It’s no surprise that someone made a movie where Osama Bin Laden comes back as a zombie because, you know, humanity does this kind of thing. It’s also probably not a surprise that it comes from the same distribution team that put out Big Tits Zombie (destined for end-of-year Top Ten lists). Here is something to celebrate this holiday season, America, Japanese director Takao Nakano’s 2010 opus, “Big Tits Zombie” (Aka “Big Tits Dragon”), is finally hitting Region 1 DVD Today, November 19! eOne Entertainment are poised to unleash the eye openly titled 'Big Tits Zombie' onto the general public across the Us of A towards the end of next month. The 20th November will see the arrival of the Japanese horror comedy from Jap helmer Takao Nakano. Josie Ho’s 852 Films follow up Pang Ho Cheung’s wonderfully gruesome “Dream Home” with more dark exploitation fare in “Revenge: A Love Story”, a violent tale which very much lives up to its title. Based on a story by pop singer Juno Mak (himself apparently an ardent fan of extreme genre cinema), who also takes the lead role, the film was co-written and directed by Wong Ching Po, and shows the same kind of noirish visual style as his previous outings, in particular cult hit triad thriller “Jiang Hu”. Possibly the film’s biggest draw however is the presence of Japanese adult film actress Aoi Sola (recently in the awesome “Big Tits Zombie 3D”), not quite managing to keep her clothes in her first Chinese language role. Has someone in Thailand been watching Takao Nakano’s J-sploitation horror Big Tits Zombie? We told you about this wacky and potentially fun Japanese goofball flick called Big Tits Zombie (here) a bit ago, and now FUNimation has acquired the film for Us play dates later this Fall in theaters, VOD, and DVD.

Remember when we all marveled at the simple-yet-brilliant title of "Lesbian Vampire Killers"? Well, that title got topped big time this year by "Big Tits Zombie 3D". And yes, I include the "3D" in the title even if Terracotta's DVD-release doesn't, because it makes the film sound ever so much funnier.

And, to make sure the film would make good on at least part of the title, Sola Aoi heads the cast (and no, I just meant she plays the lead). This also ensured much Internet coverage as the famous Japanese porn actress is amongst the most Googled names on the Web. Since I’m a shamelessly tasteless bastard with too much free time on his pathetic little hands, trashy action/horror hybrids such as Takao Nakano’s “Big Tits Zombie” tend to appeal to me, thanks in part to my steady diet of Troma flicks back in the 90′s. I’m more than a little envious right now, as the upcoming boobs and zombies epic is scheduled to arrive on DVD in the UK on October 11th. And while I can thoroughly understand why you’re not as excited as I am about this silly little production, you’ve got to admit that the filmmakers are certainly ambitious in their endeavors. Chicago – Cinema/Chicago is proud to announce the first 20 new films scheduled to appear at the 2010 Chicago International Film Festival, October 7th – 21st. The Chicago festival continues to combine the films of established directors/talent with promising newcomers. Expect some foreign and domestic film surprises.

Screenings will take place at the AMC River East Theater in downtown Chicago during the October festival run. Festival passes are on sale now and individual tickets go on sale September 24th.
