Michael Hogan has a long and distinguished acting career on stage as well as in television and film, and is also an accomplished voice actor. To many however, he will always best be remembered as Colonel Saul Tigh from the Syfy series, Battlestar Galactica. Tigh was the number two in command and a passionate fighter for human rights against the evil Cylon forces. In some of the most powerful episodes of the series, and arguably some of the best drama on television, Tigh went from his command role on the ship to ground soldier and freedom fighter on the planet. And finally, it a dramatic twist, Col. Saul Tigh was revealed to in fact be one of the final five Cylons, the very thing which he had dedicated his life to fighting. In the Battlestar fan community, Michael Hogan had a different reputation; the one star of the series who did rarely,...

It feels like it has been too long since Syfy has uncorked some new man-eating monster movies for us to sink our teeth into. That'll change come June when the network unleashes a pair of toothy monstrosities: Ice Road Terror and Swamp Shark. Syfy has posted a trio of bloody scenes from each monster mash.
The carnage begins on June 11th at 9/8 Central when Ice Road Terror reaches its destination on your television dial. Dylan Neal ("Dawson's Creek", "Blood Ties") and Brea Grant (Halloween II, "Heroes") star in this creature feature about Alaskan ice road truckers and a research analyst tangling with an unearthed prehistoric monster. The director (Terry Ingram) and writer (Keith Shaw) of Syfy's Phantom Racer reteam for this creature feature inspired by the popular reality series "Ice Road Truckers". Curiously, though, one thing you will not actually see in these clips is any actual ice road trucking.

Summer 2011 will see a number of Syfy horror-oriented series and Original Movies.
Syfy’s summer programming will include the new original series Haunted Collector, premiering Wednesday, June 1 at 9 p.m. (Et/Pt), in which a family of paranormal investigators hunt down haunted items bedeviling their owners. The second season of Haven (based on a Stephen King story) starts up Friday, July 15 at 10 p.m. (Et/Pt). Last season, when FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) arrived in the town of Haven, Maine on a routine case, her knack for unraveling mysteries proved an asset when she discovered that the seemingly sleepy town was, in fact, a longtime refuge for people with supernatural afflictions. Now, in Season Two, Audrey must not only stay on top of Haven’s many afflictions, but also solve her most challenging case yet: the secret of her own lost past and its ties to Haven. Ghost Hunters International debuts Wednesday,...

Those "Ice Road Truckers" you watch on the History Channel are used to contending with driving over frozen lakes and roads and other dangerous subzero conditions near the Arctic Circle. Syfy's Ice Road Terror introduces a road hazard those brave truckers aren't used to dealing with: an unfrozen prehistoric monster.
Ice Road Terror stars Brea Grant ("Heroes"), Ty Olsson ("Battlestar Galactica"), Dylan Neal ("Dawson's Creek"), and Malcolm Stewart ("Kyle Xy"). Terry Ingram, a filmmaker no stranger to making TV movies about unholy terrors having previously helmed Phantom Racer, Odysseus: Voyage to the Underworld, and Paparazzi Princess: The Paris Hilton Story, directs from a script by Keith Shaw (Malibu Shark Attack, Phantom Racer).
Here's the plot synopsis provided by sales distributor Content Film:
The treacherous Alaskan ice road becomes the setting for a deadly pursuit in this suspenseful thriller. Two truckers are preparing to traverse a dangerous path across frozen rivers...
