Typical, cliché, a little slow for today's audience but...

Look we've all seen cheesy movies. This could be worse. At least it employed some Black folks. I think movies have one of three types.

Hollywood Happy Ending, Shakespeare Tragedy, or WTF? (trying to make you think, but about what is always the issue)

I would have had the ending where their time together caused them to help each other. The ending this story has was not as plausible. And even though my way you would have seen an hour into the movie at least it would have been more believable.

Good Luck. Medea's family it ain't. Favorite line: "not gonna happen dot com." said by my favorite character too.

Dysfunctional film as well...

This ensemble film seems to take influence from the likes of 'Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?' in approach and tone. That description alone should serve notice that the film isn't going to offer much in freshness or originality. A personal issue I have with films such as this is the fact that the characters as written aren't likeable enough to root for them and filmmakers seem to assume because the actors in the roles are attractive we should always want to see them win at the conclusion of the plot. This film is no exception to that rule. On top of that, certain improbable coincidences occur during the plot to keep the narrative going which always irks me. Good looking cast with performances that waver in quality, teetering from slightly below average to solid, at times from the same actor(s). I was entertained at the climactic dinner scene in the third act which, as stated before, seemed to take a note from the Tyler Perry school of melodrama and humor. Rather basic camerawork, nothing special but looks decent for a lower budget film. The scene transition editing wasn't smooth. Did not like the music/score in the film. Felt rather generic and histrionic. Film doesn't make much of an impression but is alright for a little light entertainment if some of these performers are personal favorites to anyone.

Great Concept

This movie is one of the best of 2012! In Dysfunctional Friends you see some very talented fresh faces Like Christian Keyes and Angela Simmons and many of the pros coming together on one screen like Stacy Dash and Datari Turner. The bond between friends is the overall theme in this drama/comedy and its the relationships; both past and present that make us who we are. I laughed hard and even got teary-eyed in the nearly 2 hour film. This movie is a classic and I wish that it could have had a better chance of being on the silver screen with a bigger budget. Good movie Enjoy

Positive Blk Film

I watched this film with my mother and I have to say we enjoyed it. Finally, a movie about young black people with good careers and good actors. We liked the plot of the movie. I feel like it had a nice flow to it and the characters were developed well enough. The movie was very entertaining. The only thing that I didn't like about the movie was the choice of words the characters used. Sometimes when arguments ignited in the movie the curse words flowed excessively. During those scenes I feel like the f bomb could have been left out. If you don't care to hear the words mf'ers and the f bomb just mute the angry scenes and enjoy the rest of the movie;)

Very entertaining

Great movie! Awesome cast and directing! It is wonderful to see an all black movie without drugs and violence. Keep making more of these types of films. Congrats to Terrell Owens on his movie debut.

Meeting up after the death of a close friend, a motley crew of college friends learns each of them is lined up to inherit a huge sum of money according to the terms of the will. The catch? They must remain in each other's company inside a mansion for the entire weekend. Is the dear departed trying to teach his beneficiaries about friendship...or was his gesture just a strange way of getting everyone's secrets out?

Dysfunctional Friends: A far cry from dysfunctional

Wonderful acting with a great story line. The directing was ON Point, and the film was written very well.I laughed as well as cried cried. Keith Robinson's vocals are on point. The music video is lovely and the song is catchy and addictive. The all-star cast never misses a beat. The acting was so good, I watched it three times just to make sure I hadn't missed anything or any lines. Makes me wonder why some of these wonderful actors aren't blowing up like they deserve.I hope there is going to be a sequel. This is one I must have for my library, especially if Mr. Grant makes Dysfunctional Friends part 2. Looking forward to seeing more Corey Grant productions. However, Mr. Grant is going to have stay on top of his game, because this film was very entertaining. I am going to recommend it to my friends and family.

Funny, dysfunctional and the truth of friends who haven't seen each other in a decade is bound to come out

Oh my lord I laughed so hard at certain parts. I thought it was one of the greatest movies I've seen in years! Would watch time and time again! Told my husband we are going to buy it because I want him to see it. He goes it looks like a movie that's romance, funny, breaking trusts and a good movie!!
