And now the studio have released the first poster, with Johnny Knoxville front and centre as the eponymous Bad Grandpa, and Jackson Nicoll (Fun Size) being carried by his pants alongside him.

A few weeks back, Paramount surprised everyone by announcing that Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa would be arriving in cinemas this October.
The film, which had been rumoured but previously unconfirmed, took the studio’s release slot for Paranormal Activity 5, and all signs suggest it’s going to be a huge winner for them, as an altogether different kind of low-budget, potentially high-reward movie.
With less than three months to go before it hits cinemas, the first trailer and images from the movie surfaced last night, giving us a hilarious first look at the upcoming comedy.
