Narrator Hugh Ross ascribes her extraordinary physical condition despite having lived for more than a hundred years to "something almost magical" that occurred in 1937. In fact, throughout her life "there was absolutely no scientific explanation for her condition." If that were the sum total of the exposition in The Age of Adaline, which ropes Harrison Ford into the realm of fantasy as well as Lively, our imaginations could have done the rest. Nevertheless, it was decided that a full science-based theory was in order.

Adaline Stopped Aging After Dying In A Car...

"The Age of Adaline" — directed by Lee Toland Krieger and released in 2015 — is, put simply, a movie centered around the idea that Blake Lively is an inhumanly beautiful creature. This makes it hard to imagine that anyone else could have played Adaline Bowman, a woman unstuck in time who's incapable of aging. What you may not know, though, is that "Grey's Anatomy" veteran Katherine Heigl was originally supposed to play the titular role but ended up dropping out ... so what happened here?

The movie might well be mired in controversy following accusations of sexual harassment on-set, but the "It Ends with Us" behind-the-scenes drama can't take away from the movie's success.

Blake Lively, with her slew of movies, has gained quite a big fan following and popularity world-wide. She made her acting debut in Sandman, released in 1998, but gained international acclaim for playing Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl. The show ran from 2007 to 2012 and lasted for six seasons, and as it progressed, so did the popularity of Lively.

After participating in the teen drama, the actress started getting lead roles in movies as well, and in 2010, while filming Green Lantern, she crossed paths with Ryan Reynolds. The duo initially started as friends, but romantic sparks soon flew between them, and they started dating. They got married in 2012 and currently have four kids together. Further, everything was going well for the actress, and she even had one of the biggest movies of her career lined up.

The CW hit series Gossip Girl is heading to Netflix U.S. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and ran for six seasons and 121 episodes between 2007 and 2012.

Per Netflix, Gossip Girl will be available on the platform starting Oct. 29. It would include all six seasons. The original series followed the lives of upper-class students at a prestigious high school on the Upper East Side, whose lives were chronicled by an unidentified blogger who called themselves "Gossip Girl." The series was so popular that it received a standalone sequel, which ran for two seasons between 2021 and 2023 on HBO Max.
